We highly recommend Nevada Drive Academy! Jeff was incredibly helpful and tailored his teaching style to accommodate our needs, especially considering that English is my wife's second language. She was quite anxious about the exam, but thanks to Jeff’s patient and effective instruction, she passed her driving test on her first attempt.
This honestly is one of the best driving schools out here in Nevada! I searched for months on driving schools to see which would be the best for me to use and I'm so thankful I used this driving academy! Jeff is a very calm driving instructor who prioritizes you being comfortable behind the wheel. I did 5 lessons with Jeff in total and I have to say I learned so much driving with him. He knows how to keep conversation while also teaching which is great! And I'm happy to say because of him I have a license now so I'm very thankful for all the things he taught me!

I just wanted to give a shout out to Dwayne and Art for getting me through my busy school year and I passed my driving test on the first try with very minimal errors. I would also like to say they increased my confidence on the road and in my overall abilities!
Today’s in-car driving lesson with Safe Driving was outstanding! Art, the instructor, provided clear, step-by-step guidance, ensuring confidence throughout the session. Art focused on building safe habits, such as proper lane changes, defensive driving techniques, and maintaining awareness of my surroundings. The hands-on practice, combined with his calm and encouraging demeanor, made it a productive and stress-free learning experience. My son left feeling more prepared and skilled behind the wheel. Art is an awesome instructor! Not only he explained everything thoroughly, he was very encouraging and help me gained confidence when I was driving. He would gently guide me back on track when I made driving mistakes. Highly recommend him!

Michelle is an excellent instructor; her lessons are easily understandable. She is such a great person. I had a fun time during driving I recommend everyone take driving classes here.
I passed my driving test the first time thanks to to Rick and Emily! Scheduling with Rick was easy. He responded quickly and was on time to each lesson. Before my test I was nervous, but both Emily and Rick gave me the confidence to pass! They drove me around the DMV area and gave me super helpful tips. The pricing may be a little pricy, but from the communication to the lessons itself, it was enjoyable and I totally recommend this Driving school! Drivers ED was also fun, the class got pizza on the last day!

George is a great and friendly instructor. Before we started to drive on the road, George spent about 30 minutes to explain important things to be aware of while driving. This showed me how professional he is. I practiced driving with him about 5 times, and I finally got my drivers license:) I highly recommend George if you are looking for a driving instructor!
George is an amazing teacher. Passed my driving test the first time.. he is very detailed and explain the 5 major points of the test. Draws you an illustration to keep. Thanks to George's patience and encouragement I was able to confidently pass my first test with a 94! He is incredibly knowledgeable about the roads and he certainly made me feel more comfortable driving especially as someone who has had trouble experiencing driving anxiety. He explains everything comprehensively and I was able to learn so many useful tips in such short lessons. Truly a trustworthy instructor I can't recommend enough!!

My son, Robert, took lessons at Las Vegas Driving School. He passed his driving test with a score of 89% after just 4 hours of lessons with Frank! Frank was very patient and professional. I passed my drivers test with the help of Las Vegas NV Driving School and Driver’s Ed! Their online website for drivers ed was easy to use and very understandable. My in person sessions with them taught me valuable skills to keep with me on the road. They have helped me become a cautious and well rounded driver! Favor was amazing to work with and helped my daughter pass her driving test. Nexsan was a great instructor who was able to correct some of my daughter's driving problems in just a couple of lessons. The school was also able to provide a vehicle for my daughter to take her driving test in, which was very useful since we didn't have an appropriate vehicle at the time.

I’ll admit it, I was terrified to drive with my teen son. ;) Monte was patient, tailored the lessons to focus on the skills he needed, and somehow transformed my nervous new driver into a confident one. Having the instructor’s brake control on the passenger side gave my teen the chance to progress faster and safer than I ever could have managed on my own. Now I can sit in the passenger seat without gripping the door handle for dear life. Highly recommend!
Great learning experience. Monte is an instructor who makes sure you understand the practical side of the rules which makes it more engaging and easier to digest and apply. He's feedback on the way you drive and what you need to look for are "spot on" as we say. The other nice thing we did is a simulation of the driving test by going to the actual location of the DMV school and went through all the check lists that you will be going through at the day of your exam. This by it self will boost your confidence and get you set up for the day of the driving test. I would recommend this experience for everyone as it will not only make you pass the exam, but also teaches you how to drive safely on the roads
When I signed up for this class, I was expecting it to be extremely boring and unhelpful. But with Monte as my instructor, I learned so much useful information about life skills and solving problems that I had never been taught before. I am 1000% happy that I didn’t take drivers ed online because this class was engaging and fun and I learned a lot.

