Deputy Carter is a great and thorough instructor. He made sure my daughter knew the importance and responsibilities she has a driver. He encouraged her, which gave her the confidence she was lacking on things she was unsure about. He was available and able to accommodate my schedule as a parent with a busy schedule. After every drive we went over areas of concern and what needs to be done to correct any errors made.He also gave her the confidence she needed to successfully complete the course and ultimately got her drivers license!! 911 driving schools is a great choice!!
Dads, Listen up. Got a kid whose ready to take the wheel? You made sure they got the best coaches for Football and played on the best teams for Soccer. Well dont miss the mark here and choose the wrong driving coach. Go see Deputy Carter at the GC location. He will prepare your child for the battle zone of life behind the wheel. I am so impressed by what he taught my daughter Grace and what I learned through the process. I had no fear the day she got her license and struck out by herself for the first time after seeing what Deputy Carter taught her. Yes I said Deputy twice. These instructors are off Duty Police. They have seen it all and know how get the best out of our kids. Also make sure you opt in for having them perform the final driving test it saved us so much time dealing with the DMV and we got it done way sooner than we could have otherwise. SO moral to the story get Deputy Carter to train your kid. You will never regret it.
Deputy Carter has now trained two of our daughters and the instruction they received was top-notch. We wished we had used them for our first daughter and we will definitely use them for our son when his time comes. You will not regret a penny you spend with 911 Driving School because you will know that you or your loved one are trained by actual law enforcement officers. Dep. Carter was professional, thorough, and patient with our girls. Only use 911 if you are looking for the best driving school in the Low Country.
Deputy Carter was an excellent driving instructor! I used a different company on James Island for my older son and this experience was 100% better overall. I feel confident knowing my child was trained by Deputy Carter - he was encouraging, knowledgable, professional and professional. I highly recommend Deputy Carter and 911 Driving School!
Highly recommend Deputy Carter for beginners learning to drive. I feel so confident they my Son was taught all proper skills during this course to safely be on the road without me in the car. In fact, I wished my older Son would have gone through this course instead of the one he took in another part of the state. Deputy Carter is very informative for parents of new drivers.

I enrolled in school back in January and I just finished up today. I could’ve finished sooner but due to my work schedule I had to finish at a later date. And thanks to knights they were able to accommodate my schedule that was best suited for me. I’m now a better driver because of Knights and my confidence has went up tremendously.
This school has some of the best instructors that you would ever run into: Mr. Ryan, Mrs. Tiffany, Mr. C. I do want to say thanks to all of them for the opportunity, encouraging words, and the follow-up. If you come in and do the work and show the effort, you will get the opportunity to make your life better and to have a career that wouldn’t go anywhere. My experience at Knights Drivers Academy was very amazing.. I have learn and gain so much knowledge at this school. The instructors really taught me a lot about the roads leading to my cdl. They are very patient and understanding.. On my journey to getting my cdl I have fail a couple of times and not one time did they give up on me they push me to be a more cautious and careful on the road. I never drove a stick shift in my life now I can operate a manual tractor trailer .. And for that I want to give a big thanks to Ryan and all the instructors at the school I really appreciate you all.
I truly love my experience with knights school, I was an unlicensed 21 year old scared driver and I came out of this as a licensed confident driver. Miss Nikki was a patient instructor and gave me clear directions on what was going to be on the test, I felt more prepared than any test I’ve ever taken. Best decision I made , other class were too busy and had bad reviews . Knights driver academy was very family oriented, understanding of a busy life schedule and very thorough when it came to explaining anything along the way . I would recommend every single person that’s looking for there CDL or regular driving licenses to give them a chance and obtain the same testimony as me

