⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I was running out of time to find a car and instructor with only 2 days left before my road test. Thankfully, I found Avanti Auto School and spoke with Jazmyn, who arranged everything quickly and professionally. Their communication was excellent from the start. On the day of my road test, Antonio gave me a warm-up lesson before the exam, something I didn’t expect but truly appreciated. That warm-up made a huge difference and was one of the main reasons I passed my test. I’m very grateful to Jasmyn and Antonio for their help, kindness, and professionalism. I highly recommend this institute, especially if you feel nervous about driving. All the instructors (Antonio and Justin) are patient, and their techniques are very effective in developing safe drivers. I obtained my license in under two months with their help, and more importantly, I am now a much more confident driver. They were always very flexible with scheduling to accommodate my needs at the front desk as well. I also recommend having them as your sponsor for the license exam.
It's a really good time to practice with coach Anthony and I give my full recommendation to him and Avanti auto school. I started the class at mid of June and I passed my road test one month later, including around 2 weeks waiting for the road test. Thought I have a driving license in my home country, I haven't touched a steering wheel for over 8 years and I almost forgot how to drive. During the 6 classes with Anthony's patiently teaching, I overcome my nervous of driving on road and relearned all the driving skills and the on road rules of driving in US. Avanti is a perfect choice for the beginner to learn the driving skills and get a driver license.

In a relatively short time, my very anxious Son went from scared to drive at all to being confident and knowledgeable. His Instructor, Smaillen, was patient and comforting. He passed his license exam on the first try and it only took 6 weeks for him to learn so much! The best driving school around. We had tried a few others and he was not successful. Soy conductor con experiencia de más de diez años, (licencia obtenida en Europa) y pensaba que podía aprobar el “road test” con mi experiencia. Nunca más lejos de la realidad. I’m very disappointed with this school. They don’t allow any refund or rescheduling even in emergency situations — I caught a cold and reached out right away, but they still refused to accommodate or show understanding. The communication felt cold and unhelpful, and the instructor’s attitude was quite unpleasant. I wouldn’t recommend this school if you expect professionalism or basic flexibility when unexpected things happen.

I just got my drivers license today at 48 years old. The JMC auto school was a pleasure to work with. They are honest and patient. They took the time necessary to make sure I was able to pass my road test today. I highly recommend them to anyone younger or older who is going for their drivers license.

Just passed my road test today after 3 class with Elias and Jose as the instructor. You guys are amazing. You give a clear and useful tips for passing the road test and most importantly, to be a good driver. Erica the front desk / administrator / manager also was very nice to me, even though we never met in person. They usually use a sedan and a very nice one. She answered every time I called. There was a little bit problem, but Erica and Jose fix it up immediately. Would totally recommend this driving school to anyone!
I would reccomend this driving school to everyone Ive always put off getting my license due to expensive classes and not enough wiggle room with times after work and on the weekends. This driving school understood and adjusted according to what I could do. They always had clear communication. I had Elias, Jose, and Luisa all great teachers always reaffirming to have my confidence. I passed my driving test on my first try!!!

I've had 5 classes with them and passed the road test. They're very patient, calm, and know what you need to keep working on to be able to pass the test. I felt very confident in knowing everything that I needed to know when I was taking the test. I have always felt comfortable when learning with them and the instructors I have had have very good English, easy to understand. I would definitely recommend them, especially for the price.
上课：一个年纪比较大的周教练给我上的课。感觉还不错，会教一些有用的tricks。 考试：去考试给我用的车方向盘很奇怪，无法一次性向左右打满。三点掉头和平行泊车的时候都是，我想打满方向盘倒车，但是发现打不满，我就硬着头皮开始倒，结果倒到一半车开始抢方向盘，忽然很大力气地自动给我打满了，倒了一点又开始自动抢着回正。平时平行泊车我从来没有停不进去过，结果这次考试就没停进去。他们给我上课时用的车就很正常，完全不这样。 PS：同行的人有考过的，我没有考过并不完全怪方向盘，但它的方向盘绝对有问题。

