I would definitely recommend this place any day! They are without a doubt the best. The people is awesome and they are super friendly. I had the pleasure of working with an amazing instructor that helped me feel confident in driving and lesson my anxiety about driving. I give a huge shout out to Amber! If it wasn’t for you I would’ve never been able to make my license. So thank you and your team for helping people like me succeed.
Central KY Driving School is fantastic! From day one of inquiring about driving lessons for our child, Karen was kind and incredibly helpful. She walked us through the whole process and provided great info about all of the steps our child needed to take to get their full license. The waiting period for lessons was shorter than we expected and Karen communicated by text at every turn. Their online portal is also very helpful. Heidi was the driving instructor and she was a joy to work with. She is patient, thorough and kind. She provided useful info after each lesson and has an encouraging and positive spirit. And our child passed the test the first time with flying colors. Sending your kid out on the road can be a stressful experience and Central KY Driving School made the whole process better than we could have imagined.
I’m very grateful for my experience with Central KY Driving School! I used to have a lot of anxiety when it came to driving and put off learning to drive for a long time, but Heidi and Dean taught me everything I needed to know to be a safe and confident driver. I was also able to pass the road test on my first try thanks to their help. I would recommend driving school to everyone!
Karen and the team are kind, personable, knowledgeable, and professional. My kids learned some good pointers to prepare for a lifetime of safe driving AND the intermediate driving test. Easy to work with, pleasant to use-highly recommend!
We love Central Ky driving School. Professional. Scheduling and rescheduling was immediate and accommdating. Committed to my son's success. We talked about what I wanted to cover...done. No hesitation. Kind. Quick with their responses. He passed the driver's test the first time. Thank you CKY driving school, especially Kendra.

I cannot recommend this driving school enough! I am an adult learner who was struggling with driving anxiety. In 6 lessons, APEX Driving took me from an anxious driver to one that felt confident and competent on the road, and helped me get my license. All of the staff here were wonderful to work with. Professional, kind, compassionate, and fantastic communicators. If you are an adult learner, I 100% recommend APEX Driving School. I also recommend this service to parents who want to ensure their children learn how to be safe drivers. Thank you APEX Driving School!
Apex is amazing!! We had wonderful instructors (Shana, Jim and Nate) who were professional and knowledgeable. I can't recommend them more! My 16 year old is more confident in her driving as a result of her lessons. It was incredibly helpful to have their guidance through this process (for me and my daughter).
Jim and Nate, my teachers at Apex, were, honestly, the coolest ones! I was nervous about driving when I first started, but seeing them remain calm while I was behind the wheel helped me build up my confidence. After completing my classes, I was able to take my driver’s test with full confidence and pass it on my first try! Although I may have lost two points because I completely forgot to turn my wheel downhill or back up more on the turnabout, other than that, the lessons really helped me a lot. Now, I can drive wherever and whenever I want :)
Jim is a very kind and enthusiastic person who guides people throughout the driving process. He taught me many tips and pointers! I definitely feel a lot more comfortable with driving.
My son was very hesitant to drive so we decided driving lessons would be best! We scheduled 6 hours of BTW with Mr. Jim. Every lesson my son came out feeling a little less nervous. By the end he had so much confidence. Thanks to Mr. Jim my son passed his drivers test the first time! We would definitely recommend Apex driving school! Thank you again Mr. Jim

Great people to work with and went through the course with ease! I got my one and done on a Thursday and started my new trucking job on and Monday! These people love there jobs and love to see there students excel thanks again guys!
The instructors at 160 are top notch and truly want you to not only get your CDL but they want you to be successful. I learned so much and was a One and Done graduate. David is amazing and all of the instructors are awesome. If you are looking to get your class A CDL I highly recommend this academy
Even with a few issues during my class time (instructors and students out with covid, bad weather, personal accidents), the instructors were still on point everyday with teachings. Do not go here and expect to just skate by. They will hold you accountable, to your punctuality, the coursework, and skills. Billy, Adrian, Cheryl, Leslie, AJ, Roger, And Greg were all top notch. Kept a decent sense of humor, and the best in their field. You won't regret going here.
That is going to be your second family! You're gonna visit them for Christmas, Thanksgiving and each other's holiday because how good they are and how they treat you. Just one love spent time and studying with you guys. Cheryl, Buck, Mark, David, Mitchel and the rest of the team are always in my heart!
One and Done What a great experience it was to work with everyone at 160 DA in Lex ,definitely is something ill look back on and be proud of, the instructors were amazing and worked with me at a paste making sure I knew what I was talking about ,they made it an enjoyable experience thru my whole time at 160!! I just showed up ,learned and listened and it was the best decision I made for myself 10/10 A big thank you to everyone!!

