At first I felt that it was impossible for me to learn but they proved me wrong. The owners and instructors worked with me to diagnose my weak points and they nailed it on the head with their constructive feedback and positive outlook. This school truly does not care about the money, they care that their students learn and ace not just the test but their driving, they even allow us to practice after the test! Took the basic riders course in 2022 and the staff and equipment were amazing!!! Would be five stars if they had 5x helmets but I guess I understand

The BRC 1 helped me to go from never riding to understanding how to operate a motorcycle safely and improve upon essential skills. Highly recommend.

A.B.A.T.E. is truly outstanding! Before this, my only experience was with a bicycle—no motorized dirt bikes or anything similar. I started with the IME introduction class, which provided me with a solid foundation of motorcycle knowledge. Then, I took the Basic Rider Course. Although I didn't progress to the next session initially, I appreciated that safety is a top priority in this high-risk sport. Bonnie was incredibly kind and accommodating when she rescheduled me. She took time out of her day to share her inspiring testimonies as a beginner rider, which was very encouraging. Now, I'm thrilled to be standing in line at the DMV/UMV to get my motorcycle license because I passed the Basic Rider Course! A huge thanks to the various staff and the supportive motorcycle community. Special shoutout to Jo and Anastasia for their professional instruction—they were thorough, paced the lessons well, and made the experience fun and informative. They shared many valuable tips and tricks, and I particularly enjoyed the "ah-ha" group reflections after each exercise. A.B.A.T.E. truly sets the foundation for this exciting journey! I'm already looking forward to scheduling my Basic Rider Course 2 class soon. Highly recommend!

Signed up for the beginners course, knowing little to nothing about riding, came out way more confident in myself! Kat and Matt were amazing instructors, very patient, and extremely kind. Would recommend to anyone 👍

I’d definitely recommend this driving school. I learned a lot about the rules of the road and how to be the safest drive I possibly can. The zooms and driving classes were all very helpful and I learned so much from them! Everyone was so understanding and willing to answer any question you had.

I had the chance of learning to drive here, it was great! I had most of my drives with Mr. Caesar. He was very understanding, patient and kind person. Took the time to discuss every detail about driving to me it helped me understand the correct way to drive. Overall great experience would definitely recommend to anyone who asks. The instructors are all very nice and calm during the drives which was very helpful for me. The online class was also very informative on certain actions you should be taking while driving and the reasons behind those actions. I definitely think this course makes me more confident and comfortable driving.

My daughter has been extremely happy with the entire course. We moved down here almost two years ago from North Pole. Looking into other classes offered this one had the highest review I could find within our area that she could walk to due to me working full time and being the only driver in our home. All of the staff has been extremely friendly and informative during the course of her education. She has had nothing but good things to say about this course, so in turn I am very happy. Thank you all for what you do.

The instructors care about the students but the communication could be better.

The team was so responsive and amazing. The training was so in depth and educational. The multiple days of training made it easier to absorb all the information and remember it for my driving time. I had some special circumstances during my driving training and the team was so responsive and accommodating to that. Overall amazing experience with so much great learning. I highly recommend this program.

Amazing experience with this academy! They offered the skid car training I had wanted but I didn't even know if anyone in town was offering it. The classroom training, that's 2 hours. More instruction then competitors, plus the skid car, plus the driver's exam was $5 less than the competitors that offered not nearly as much. We had some special circumstances during the driving time which they accommodated and focused on my daughter having a positive experience. Absolutely wonderful to work with, flexible, caring and informative. And informative. I highly recommend and if I had a second child they would be going here too. Thanks Angie you guys are awesome!!!

The instructor is very good at explaining things. Especially when he pulls out his Ipad to give you a visual, that was very helpful in explaining what to do. Great patience, and really good at teaching tips in measuring your distance from your car to objects like the curb. Brian knows his stuff really well. I think I had around 13-16 hours of driving experiance, and passed my drivers test at first try. This is a great school. I even learned new laws I never knew before. My road awareness level went up after training with Brian. Nice guy. 5/5 stars from me. Great school.

As an adult newish driver, I benefited a lot from both the in class course and the driving lessons! The instruction was wonderful with lots of examples, useful tidbits and lots of time behind the wheel. I learned a tremendous amount and would recommend the program to both adult and and young drivers!

Safe Driver Academy exceeded our expectations so much, it truly felt like we got special treatment. We booked only a Road Test with Safe Driver Academy for our son. No lessons, no instruction, just the Road Test. Over the phone, we were given permission to use their cone setup to practice parallel parking before the test. That, I think, is to be expected. When I showed up with my son, the day before the scheduled road test to practice the parking, the owner volunteered to give him a quick run through of proper parallel parking. In 5 minutes, she gave him a step-by-step lesson that probably would have taken me an hour to teach. He aced it on his first try, and got out of the car and high-fived and smiled with the owner celebrating the successful park. Not only was this above and beyond what could be asked or expected, it seemed like she did so because she genuinely wanted to see him succeed, not a matter of obligation.

Butch was a wonderful teacher, he made me very comfortable and made driving less intimidating. i’m very grateful to have gotten the opportunity to work with him and his team!

My experience at Be Smart Driving Academy was awesome! I definitely think this was the best way to learn to drive properly and learn all the rules of the road. Staff are very nice and are very good with communication and directions when you're learning how to drive. I would 100% recommend this to anyone looking for a good driving school.