I took lessons from this auto school, and it was worth every cent I spent. The instructors are nice unless you are actively trying to drive into incoming traffic, very good at teaching, and very clear with what they want you to know. Henry’s Auto School was a great experience, for learning AND driving! The virtual classes were great. Katie, the instructor, did really well relaying all the necessary information and adding in her own stories to make sure the class was fun as it was informative. As I went to the drivers lessons, I had an great experience. My instructor, Dan, was funny and made some great jokes. He was serious when needed to be and was able to teach everything that was necessary and a little more. He helped me learn as much as I could before the road test which I was able to pass! Overall, this was a great choice for an auto school.
I highly recommend this school for anybody in the state. I had Dan as my driving instructor. Dan has not only helped me prepare for the road test but has also helped me to become a better driver. Nevertheless, Maureen has helped me learn the rules of the road better and how to operate a vehicle in a safe way. Especially in this pandemic, Maureen has been able to answer all of my questions and concerns and has been able to schedule driving lessons and the road test as soon as she can. I had an great experience with Henry's Auto School! I already miss it.I want to thank Dan, my driving instructor, who is an amazing teacher. He helped me become confident in my driving and just helped me become an overall better driver. I also like that he had standards for everybody and truly wanted every student to pass the road test. He's also a very funny guy!
From doing the zoom classes with Kate, talking to Maureen, and having Dan as my instructor everything was great. They made me feel appreciated and got me through everything and they are the key reasons why I got my license first try. Highly recommend Henry’s auto school. A lot of information is learned during their drivers ed course. The teacher I had, Maureen, really had a sense of making the class interesting and fun to be a part of. I had Dan as a driving instructor and I couldn’t have asked for anybody better alongside me teaching me how to drive. He makes you feel comfortable behind the wheel, and helps you in every faucet imaginable. Dan made sure you were ready for the road test and had no doubts about yourself. I got my license today!!!!!! Jay was my instructor and we shared the same goal which was for me to pass and get rid of my fear of driving.I came from ZERO driving experience and major anxiety on the road, due to Jay’s calm and patient demeanor I was able to pass my road test. The driving lessons weren’t awkward or uncomfortable, Jay was very informative, funny, and had no problem with telling me when I was wrong and helping me correct my mistakes. This driving school offers convenient times as well, I was able to take my lessons after work which most places do not offer since I get off at 5. The only practice I had with driving was through my lessons at ADP. I’m so grateful for the wonderful experience I had. Thank you so much Jay!!!
My experience with ADP Auto School was by far the best experience than when I attended another driving school. My instructor Jay was extremely kind and patient with me during all of my 6 lessons- being that I only had a limited knowledge of how to actually drive. I have never had a problem with scheduling or being picked up from my home to start my class. I loved it here and being here in this positive environment where I was able to grow, lead to the result of me passing my road test on the first try. Thank you Jay, Thank you ADP. Took 4 hours on road lessons with Shawn, really enjoyed the experience. Compared to the other driving schools, ADP instructors are more patient and easy to work with. I felt like I was getting better at driving with every lesson. I passed my road exam on the first attempt.
October 2020-this is the very best driving school I have encountered. Its the cheapest with great instructors ,who do a great job ,very patient and encouraging. Their initiative is to make you overcome your fears and pass your test, not about money . December 20- today I passed my driving test on my first try ,thank you ADP for your help and endless support in getting my license, with their guidance and patience.ADP taught me the skills to become a safe driver giving me the confidence to drive and overcome my nervousness. My daughter had a great time learning, and her instructor was amazing. Andy even helped her right before her road test, which really showed how much they care about what they do it’s not just about the business or the money, but their passion for helping students succeed.
If you’re looking for a reliable driving school, I strongly recommend AVOIDING Safety Auto School. While the instructors themselves were okay, the management is incredibly rude, disrespectful, and completely unprofessional. They do not treat students with basic respect, and their lack of responsibility is alarming. My road test was rejected due to some issue, and they offered no support, no follow-up, and absolutely no accountability. They also refused to refund or help resolve the situation with the RMV. Once they have your money, you’re on your own. This was a frustrating and disappointing experience. Don’t waste your time or money here.

I highly recommend Manna driving school to any new drivers. Jean was the best instructor. He is definitely knowledgeable on what he is doing and does his absolute best to help you as much as he can. When I started driving I was nervous and scared however, Jean was patient and made me feel relaxed. He encouraged me to do my best and knew how to boost my confidence. James is the best driving instructor within this school, he is very patient and super nice. Very understanding and tells you great tips to make you a overall better driver. Instructions really help me past my test they had a variety of teaching styles that really helped me be prepared for this test
I took a lesson last year with KJS and was very excited to work with a Black Owned driving school. I arrived on time and was asked to wait. Once I got into the car and we started the lesson, it wasn’t long before my instructor picked up his phone and had a loud conversation while I was driving. I had to repeatedly ask what he wanted me to do next as he wasn’t fully engaged in the lesson and the phone calls occurred 2-3 times throughout the lesson. During the end of my lesson, I took too wide of a turn (while no one else was on the road) and instead of verbally correcting me, he grabbed the wheel and raised his voice. I called the following day to leave a comment and the secretary (an older woman) laughed as I requested to speak to someone in charge to discuss how my lesson went because the person I called to speak about was the man who ran the school. This was my personal experience and I see that there have been many mixed reviews. I hope they begin to take the feedback/ complaints they receive seriously.
While being at KJS I was able to learn more about the road and feel confident to pass the test. I am 16 and I was able to pass the test my first try. The instructors are very nice and treat you as if you are family, every time I walk in I am greeted and feel happy.I want to give a special shout out to my first instructor Mr. Santil for always telling jokes and bringing life to the class.