I had my drivers test today and driving class with Cherish she was a blessing in disguise. It took me 4 times to pass my test and on the 4th try i passed today. She is a fantastic instructor on how to do the course and is very friendly. I would 100% recommend her to anyone.
Really good driving school. Driving came hard for me. Addison was my instructor he was very patient with me. With months of practice i finally got my license. Thank you Addison.
If cherish the instructor is available.. PICK HER. The best instructor you can ask for helps you with things you need help with. touches up on things you previously knew just the best all around walking study guide and driving teacher you could ask for. Very calm and patient with you and also very fun to be around to help out with nerves. Thank you cherish for all you did for me- your student, Corrion M
Today I had cherish as an instructor and she made me feel very comfortable and had a great personality. If I was able to I would have requested her for all lessons. Such a wonderful person.
Cherish was an absolute pleasure to have helping to teaching my son to drive. She was knowledgeable, encouraging and very supportive. Excellent instructor.

It was great, if you’re looking for a school choose this one, it’s like a family/brother or sisterhood. Everyone helps each other out. My instructor Ben is hands down the best teacher I’ve ever had in my life. Don’t wait, do better for yourself, go now!
I learned alot at 160 Driving Academy. The instructors are very helpful and taught me how to straight back, off set back, and parallel park like a pro. I would highly recommend them for anyone wanting a position as a professional truck driver!
I attended and graduated from this school. My instructor was Steve Byce. He gave me all the information I needed and then some. Very knowledgeable and helpful. Not only did it help me pass my driving test but also gave me plenty of tips for my future career in trucking. If you go to this school and give your best effort you’ll pass with flying colors.
Got my cdl with this school good teachers but took way to long you dont need 160 hours to get a cdl you can go to another school and get it in a week I don’t recommend
Very good instructors and a nice place to learn. I want to give a special thanks to my instructor NITA, she was very supportive in all the process of getting my CDL. Very diverse and respectful group of instructors. The best thing about this school is when you fail a test all the instructors comes to you and help you to believe in your self again. Thanks

I took the MSF here and the instructors seemed like very nice people and they wanted me to succeed. They also had great insight and taught me a lot. However, I would NOT recommend this class for an absolute beginner. I'd never sat on a bike, seen a bike up close, nothing, and they pushed me way faster than I was comfortable with to the point I was seriously worried I might get hurt. Everything was just extremely fast paced and I barely had a second to breathe and calm down. I ended up not going to the second day of the course because I was so scared of getting pushed even further than I was comfortable with - they built skills on top of skills so quickly before I felt I even had a good basic understanding of the bike. If you've been on a bike and had some experience riding around in an empty lot or something, or if a friend will let you borrow their bike and practice before this course, go right ahead! But definitely do not recommend for absolute beginners. I'm going to practice at my own pace before ever attempting this course again. All in all, I still learned a lot and I'm glad I tried, but I definitely recommend having SOME experience first.
I should've been training with them all along. I bought the combo package that included the two classroom sessions and three behind-the-wheel courses. It made sense and my trainer critiqued me and turned the pressure up so that I could learn how to be a safe and attentive driver. It was a shame at how I was so anxious to take my license exam, because it turns out I had been well prepared. I achieved my license in my first attempt and now I'm a licensed driver. I think what I appreciate most about this school is how they schedule you for your road test and prep you before you take it. I'd probably never get my license if that were the case. Thank you so much, KDS! It was well worth the investment.
When the instructor arrived, I went out to meet him before my child came to the car. I confirmed the times he he told me,” hopefully sooner” I asked why would he be coming back in less than the 2 hours I paid for? He told me he had some where to be before the session was up! I asked could they make the time up? He then said well we can’t start now (10 min) before session so he could get to HIS appointment When he brought my child back. They did not want to use him anymore! When I asked for another driver, they tired to push my child’s next session a month back! I explained what happened and they did not care! They overcharged me and the instructor rushed my child’s session! IF YOU WANT YOUR MONEY’S WORTH LOOK AROUND TO OTHER PLACES!
My discussion with the driving instructor in our parking lot today as he's setting up cones: Me: And what are we doing? Him: We can't parallel park out here? Me: In a civilized society, we usually ask permission before we use other people's stuff. Him: I would have asked but I didn't think anyone was here. Me - pointed to my car sitting in the parking lot. Him: Oh. And now he's off with his student doing some road driving while his orange cones are still sitting in our parking lot.
Tom was my daughters instructor. He prepared her for the drivers test in two sessions. Tom took her to the training course both times and went over all the different areas and requirements to prepare her for the (nerve-racking) test. She said he was very patient, courteous and gave her the confidence to take the course test... and to pass on the first try! Highly recommend Tom!