My son took his road test for his license. The evaluator went over the expectations before the test and had a calm personality that put my son at ease. After the test he gave genuine feedback and tips. My son passed in his first attempt. I wouldn't hesitate to use their services again. We had a very positive experience.

I took the course class and the driving test at Be Smart Driving Academy. I am a very nervous and shy person and I felt very safe, comfortable and welcomed there. The class was fun and educational. The driving test was really easy going and I got my drivers license the same day I took the test! All the workers there were really nice. My family has decided to also have my brother attend Be Smart Driving Academy in the near future. It definitely deserves 5 stars!

I took the full driving course class and am amazed at how passionate they are! They focus on the safety of not only you, but others too. Butch is one of the funniest people you could meet! He will talk your ears off but you end up wanting to know MORE! Greg was my instructor and he is such a wonderful joy to be with. Making everything easy to learn without the hassle and stress behind the wheel. I have not taken my licence test yet, but I plan to here in the very near future. I will also be taking the winter driving course with them as well. I reccomend this school if you or your child would wish to learn to drive. All ages are welcome! Please come see these guys! It will be worth your while!

Wow wow wow, how does one even begin to describe the service I received since day 1 when I walked in to ask about getting a road test done and to the day I walked in to take my road test they did their utter best to accommodate me ,the staff were so helpful and so attentive they put you first and treat you with such humbleness and kindness .I am forever grateful for them and I would highly recommend them for all your driving needs .Thank you so much to all the staff for all you do :)

AK Daniel Driving School staff were so pleasant and helpful. Once road test was completed (and passed, yay!) we were able to obtain a Real ID drivers license there. We had the option of using their vehicle for the road test or our own. They also allowed us to practice parallel parking in their lot. They had a very convenient schedule for the road test when other places were either closed or booked for months out. It was very helpful to text with the staff, too.

Was able to get my tags renewed very easily and quickly. Staff is very friendly and helpful! Will definitely be returning for all my future DMV needs!

1. The only place in Anchorage that can issue your DMV liscence and on the same day, call ahead or not, fast help / service. 2. You can use one of their vehicles for the test, yes there are fees, but worth it depending on your circumstances. 3. Decent staff that know their job, seem to care and want you to obtain your liscence by being a safe drive.

Horrible services, this is my 3rd time going there and they didn’t pass my test for simple reason, they didn’t let me drive for even 3 minutes and they always tell me to come back next Saturday they only didn’t pass me so I can pay next time.

I had an outstanding experience at Anch Driver Training!! I recently was in Fairbanks & was forced to parallel park. I try to avoid it due to confidence, but there was no where else to park! I was in a place id never been & was really nervous! I just remembered everything my instructor had told me & it whent smooth like butter!! Thank you so much for all the training. They also offer a skids cource that will help in this beautiful winter driving! If you dont know how to drive at all, just need pointers, or need to teach your child how to drive, Anchorage Driver Training is the place to go!! Thank you so much :)

in order to Take this Class there's a $100 Deposit for the class & then $560 for the rest of the payment. Once you get the reservation(which fills up FAST) it's held on a Sunday from 8-4:30. The Class is VERY informative & gives you A LOT of information to assimilate. Once the Class Part is Finished; your then taken out for 4 days; 3 days of Drivers Training (the 4th being the Actual Drivers Test). It's WAY!!!! More intuitive then just taking some DMV Test. You have different times in which to take these drivers Training and it's about 2hrs a Day. You have a Total of 24 Points that you score against. if you get less then 24 points you Pass. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND This Drivers Course.

This is best way to have your child learn to drive! Every person with whom we worked was friendly, polite, and patient. My daughter had Bill for her instructor and he was absolutely wonderful! His calmness, encouragement, and positive attitude left her feeling confident and happy after each lesson. All aspects of the training were worthwhile and helped my daughter understand why drivers need to do certain things to be safe. Her success in completing the course and passing her driver's test with a perfect score were well worth the cost and certainly paid off in reducing the amount we are paying for her insurance. We could not have had a better experience anywhere! Thank you to everyone at Anchorage Driver Training.

My son signed up for driver training mainly to get instruction on parallel parking (because I'm not very good at it) and make sure he had correct driving information to enable him to pass the driver exam. We paid the $40 extra (driving school is $610 so total was $650) to have the driving exam done at the school. The first day is 8 hours of classrom instruction, the instructor my son was assigned made a point of telling the kids in the class that he failed people all the time on the driving exam. I was annoyed by that, failure of a student reflects just as poorly on the instructor for failing to teach correctly. Additionally, it caused additional stress and nervousness at the actual test. For the 8 hours of driving instruction, less than 30 minutes was spent on parallel parking. At the end of the last lesson they tried to do the driver exam, but there was little time and the instructor rushed my son. The instructor said that exam wouldn't count and my son should call to re-schedule the driver exam. I called and scheduled the exam for a week and a half later. When my son got there at the appointed time of the appointed day, they didn't have any record but said they would go ahead. The first thing on the exam is parallel parking which is conducted in their parking lot, it's small and traffic is entering and exiting while the student is trying to park. The instructor said you get 3 minutes and 3 tries, right in the middle of trying to park someone pulled into the parking lot right where the parallel parking test area is. My son waited for the person and started trying to parallel park again when the instructor said "Time's up!" The instructor then said, "you may be better off at DMV, they aren't as strict". I would never use this driver training school again! IT is not worth the money, they do not teach as promised and seem more interested in failing a kid that helping him be successful.