I had a horrible experience with my lesson with Herve. At every single stop sign Herve would use his break while I was already breaking. When practicing parallel parking, Herve used his break once again while i was reversing. Not once did he use it in an actual emergency. Instead of instructing, it felt like he was co-piloting. This not only made it difficult to drive the car, but also unsafe when he was breaking every few minutes. All of my other instructors have been great, but not Herve. I would appreciate if CMSC had a word with him.
I went from never having driven a motorcycle to fairly proficient in riding in just two days. Mike was an excellent instructor, and thanks to the class size, I essentially had one on one teaching with him. Would recommend to anyone!
Unfortunately, I had a very bad experience with CMSC Driving School. While the instructors themselves were generally good, I ended up with a few different instructors who taught the same thing in completely different ways, which was very confusing. The scheduling was extremely poor — it took me months just to complete a few lessons. When it came to the road test, they required weeks of notice to provide a sponsor. On the actual day of my test, the sponsor showed up an hour late and was not friendly at all. I never received an apology from him or from the CMSC staff. It honestly felt like they don’t care about their students’ experience and are only there for the money. Needless to say, I failed my road test. Afterward, I went with a competitor and had a far more positive experience, which resulted in me passing my test and getting my license on the first try with them. Don’t waste your time and money with CMSC. Apparently, the company is not what it used to be.
My daughter loves driving school her instructor is Scott he’s amazing and so down to earth he makes the experience fun.❤️🙏🏼 she had a different driver today in auburn her name was Lisa plasse and she was horrible! My daughter left there so upset she wrote 3 pages and failed my daughter for basically any and everything that was on the pages! She didn’t get out and do the steps like other teachers do to check for blind spots or nothing, she sat in the car with my daughter parked for 20 min of her lesson before leaving and just knocked everything my daughter did. She’s rude and she’s definitely in the wrong field for teaching with that attitude! There’s a way to teach right from wrong but to down a minor and make them feel less then is not okay! She’s definitely never booking with that lady again! We love Scott and will be booking all our classes through him. It’s crazy how my daughter is loved my other teachers and they say she drives very very well and then today she just made my diaghter feel like crap!😡

When I started 3 months ago with Victory Driving School, I was a nervous wreck because I had failed previously with a different auto school. Definitely recommend🙌🏻! I had 3 driving classes with Gaston- not only was he super patient he was also very good at teaching and explaining everything that I needed to know. He corrected any errors I made, making me practice my technique until I perfected it! I was super anxious I wasn’t going to pass my exam; he assured me that I would and took a practice lesson around the area a hour prior to the exam which was super helpful. Patience Auto School - Driver’s Education Mr. Panico is one of the best teachers I’ve had in my life. I’ve taken years of college courses with many different professors, and I can confidently say that Mr. Panico will be the main reason why I’ll be able to drive. His lessons are entertaining, interactive, and concise. I took the week-long course (10AM-5PM roughly) and I still was able to retain information for both my midterm and final exams. If you want to get your license or send your child to driver’s education, I would personally recommend Patience Auto School.

I recommend this driving school, I booked 10 lessons and had a great experience, my instructor was Chris and he nailed everything down, he was patient and helped me prep and pass the test with ease. Overall I’ve had a great experience with this school.
I signed up for the 10 lessons package. Took the first few lessons with Christopher and the last three with Kemerlin. Both are amazing instructors and ensured that I felt comfortable and confident during my lessons. They started easy and built on top of what I had learned before with each class. What I appreciate the most is that both of them were always very calm and I never felt under pressure while driving. But at the same time, I always learned a lot during every class.
Had an amazing time learning with Apostle Chiniel Guerrier. He has the art of teaching and is very patient and encouraging. Universe Driving School is definitely the best choice. And did I mention that I ace my road test? 😂😂😂😂☺️☺️ I did , thank you Apostle 🙏🏾

I’m absolutely furious to see that Chris is highly rated as an instructor here. He is completely unprofessional when it comes to both time management and teaching. During the week of my driving test, he was uncommunicative. I had to chase him down about my last few lessons that he missed, and he didn’t bother reaching out to me. Then, when he finally responded, he claimed he hadn’t booked my driving test, even though he had known for weeks that it was supposed to be scheduled for that date. I was beyond angry. When I asked for a reschedule, I STILL had to hound him about it. He was completely unapologetic. Only after I demanded a refund did he suddenly try to schedule a new test date—and even then, I had to chase him down for an answer. He didn’t even attempt to reschedule my final 3 classes or the test unless I contacted him multiple times. This guy is a scam. I’ve requested a refund, and he has yet to return my money. I absolutely do NOT recommend this driving school or Chris to anyone. He is also always on a call during the lesson. He does not prep you for the test. Look elsewhere.