We had a fantastic experience with Learn To Drive. You book one lesson at a time but can very easily grab a cancellation spot (if you click the waitlists) to move drives sooner. My daughter loved her teacher, Lisa. Thank you all!
The 'Best' driving school—not just one of the best, but truly the 'Best.' The owner went above and beyond to fit my wife’s lessons and test into their already full calendar. The instructor was incredibly kind and patient, making the learning process smooth and easy. Even the driving test felt so comfortable and stress-free. I highly recommend them!
I do NOT recommend Learn To Drive Academy driving school. Please use EXTREME caution if you chose to use this driving school. This school is not interested in teaching and helping the student "Learn To Drive". -The instructors do not offer any guidance or instruction and are simply a passenger in the car while the student is driving them around. -It is nearly impossible to schedule an appointment. Do not believe the "we come to you" model. They do not have instructor lesson availability and plan on this taking 6 months. -Each lesson provided was NOT the full 2 hours, one was even cut a full HOUR short. I am terribly disappointed in how this experience was so awful. When I was searching for a driving school, "Learn To Drive Academy" had positive reviews, sadly, the more I have looked into how we have been treated, I have seen similar reviews.
Bob and his team are wonderful. He’s very responsive and polite. We had no problem scheduling driving lessons for our daughters. The driving instructor was accommodating, kind and patient. I would highly recommend them 💯.

100% recommend! Signed my daughter up for the class and the 6hrs, and we couldn't be happier with how it went. She can tend to get nervous, but was able to relax and just drive. Ibraham made everything smooth and was understanding with helping her learn what she needed. He offers the class, the driving lessons, and the road test. Very easy, and he feels like he truly cares and isn't just looking to get the time over with and get paid. Have already recommended to a neighbor, and I'm sure they won't be the last. A+

Great driving school. Had my teen daughter do her driving class and test. The great thing about driving practice sessions is that they come to your house, pick up your teen, do the session and bring them back home. Instructors are all great and professional, Abraham did a great job!!
We took my son to EZ Driving School and it was a really good experience for him and also for us, since Ibraham help us a lot understanding the process at the DMV, and also guiding us on the documents that we needed as internationals. He is very nice and is always happy to help.

Honestly had a great experience with Roadmasters. Really enjoyed my time there and the instructors here really take their time with you and are super patient! Special shout out to Ms Kelly, Sam, Grump, John, & most Importantly Mr Brooks!!! These guys know their stuff and won’t lead you wrong, Mr Tony was very professional and respectful & handled everything perfectly! 10/10 definitely recommend!
PTI worried me the most because the amount of information in just a short amount of time. I was on the verge of giving up, thinking it was just too much to remember, but Sam got me right and it all just clicked for me. Then ended up moving on to the pad early because of him. I already drive for the military, so the pad was a breeze, all the instructors had really good motivation and they helped everyone in need.
I gotta give a huge shoutout to everyone at roadmasters! From day one, they have given their all to ensure that we have everything down to a T. They’ve also kept us engaged by passing the time with running back to back practices to keep our brains engaged with the program. I appreciate everything everyone has done for us and I definitely recommend this school to everyone that is interested in getting their cdl

I took my third-party road test and I was worried about the instructions because I’m still learning English, but my examiner, Micah, was super kind and explained everything calmly. After a few minutes, my nerves went away and I passed my test on the first try!

Advantage Driving LLC is a very great service and I am very much glad that I scheduled for the class and 6 hour driving courses. My overall experience with Advantage Driving was amazing and my teacher, Alexander, was very friendly and overall helpful for preparing me for my driving test. Micah was my driving test instructor and I can say confidently that I passed and will now be getting my license. Thank you to everyone at Advantage Driving, you were all great and I would 100% recommend to anyone, whether you're a teen or adult driver, to come and take the class and course.
All three of our children completed their driver's training with Advantage. As a result, we have three very skilled drivers. Learn to Drive Academy in Mount Pleasant has been amazing with ly sons Adrian&Aurelian. They were on time, everytime, and they taught them all the safety rules as well as the reflexes needed to become safe and responsible drivers. Without Learn To Drive Academy’s patience and professionalism, I would never have been able to practice with my sons with confidence. My daughter loved her trainers. Her last trainer, Amanda, my daughter felt was more informative during their session. Lisa was good also, but her 2nd evaluation; my daughter indicated that she never said anything negative about her driving during the session but put it in her end session report later that day. Providing different perspectives of session is not good. But we never knew the scheduling driving time would be so difficult. Waiting an over a month between sessions. By the time my daughter gets her DL she’s be ready for college. They should be able to sign up for all 3 sessions at one time- either 2/3 wks apart. Ridiculous