Debra was the perfect instructor for my son. She was patient and really took the time to understand how my son learns most effectively.
I would 10/10 recommend taking these lessons without the help of my instructors, Debra and Valeria. I wouldn’t have become the driver I am to do, I’m not so scared of the road, I had my drivers test yesterday. I passed it on my first try. Also I loved having the guidance from both of my instructors!
Miss Margaret gave me the best preparation and lesson for driving! I was her student and she gave me pointers that prepared me for the test but also for driving beyond the test. After our lesson I kept practicing and remembered all the tips and teaching Miss Margaret taught me and January of this year I went back and passed first try! She helped me with my nerves when driving and lane changing. Since then I’ve been driving and I have all the tips in my head. I just wanted to thank Miss Margaret Estrada for giving me the best encouragement and experience for driving that I’ll forever use!

I was able to pass my driving test thanks to Zachary, David, Debra, and Luke at the office! They were always kind and taught me traffic rules carefully! They also quickly found an available instructor so I could take the DMV test, and on the test day, after practicing for an hour and a half, they gave me a ride to the DMV and encouraged me! I’m truly grateful to all of them!

I worked with Lily across five lessons and she was fantastic! Very understanding and flexible, and I didn't feel pressured to do anything too crazy until I was more comfortable. I ended up passing my test first try. Well worth the money!
THIS IS THE WORSE DRIVING SCHOOL EVER!! Woldu was the worst instructor. Never helped during the lessons and also wouldn't communicate about arranging lessons, so I was left on my own when it came to prepare for my test. If you're looking for a school that prepares you for your drivers test, DO NOT COME HERE. It's a scam.
Great service overall. My driving instructor Mr. T does a great job at pushing me to do better. Although sometimes I feel pressured with his aggressive tone of voice, I know it’s because he cares and wants me to do better while applying the corrections.
I cannot thank Ms. Lily enough for helping me improve my driving skills with confidence. From day one, she was incredibly encouraging, patient, and very clear with her instructions. She made every lesson productive and calm, and she always took the time to explain things in a way that made sense to me. Thanks to her, I passed my driving test on the first try and I feel completely ready to drive on my own!

I’m writing this after having taken my driving test and passing with flying colors! There is no doubt that the instructors of Cantor are not only training you to pass the test but to drive in your everyday life. Richard Dorsey was my instructor 5 out of my 8 lessons and I would highly recommend him. His attention to detail, reassurance, and overall skill helped me to pass. Had a blast learning to drive with James Goddard and his fellow driving instructors. Had over ten lessons with them and I passed my test today! James was very understanding and patient with me. My experience with Truck U was amazing... I was able to learn the pre-trip safety checks, which is a mandatory part of how to operate a class A vehicle over the road safely. Not only that, Truck U was able to give me the extra time and work with me to make sure I obtained my CDL. The instructor that showed me over the road shifting was amazing. Dan, I can't thank you enough for making me feel like I could complete the test and giving me the skills I needed to accomplish my goals.

I just got my CDL A there. Going to school there was a pleasant experience. All of the instructors, staff , also the AXT transportation employees are nice and encouraging. They train you to perfection. But in the end they are all excited when pass all the examinations. You do pre-trip, skills 5 days a week. You also spend so much time on the road where you get trained and evaluated every time they keep records of all your drives so you know where to improve . Then once your drive is over you get a text telling you to rate your instructor on how they were during the drive. The only thing I did not like is I had a month of training in an Automatic truck 8 hours a day 5 days a week. But only 20 hours of training in a Manual truck 4 hours a day, 5 days. Since my evaluation was bad they let me drive 2 times extra before my I had to take my test. But in the end I pass and that’s all that matters. If you decide to get a Manual certification. Beg for more time consistently. But other then that if you just get the Automatic it’s perfect.
Best school out there. Had a great experience, all the instructors and staff are all amazing people.