My husband and I had an excellent experience with Winchester Auto School. Being experienced drivers ourselves, we only needed to rent a car with a sponsor. We visited their office two days ago to schedule today's road test appointment. David served as our sponsor, and we couldn't have been more pleased with his assistance. He was not only courteous but also highly professional, helping us become acquainted with the car and the road. David also provided us with invaluable tips to prepare for the road test. Excellent service! I called 24 hrs earlier and scheduled to rent a car for the road test and to use them as sponsor. They told me to get there 45 min early with $140 cash. Joe, a great guy, took me out for a very helpful practice ride and showed me everything expected on the test. Great guys.

I’ve never driven a car prior to taking lessons with JLW, but after taking lessons with Kevin, I was able to pass the road test today! Learning to drive is not easy and the instructors can be tough to make sure you are a competent and safe driver on the road test. I’m thankful that I came across JLW to teach me. I went from not knowing how to drive to knowing the skills needed for the road test within one month. Thank you JLW!
I passed my road test with JLW on my first try! I started learning to drive last year as an adult and I highly recommend JLW. Kaz was my instructor - he’s very patient, knowledgeable and has a way of communicating that really worked for me as an anxious driver who had a lot to learn. I have nothing bad to say, if you’re in the area and looking for driving lessons, you can’t do better than JLW.
This driving school is the worst driving school ever. I took driving lessons with Jennifer from November to January. At the tune of $50 for 45 minutes. I had failed my drivers test three times with this school because they falsely advised me and said that I was ready when I wasn’t. Jennifer was also yelling at me while teaching me and is not a very good teacher. The school was just after my money they weren’t willing to take the time to show me and be honest and tell me that I wasn’t ready that I needed more driving lessons before I took my first test. It cost me $150 for each test. Which equals $450 total and over $1000 total with the driving lesson since November of 2024 I spent with the school and I still have not obtained my drivers license. I also owe the RMV $155 because of this driving school. I am in the process of looking for another driving school, that will be honest and tell me when they think I am definitely going to pass my driving test. This was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had. I would not recommend anyone going to this driving school ever.
We didn’t have a good experience with JLW. My mom, a driver for 30+ years, just came to the US and wanted to get her drivers license. I asked for training sessions and like many others here they rushed mom to take the test and she failed. It’s significantly more money with less time ($150 for 10 minutes test vs. $50 for 45 minutes training sessions.) Before the exam day I asked the teacher to take mom to the test area (something every student does for RMV road test) and teacher said it’s inside a building which is closed to public. It was not honest because the exam was in the street and she just didn’t want to take mom to the testing area. Then after mom failed the first attempt the teacher texted me a few times to reschedule her 2nd exam. She didn’t want to bother with helping mom overcome her problems but wanted the sweet $150 per 10 minutes in perpetuity. I didn’t like the dishonesty and lack of empathy she had for her students. She prefers you keep taking the test ($150 for 10 minutes) rather than training sessions ($50 for 45 minutes.)
I had a very straightforward and informative driving experience with Jennifer. Her lessons were very detail oriented, and she is a patient instructor. Personally, I feel like her lessons helped me become a more aware and cautious driver. I even passed my exam on my first try! I highly recommend booking driving lessons with this company. Getting your driver license is something very important, however learning how to drive and get ready for the road test is a whole new experience that stays with us for ever. Having my driving lessons with Joseph Shink has been the best that could happened to me during this journey. He is very professional, very focus on teaching you everything you need and the most important, he is a teacher with a lot a patience, who will always pay attention to your questions and the skills you need to improve.
I’ve been doing my lessons with Bob and it has been nothing short of amazing! I’ve been able to build up my confidence with his help and support! He’s very informative, makes the experience very comfortable for all and best of all, a comedic! I highly recommend Bob to any future oncoming students!

My daughter was a recent student and had a great experience. Parkway is organized and makes driver's education and licensing headache free. Don’t waste your money and time for the road test with them. I have more than 10 years driving experience and had to renew my international licence, so I took one lesson+ weekend exam package. The instructor was late for a half of the lesson, she was nice though. The examiner was nitpicking all the exam and put down mistakes I haven’t done. Then recommended to take more lessons in the school 🙄 all the people I met while waiting failed their test. I booked road test in RMV and just passed it easy! PS. I’m sure that “you don’t decide who fails” as many times as possible, you just get money for the next tryout) don’t cheat, people are not so dumb as you believe.