I wanted to share our experience with Behind the Wheel for my daughter’s driving lessons. They were fantastic! My daughter was paired with instructors who were not only skilled but also incredibly patient and encouraging. They created a comfortable learning environment, which really helped boost her confidence. The instructors took the time to explain everything clearly, from the basics of car control to the rules of the road. I could tell a big difference when I drove with her after her first lesson. The school offered flexible scheduling, which was a huge plus for us and they picked her up at our house. She passed the driving test on the first attempt and she was able to take the test with her instructor. This made the process so much simpler. I can't thank them enough for their professionalism and dedication. I highly recommend this driving school to any parent looking for a supportive and effective learning experience for their teen.

Behind the Wheel was a really good driving school for my son and us. The class portion was online which made it easy to attend. When we needed to move classes they were responsive and accommodating. The driving lessons were educational and the instructors had great attitudes and professionalism. My son was very comfortable with the instruction and pace of the lessons. The instructors offered a couple of different pick up locations in the west Ashley area which made it easier to get our son there on time. And the communication was very good before and after the driving lessons. Highly recommend.

James Island Driving School is great! I am German and was living in the US partly to get my license easier. Penny is nice and clear on the instructions and communicates, what is important to know. She is patient, yet puts enough pressure for improvement. I was really happy with the lessons and the driving test. They are also super helpful if you got any questions and answer the emails ASAP. Mike is calm, patient and thorough. My daughter went to a different driving school on James Island and had a bad experience. They were impatient and didn't teach her the maneuvers she needed to pass the test. Mike did an excellent job and she passed her test with very few points lost.
My daughter took Mike's driving course, then she had several lessons with Mike. Mike coached my daughter before her driving test and she easily passed. Mike was very accommodating, and we were pleased with how well he prepared our daughter for her test.
Mike is absolutely incredible! An expert instructor and extremely caring person. He is hands-on and gives his undivided attention to his students. Best driving instructor in the entire Charleston region. He went out of his way to help my son and we appreciate his expertise!
I literally just followed this car down 526 while it went 10 miles under the speed limit Ward left and right off of the interstate and into oncoming traffic consistently all the way down 526. I cut off at least three vehicles that I saw in the driver who was in the car by themselves no guest no passengers so I’m guessing it’s Mike himself held a phone up that I could see through the back window of his car and was turning his head to talk to it as he was swerving all over the interstate, I would not trust myself to train with this person. If my life depended on it, I would not trust my children to train with this person if my life depended on it clearly does not have a professional bone in his body when it comes to operating a vehicle and I can’t say for the life of me while he’s in this industry, but he’s clearly putting lives of himself and others at risk and that is not what I want talk to myself my spouse, my children or my other loved ones. This person should be ashamed of themselves the fact that this is their profession and they go out and disgrace themselves in this way.

This is the best driving school. Almost everybody recommends this school. Ms. Emily is a sweet and loving women and she make you comfortable. She is patient and respectful and is very reliable. Before choosing any school, choose this school and results will pay off✨
I’m so glad we chose Emily Driving School.. They were upfront with us from start to finish. They came when they said they were coming, and they were very patient with my son. He passed his test on the first try, and Mrs. Sumter went over and beyond for us 😉.. Thank You all again, and I look forward to signing my twins up next year..
Robert was a fantastic instructor, he made me feel very calm and relaxed while driving and was very personable. He prepared me for the test, listened to the questions I had and tailored the lessons to my needs. Emily was very friendly during the test which put me at ease, and I passed on my first attempt! Would definitely recommend to a friend.
Emily is a great instructor! I had 6 hours of driving lessons, she has always showed up on time, always very patient and explained literally everything I needed to know for the exam. I passed my exam the very first time and I was confident taking it because Emily really made sure that I gain my confidence behind the wheel and that I'm comfortable on the road. Emily has also taught me how to drive on the highway. I've always been very nervous about driving on the highway but with Emily's assurance and guidance I started to feel more comfortable driving on the highway. Thank you, Emily!!