Donny was great I had fun learning under him especially the time he takes to guide you through the maneuvers of driving. I will give my first review ever to NV Driving School. I am not one that writes reviews but I am SO pleased with the driving education my son is receiving. Ms. Ellie is outstanding, and extremely knowledgeable of Nevada laws. Her behind the wheel training goes beyond just placing my son behind the wheel and teaching him to drive. She takes him on a different route every lesson so he can experience the many different roads and traffic signs through the valley which is so important. For example, the North Side is not the same as driving in Henderson or Summerlin, so she covers EVERYTHING. She leaves NO stone unturned. I called around before finding NV Driving School and never booked an appointment with any other school before NV Driving School. I could tell just from my phone conversion with the other schools out there that they were all about the money and NOT the education and teaching my son correctly. NV Driving School is a Five Star School. Look no further!!!
I had a warrant out for my arrest because there was no follow up from this driving school. Ben is by far the most rude man I've ever spoken to. I did not have any patience to teach my teenage daughter how to drive. But, with this driving school my daughter had learned the correct laws and all the rules of the road because, they sit these students in class and thoroughly go through everything. My daughter has the confident to drive and passed and received her license thanks to Ellie and Marcos they are patience and they make sure the students are confident enough. You are not wasting your money or time they Want your teenager to know the rules and they are serious about safety. So, my 13 year old will be going to this school when his time comes! Thank you Ellie and Marcos!
After 2 failed attempts on the DMV actual driving test, my husband and I decided that I take professional driving lessons to familiarize myself with the rules of the road. So I enrolled at Nevada Driving Schools for BTW sessions and their trainors Ty and Sam are the BEST!!! They are friendly, helpful and experts in what they do! This driving school exceded my expectations! My daughter learned how to be a safe driver and gave me peace of mind. Teaching a teenager to drive and pass the driving exam on the first try is no easy task yet instructor Brian nailed it. I highly recommend this driving school. Best investment ever!

The school was great the instructors were awesome. Damon was a wealth of knowledge with his years of experience. And Ray really helped get the pre-trip drilled into your head. I would highly recommend 160 driving academy to anyone that is interested in going.
My experience at 160 was much better than I expected. I expected it to be stuffy and rigid, but the reality was the total opposite. The atmosphere and the flow of things at the Reno/Carson City training yard were very casual and personable, but don't let the chill demeanor of the instructors fool you. All of the instructors were extremely experienced, knowledgeable, skilled, helpful, patient, and just plain friendly. They did whatever was necessary to help you understand everything required to pass the CDL DMV tests. The only things I wasn't the biggest fan of was that all of the training trucks weren't the same and that the training needed a little more focused structure. Overall, my time at 160 was great, the instructors are pure gold, and I would highly recommend people to 160. I'm grateful I chose 160. Thank you!
My experience at the Reno 160 Drive Academy was a 10 out of 10 from beginning to end. By far some of the best mentors I've ever had. They'll do whatever they can to help you learn, but you definitely need to go into this willing to learn and to listen to constructive criticism without getting upset or feeling discouraged. Everyone on this team is amazing. Stacey was really helpful when I signing up for the course, Damon, Matt and Lynn are the instructors at the yard. They're all very experienced drivers and they'll each teach different tips and tricks to better understand things throughout the course. I'm thankful for my time here! I would definitely recommend the 160 Drive Academy in Reno.
I just graduated and passed my DMV test and got a job!! I got something from each instructor. It was all inclusive. I had so much fun learning and connecting with the instructors and otter students. There were some hiccups as with anything. But I would recommend 160 Driving Academy for sure. I meant to add 5 stars. Stupid thumbs!
160 driving academy, Damon, John and Lynn are outstanding instructors understanding, and very helpful and they take your time serious and they push you to get every little bit of information. They are very easy-going great vibes about the school. The yard is in good condition, and the trucks are up to par. if I could do it again, I definitely go through 160 driving academy and Stacey. The recruiter is all for making sure you have what you need and helping you through any trouble getting going in the process I would recommend the school to anybody that’s looking to acquire their CDL and I just want to thank everybody at 160 driving academy for giving me their time and patience and being a awesome team