The best driving school in Quincy! Best in class customer service and experience. They are excellent with managing the expectations of their student through timely updates about scheduling and requirements- these were done through email and text so there’s no way for you to miss anything. They are able to get RMV schedule that’s realistic given the COVID19 situation. I booked their road test (NQAA car sponsored) + 1 driving hour before the actual road test. In the beginning I thought, I should have just used my own car for the driving hour so I’m used to it more but it actually worked best for me because they have Jeep Renegade and it was easy handling! My driving coach was Jay- he pointed out all my strengths and things to improve on so it was a good coaching experience overall. He focused on points that were useful for me like parallel driving bec I work in Boston (and I will return from not working from home starting January). I will forever remember my key take aways!!! I am an adult driver from the UK. NQAA helped me to pass my US road test after just a couple months of lessons. G Joseph is an amazing instructor, he has a lot of trust in his students. The Jeep Renegades in their fleet are also very learner-friendly. Be aware that you will be driving around Quincy, Dorchester and Mattapan on your lessons, which can be intimidating at first.

I haven't driven for about a decade, and I was very nervous about getting back on the road. Ed has been a really wonderful teacher. He's calm, attentive and gives really good advice. I've found him to be very reassuring and I would highly recommend him if you're looking for an instructor.

Highly recommend!! I had zero experience of driving but after about 10 classes with Ed followed by a week of practice in friend's car, I cleared my road test in first attempt!! Ed was patient with me and always answered my questions properly.

It’s true that Ed’s rates are higher (90 an hour), but you won’t get similar quality teaching anywhere else. Ed is very attentive and never looks at his phone while teaching you. I took lessons with Alexa and Michael. Alexa is a great instructor, very attentive and gave useful tips for the road test. With Michael, I was disappointed. I paid for the 2 hour long class. This is advertised as a one on one intensive class focusing on manuevers for the road test. Instead, Michael had me driving around random parts of town while he was talking on the phone for over an hour and a half. We spent only ~20 minutes of the class doing maneuver practice. For $140 I expected better quality of instruction. Most of the good reviews here talk about Cory but you will need to book 1-2 months out if you want him. They seem understaffed. Their road test package is expensive. I guess they have no incentive to improve their instruction quality because if you fail they'll just make more money 🙃

I highly recommend shammah driving school! Cory is a great instructor. All you need to do is follow his instructions. He is calm and helps to boost the confidence. He spent more time on maneuvers which I wasn’t able to perform earlier. In next couple of sessions, I was able to perform the same maneuvers comfortably. All thanks to Cory! Alexa managed all my sessions and scheduled my road test. I had a seamless experience with her. I had all my driving classes whenever I needed within couple of days (even at short notices).
I had a bad experience with Lucien when I did a lesson and my test in October 2024. He was on his phone the entire lesson trying to book more students, and was on edge the whole time. Any feedback that was given wasn’t very constructive and he had little patience. The radio was on full blast and was distracting. Lucien did provide some good tips for the maneuvers and clearly knows his stuff, but his attitude needs to improve to help students learn efficiently. I went to a different school and passed with a much more constructive teacher. I would recommend anyone looking into schools to shop around!

I had a great experience, the instructor was very very helpful and have had patience and teached me very important things and tips. * don't go to the adress for driving hours ( I didn't know ) they will come and pick you up at your home adress. * I recommend them without hesitation, they are doing their job properly and deliver professional services. 5 stars for James and Andrew for giving a lot of feedback throughout my lessons. I would give other instructors 4 stars for saving feedback until the end, as I feel it’s better to incorporate it as soon as possible. I took roughly 15 lessons and a road test because I didn’t have many opportunities to practice elsewhere. I failed my first road test because I was really nervous, but I passed my second. They can put you in a road test quickly. Not “fancy” but very efficient and straight to the point. Lessons begin and end right outside of the school (no pickup/drop off) but are a good price compared to what I’ve seen around the Boston area.
Took 5 classes but found them mostly basic. Hardly any of my mistakes were corrected properly, failed test due to them. Went to a different driving school for 2 classes where they corrected everything and I was easily able to pass.
I'm very thankful to auto city driving school! Great staff. All so professional. Passed the road test at my first attempt! I know without your help I wouldn't be able to succeed the test so smoothly! So many thanks to my sponsor. You guys know how to help people to become confident and have more chances of succeeding. Overall a solid driving school. Prices are reasonable and pretty easy to schedule. My instructor was patient with me and I appreciate him so much! Definitely consider them if you need just some lessons to brush up, or want a package where they sponsor you for the road test.