Do not take your children to this school unless you are prepared for them to see videos of motor vehicle accidents in detail. I attended this school in January of this year. I was appalled to have to watch several car crashes such as two men being thrown out of a car and falling onto the ground. I went to the instructor and she seemed to think it was laughable that I did not want to view such content. I asked to stand outside until the portion was over and was told the best she could let me do was stand in the corner and stare at the wall. Her attitude towards it was nowhere near understanding. She scoffed and showed apparent annoyance from my concern. I was convinced that this content was normal and should have been expected as it was "safety training". I did not realize till much later that this was extremely inappropriate and could potentially traumatize a lot of the students. I had to spend the remainder of that class portion with my eyes closed but still hearing screams. Furthermore, she commonly spoke ill of her other students and vented during driving practice. The class portion is also not instructor led at all, students have to watch videos for hours straight. When beginning the class she showed a pretty demeaning behavior. As she told us not to complain about having to watch videos for so long straight because she knows we do that on our phones. It was clear she viewed us as no more than bratty teens before even talking to us. Overall, very unprofessional. The location I went to was on Edmund Hwy. Edmund Community Center. The girl who was my instructor was Cheryl Metts. I hope that they remove the violent content from their course.
Don't drive over to this school expecting to go in and speak with someone about the driving program after driving up a steep driveway and getting out, only to be met with a sign stating that the office is closed Monday-Friday. I went over to the school after calling over the phone, only to keep getting the voicemail. So I called the number I had been calling before driving over, and lo and behold, someone answered. She informed me that they are so busy that they don't have anyone in the office. This review is just information for others, so they don't waste time or gas driving to the office. Hopefully, when you call, someone will answer prior to you driving out to the school. Due to me wasting my time, I decided to choose another driving school that is open during business hours. Also, before that, I didn't see anywhere on the website where you can register and pay. Grateful that I found another school that was open and explained the driving program.
This was the worst experience we have ever had. The instructor arrived 40 mins late. Once the class started things went fine. During the test the "instructor" told my daughter to turn left. She yelled at my child repeatedly. She did what she was told and failed because of it. I would NOT recommend this facility to anyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I took my driving lessons and test here. The people are amazing and they taught me a lot even when I thought I knew most. Great people and great service. My instructor was Mitch and he was just a great guy he is really passionate about teaching and helped me pass the test. It’s honestly worth it!
I wish I had read some of the negative comments on reviews before I signed up with this company this year. My oldest son learned to drive with Baldwin 4 years ago and they were great at the time. Unfortunately, they are no longer a company with any customer service. First of all they do not "teach" driving skills. Thier "lessons" consist of evaluating and berating your child for everything they do wrong and not offering any coaching or instruction. The first instructor asked my son if he was drunk and told him he needed to take ADHD medication. I asked for a new instructor who gave him 2 "lessons" and then failed him on driving test. I understand if he is not ready but told me she thought he was ready but made a mistake and he could take the test again in 3 days. When I called to schedule the test again the incredibly rude woman who answered the phone said his instructor had written something completely different in his file. The communication with this company has been terrible from the start. It is very sad that such a great company has gone downhill.

My son is a new driver and student as most of the students are. Candice the receptionist is very rude and should not be the first person you see leaving your kid with. I asked her, when should I return to pick up my son. She responded it was on the website, granted that is true but you are here for answers and concerns. She continued to be rude and dismissive. I witnessed her be snappy with simple questions.
When scheduling regular drives differently go with Louis Migliorino, he is absolutely amazing. I felt extremely comfortable and confident. He definitely made my experience at 911 a 10/10. I will say some of the staff can be a little rude and nonchalant.
Great place if you're looking to get some points off your record! The owner was very nice and cordial, and taught me a few things that I didn't know were written in the law books! Definitely recommend!
The lady at the front desk on Sundays is unprofessional. She called to tell us to come early but then cancelled the drive after we arrived and the time started. I spent 21 years in the Army, I understand PMCS and customer service. A place of business should check their own equipment before they open and not rely on customers to do it. I spent 45 minutes out of my day driving to get there early and then having to drive all the way back for nothing. She relied on my teenager to tell me instead of calling herself. She also said they were trying to get done early. The drivers are always nice.
Great and knowledgeable instructors! My sons loved the instructors. But, try bypassing the front desk the woman treats everyone like trash kids and parents alike.