This is a great Truck Driving School. You are granted the opportunity to drive the truck on your very first day at school. The instructors are really good and very patient with the students , where students are encouraged to work hard on every aspects of truck driving. The administrators of the school consider the difficult financial situations that some students are trying to cope with ; hence the school administrative staff go out of their way to accommodate the student's need. A wonderful training environment where we have BBQ every Thursdays and even on weekends too. You really get your money's worth when you study at this school , they will continue to train you until you get your CDL at no extra cost. Isn't that cool??

I absolutely enjoyed everything about NDTDS Randy , Patty ,Pete & Michelle were great. I’m guessing that from the students that joined from the other schools around that I chose the right one. They get you behind the wheel on day one! You can go sat your own pace so if you’re motivated it fly’s by.

I passed my exam today! I’d like to commend Jane for starting it off and for boosting my confidence. Never driven before and took only 2 lessons with her. She’s so calm and soft spoken which really helps in us being able to think straight and upfront.
Not sure why so many of the comments are negative. I used the school three times—8 hour lessons, 10 hour lesson, and road test. Kathy is very nice and flexible with scheduling lessons. Sam was an excellent teacher. He was very patient and actively worked with me to improve the areas I was struggling with (mainly turning). He brought his own small pillow for me to sit on in order to improve my visibility, and we spent a whole day working on turns. The school adequately prepared me to pass the road test. I earned a perfect score on the parallel parking.
Safeway has a great instructor named Dale. He is the best! He works well with students and their families. Request Dale if you need an instructor with patience and skills. He works well with people with health impairments as well. He is a great person. We had great experience with Dale and we are indebted for his patience and perseverance. Thank you Dale!. Safeway is getting 5 stars because of him.
EDIT: Attached are screenshots of the harassing text messages my son has been receiving. It appears they are retaliating because we proceeded with disputing the charges through our bank—an action we were forced to take due to their continued failure to return phone calls or emails regarding the refund for services not rendered. Additionally, I want to note that the bank dispute was initiated in October, yet the harassing text messages and phone calls only began on January 30, 2025. This pattern of behavior is unacceptable and further underscores their unwillingness to handle this matter professionally. I am extremely disappointed with the experience my son and I had with this driving school. We purchased 5 two-hour behind-the-wheel lessons, and the service we received was far from acceptable. Our lessons were originally scheduled for September 19th, 20th, 24th, 25th, and 26th from 12 PM to 2 PM. • On September 19th, the instructor didn’t arrive until 1:34 PM • The lesson on the 20th went as planned. • On the 24th, no one showed up by 12:15 PM, so my son called the school, and they said the driver was having issues at the DMV and would need to reschedule for Friday, September 27th. • When I called on the 27th, I was told we had to reschedule again for October 3rd, 4th, and 5th, due to the same DMV issues. Fast forward to October 3rd: Once again, no one showed up by 12 PM. I called at 12:31 PM, and they claimed they had informed my son last week that the driver had a virus and couldn’t make it. This was completely false, as I spoke to them last week, and they never mentioned a virus—only DMV issues. This entire experience has been a complete hassle, filled with delays, excuses, and poor communication. I requested a refund on 10/03 but have yet to receive it despite following up with email. The lady I spoke with said she would leave a note for the owner but have not heard back. The next step will be to dispute the charges with my bank as they did not provide the service we paid for. I cannot recommend this driving school to anyone—it has been a waste of time and money.
Sam is great. He does not sugar coat anyhing. He is honest and recommeneds loads more driver training. He is courteous and allows her to make her mistakes then discusses those mistakes with all of us. I love how he tunes into confidence levels and looks for nervousness. Slow and steady will ensure she passes her test. Our baby will be knowledgeable and informed before we turn her loose. Mommy and Poppi are very proud of our angel baby. 3 more sessions with Sam and she will be ready to pass her drivers test without a hitch. The rest of our kids are chomping at the bit wanting for Sam to be their instructor.