Just passed my road test today yes 🙌. I have been to a few other driving schools but American driving Institute was the only school that met all my expectations. My experience with Friendship was very smooth from booking my first lesson to scheduling and doing the road test using their vehicle. My instructor Paul was patient, knowledgable and used analogies that really drove home the message he was conveying. Highly recommend Paul as an instructor and Friendship Auto School as a whole.
Paul was an amazing teacher!! I passed the driving test on the first attempt after about 7 lessons. Each time Paul showed up at my place promptly, and offered the most comprehensive guidance. Throughout my interaction with Paul, there was never once that Paul gets annoyed by my novice skills. He was always patient and offers good humor along the great advises. Definitely would recommend anyone interested in becoming a driver in Boston.
Paul is great! He helped me refresh my skills before the test. During the lesson we practiced maneuvers for the exam. All the communication was clear and easy. Highly recommended!
I took a few lessons with Heman last year, as a very insecure adult driver from the city. He really built my confidence and after just three or four lessons encouraged me to schedule my road test. When I emailed to set up a lesson at first, Paul was really helpful too. They picked me up and dropped me off at my house, right on time, every time. It’s a really well-run place, and they listen to what you’re less confident in so you can focus on that in the lessons. Easy transactions and they take care of the process side. The school’s cars were nice, clean and easy to adjust and drive. It was definitely time and money well spent - passed on my first attempt, even with a nightmarish RMV proctor. I had a great experience with this business and would recommend them to anyone, especially nervous adults.

The school was recommended by someone we trust, and while it has great reviews on Google, there are some concerns raised in other reviews that we chose to overlook. This tendency to prioritize personal recommendations over potential red flags is something we see often, whether it’s in relationships or business. The school’s hours are typically packed, and they require us to call a day in advance to book classes. It took us several weeks to secure an appointment due to their limited availability. However, after finally getting a slot, we had to cancel because something urgent came up—this realization occurred just an hour after making the appointment. We promptly called to inform them that, due to an emergency, we wouldn’t be able to attend the class. What we heard in response was shocking: “Please reschedule with some other school.” We paused, trying to understand if there was a language barrier at play, but it was clear they meant what they said. Their statement that “we decide what’s an emergency” was both unprofessional and dismissive. It feels like you have to be part of an exclusive club to be treated respectfully as a customer. We were simply notifying them of our inability to attend so they could offer the slot to someone else. If they truly are the "Best Driving School," accommodating reschedules should not pose a challenge. Businesses making millions adjust appointments with ease; the unfriendly tone of the person we spoke to crossed the line into disrespect. In my experience with Boston businesses and entrepreneurs, I’ve learned that outstanding customer service is essential for survival and growth. This is only the second lengthy review I’ve written in a decade, the first being about a business that was equally rude and ultimately went under. I feel for the other stakeholders and employees who may be oblivious to this poor customer handling, as they likely wonder why the business is struggling. So, as the person on the phone suggested, we will be rescheduling with another driving school. It’s unfortunate to walk away feeling insulted, but we won’t tolerate such treatment.
Booked this place two days before my road test and they were so incredible helpful! My instructors were Rory and Mr. Pelletier (sorry if I spelled it wrong!). On the day of my exam, they were so reassuring and calmed my nerves after going through some routine testing instructions with me. Also helpful that they do pickup / drop off! Would definitely recommend to anyone trying to get their license!!
I really liked the class! I found the content well explained and easy to understand. The images were very realistic, which helped me a lot to imagine everyday situations in traffic. The experience was very positive and made me even more excited to continue learning. Congratulations to the team for the quality of the material!

Hello all, May this review be helpful to those who have financial constraints. I've chosen this school for driving lessons and sponsorship after seeing all the positive reviews. But after a very unhelpful experience twice with driving instructors like James, Jean(Very impatient).. it seems a very poor decision in contacting The Best Driving School to get a Massachusetts license -> Most of the time they are in a hurry to finish up your practice session, road test sponsorship not having patience at all. -> Such practice sessions are not worth your hard earned money at all -> And it looks like they deliberately fail us to make us book more practice sessions with them. -> It's better to check with another school. -> Don't waste your hard earned money just like that for no result.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS SCHOOL! I called Richways Auto School yesterday to schedule a road test for my brother for 10 AM today, and I made it very clear we needed a car with an Intoxalock device. The woman who answered the phone assured me they had it. I even paid extra for a class with an instructor. Today, my brother did the test and PASSED—only to have it CANCELLED because the car didn't have the Intoxalock! The instructor? He had no idea about any of this. Zero communication between staff. When I called back, the same woman just casually said we’d get a refund. No apology. No responsibility. Nothing. This place is completely unprofessional. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else. Richways wasted our time, money, and effort.

Richway’s is a really good driving school. I highly recommend choosing Frank as your driving instructor for your lessons before you take your road test. Frank is the most genuine, and helpful person to go on the road with! The other instructors are helpful as well, but I will definitely say that Frank was the most helpful and encouraging to me personally.
The instructor I was assigned named Michael did a great job. Other than that, the school is not good. The way that their management is run is not organized, they don't notify you about important details regarding your account. For example, if you call to cancel your driving class they don't give you a confirmation that you canceled on your account and they still charge you unless you follow up more than once despite it being an error on their end. When I paid for my road test, they did not have my payment registered and I had to show them a receipt of the payment from my end. The two receptionists, Monica, I found extremely helpful, but the other one does not know how to resolve matters.

UPDATED 7/12/25: I decided to try again despite my initial lesson and I’m so glad I did. Vladimir, Viktor and Ervin are compassionate, attentive and informative. Their lessons were worlds apart from my initial lesson. I took 5 lessons with these guys and I got my license this morning! I booked the test through the school and it went *chef’s kiss* so smooth and stress-free. Shout out to the receptionist as well for being super informative about what to expect/bring for the test. This rating would be 5 stars if not for my initial experience. My advice to potential students - and this honestly goes against my own ethos: if you’re not vibing with one of the instructors, try another! Though a business really only gets one chance to make a first impression - there are some really good instructors at this school. Don’t let one experience stop you from your endgame. ******************* Had a lesson with Yuriy and found him completely abrasive and unprofessional. He speaks too low, he doesn’t explain things (for example, he instructed me on how to do a three point turn, but didn’t explain how I should know how far to reverse given the limited view through the back windshield), and he stopped to take what I can only assume was a 10 minute cigarette break during the private hour of driving that I PAID FOR. What did I do while he took this break? Sat in the vehicle completely dumbfounded. I can’t speak to the other instructors, and I almost booked again to try with another teacher but the lesson with Yuriy left such a bad taste in my mouth I’ve decided to try lessons at another place.

日本人です。多くの日本人ブログでは、路上試験のコースが非常にシンプルで簡単であることを理由にこちらをお勧めされていますが、ここでの経験を踏まえると、少なくとも日本人にはあまりお勧めできません。 恐らくそれなりに走行性の高い車を運転することに慣れている日本人にとっては、教習車も路上試験に使う車も、いずれもとても運転しづらいと感じると思われます。（天井がやたらと低い、ハンドルの操作性の悪さ、ブレーキがカスカスなど。） もともと私は運転経験はあったものの、試験に特化したスキル習得と、事前に自分の車とは異なる車に慣れる目的で教習を受けました。しかし残念ながら、教習で使う車と路上試験で使う車は異なるものでした。 教習の良し悪しは、担当教官の運次第です。夫の担当教官は試験に特化した内容を中心にレクチャーしてくれたようですが、私の教官は、試験対策というよりは、今後使える技術を中心に教えてくれました。 RMVから派遣されている試験官の良し悪しについても運次第とは思いますが、周りの日本人の話を聞く限りは、怖い人が多い印象です。私の時は試験官は威圧的、後ろに座っているスポンサーは陽気なお兄さんでした。 詳細は割愛しますが、私は1メートルも走らないまま「車の基本がわかっていない。all setだ」と言われて不合格となりました。ちなみに英語はそれなりに会話も聞き取りも出来ます。 路上試験は土曜にしか開催されていないので、一度落ちると次の予約までしばらく空きがないこともあります。国際免許の期限が迫っている方などはご注意下さい。 また不合格になると、外で待機者を整列させているスタッフが、皆に不合格の理由を公にして、同じ轍を踏まないよう注意を促します。並んで待っている立場としてはありがたい情報でもあるのですが、不合格を言い渡された直後にそれをされるとわりと落ち込みます。 私はこちらで試験に落ちた後、知り合いのアドバイスをもとに２週間後に別の教習所＆RMVで試験を受け、スムーズに合格出来ました。別のRMVは平日も路上試験を開催しており、教習も試験と同日にレッスンを入れてもらえ、その教習車をそのまま路上試験で使えました。 ブラックライン教習所のメリットを挙げるとすると、教習と路上試験の申し込みの窓口が一本化されていること、路上試験のコースを実際に運転して練習が出来ること、路上試験のコースが閑散とした住宅街の非常にシンプルなコースということです。（このようなコースを良しと思うかは人次第とは思いますが。私はもう少し自然体の交通量の方が違和感がなくて良かったなと思いました） この口コミに目を止めて下さる日本人がいれば、ぜひご参考にしてください。

The best school in all of New England. I had experience driving in another country, but I needed to prepare in a short time. The guys in the office are very polite and professional. They adapted to my needs and answered all my questions. I studied with an instructor named Joseph, he managed to prepare me for the exam in just three days! He explained very well what and how to do, showed my mistakes and told me what the examiners would look for. The guys do more than they should, you can rely on them! Thanks to everyone who took part in my preparation for the exam. You are great!
This school sucks I got yelled at by the instructor all the time I told her boss and they both retaliated against me the day I went for my road test I got set up because the instructor was all buddy buddy with the state trooper at the RMV and they failed me for no reason. I recommend going to another driving school this place only has two instructors and one of them will scream at you all the time for nothing and make your life impossible so you don’t pass your road test. These people ruined my life

Had the biggest aversion to driving, as an anxious driver I didn’t know if I could do it (in Downtown/Chinatown no less) since I had no prior experience, but my instructor gave me the confidence to operate a vehicle from the very first lesson. In a matter of 2 months I took several lessons with Dan who was patient, friendly and informative. Booked my road test this past weekend and passed on the first try, special shout-out to Peter and Woldin for my last two lessons before my exam w/ highway practice. Very much recommend! Thanks to Metro Boston Driving School for helping me pass my road test at Braintree today 🥹 I would recommend the school for anyone needing driving lessons and / or a road test sponsor. It was pretty easy to set up lessons either via phone or in the office. They were responsible and on time for all lessons (I had maybe like 6/7 lessons), and always texted me the day of the lessons in the morning to remind me. During our lessons, they focused on the info / advice I needed to pass the test. The car and the location were comfortable. All the people I interacted with were great. You can pay individual lessons, unlike other driving schools that asked you to buy a package of lessons. And I always came with cash. If you are planning on learning during the summer, keep in mind that it’s busy season so you should book things with time. Try them out, it’s worth it!
Metro Boston Driving School is absolutely fantastic! Prior to enrolling with them, I had experiences with two other driving schools where the instructors displayed apathy and kept their distance. However, in every session with Dan and Wolin at Metro Boston Driving School, they were courteous and actively involved. Thanks to their instruction, my driving skills improved significantly, and I successfully passed my driving test with confidence.

John, zee and his entire staff, were very knowledgeable, deatil oriented through my daughters entire process, they went an extra mile picking her up when transportation was not on our side. My daughter had a great experience since day 1 and passed her driving test today on her first try. Thank you again, Boston Driving School!!! I did John's 10-hour driving lesson package, since I was a beginner. I passed the road test with confidence, but more importantly I feel prepared to drive safely and easily anywhere on the road. He teaches parallel parking super well, and is a rmv-certified examiner himself, so he knows just how to help. John also shares my love for doggies, so dog-spotting during lessons was enjoyable too :)
Flawless experience!! I took their 2-hour driving class+ road test package. I got Alex as an instructor. He is an experienced driver and taught me everything in a friendly way. They also made me feel home at driving classes. I would highly recommend this driving school.
I went for my road test yesterday and John was a true gem. He was patient and made me feel at ease during my test. I made two mistakes during my test but I was able to still pass. It was definitely meant for me to go through him. I practiced an hour before the test with him. He teaches you tricks that no other school has taught me and I went to two different driving schools prior to signing up with his school. Thank you John for everything your the best.

I have recently gotten my license after taking lessons at Jorge’s so I can finally write a review on this mess of a place. I took about 5 lessons here before eventually going somewhere else. The instructors themselves are ok but it’s not exactly safe to take personal phone calls during road lessons, regardless of how experienced a student is. Also I paid for an hour lesson so give me that whole 60 minutes, not exactly my fault you showed up late for it. The final straw as to why I left the school was when I had an 8am lesson with Boreth and he never showed up. I waited 20 minutes and he didn’t pick up his personal cell phone and no one picked up in the office. I was buying breakfast before class and he called a whole hour and a half after my lesson asking me where I was. I told him he was late and I couldn’t wait for him. He told me to call the office then to reschedule. I called that office three times every day for the next 4 days and no one picked up, doesn’t help either their voicemail box is off. Eventually I left an email through their website and got a response a day later asking me when I was available for a road lesson. I just didn’t care anymore to respond so I called Jorge’s Auto School who gladly took me in after a single phone call. So enjoy that free money from that road lesson I never got!
Just watch your driving school guy going on Woburn St doing 31 miles an hour speed limits 25 if this is how you’re teaching kids how to drive then your school driving should be shut down. Follow the law 25 mph not 31.
Drivers are very rude. You pay $50 for a one hour driving lesson, but you end up driving for like 30 mins...!?! I don’t know why I decided to use them as a sponsor for my road test, but I Paid $99.00, only to wait TWO! plus hours for the instructor, because they were late, and that doesn’t even include the waiting for your turn with 10 other people!, And apparently that $99 doesn’t cover the road test fee of $35! I didn’t pass the first time around so when I tried to reschedule one through the rmv the second time , I couldn’t schedule a road test until I paid that $35...which I thought was taken care of. They also never pick up their phones, I gotta call like 3 times a day every like 3 hours to get someone to pick up the damn phone.
I had one road test lesson with Monica before going to the actual one. She was very supportive and patiently taught me to do parallel parking and many more. I’m impressed with this school. Highly recommended!

Metro driving was a great experience. I worked with Scott, who was very open to working around my schedule. Their online courses helped me learn the rules of the road, and their in-car lessons help me learn how to apply them.
Decent place Ben and Scott are great guys, but they aren't very responsive.
I had a great experience with Metro Driving School. I’d was able to learn a lot a lot from Scott, who’s an excellent teacher. I’d pass my road test on the first try!
