The teacher vicmiry was very knowledgeable and professional. She made the time fly by and I didn't eve noticed. Very energetic, communicative. Hope every teacher was like her!!!!. Hope to have her as the teacher the next time I renew.

Had a great experience with Cedeno driving school. I already had my license in my home country so I just took 1h class and then took the test. It was all very straight forward. I recommend this class! They're super responsive by email and on the phone.

They were very helpful and managed to accommodate me at short notice and rearrange my test. I already had a UK licence so just needed to take the test with them and understand the basics of the test. Can’t fault them. Worth noting though that you can end up waiting a long time for the test. Not their fault, it’s the DMV’s process. But worth noting.

This is the best school ever !! I did my 5 hour class here and it was on zoom , then I did my lessons and the instructor was very cool and patient and I was able to pass my road test on the first try. If you do not come here you will regret it !!! YOU DEFINITELY GET YOUR MONEY WORTH!! I always recommend everyone I know to come here because it’s worth it and they also do other services like notary , passports pictures but they are known for driving school .

Cedeno Driving School was the best decision I could’ve made! Jorge Alvarez and Luis Alcivar were both incredible instructors—super patient, knowledgeable, and encouraging throughout the whole process. They explained everything in a way that made it easy to understand and always made me feel comfortable behind the wheel, even when I was nervous at first. Their guidance gave me the confidence I needed, and thanks to them I passed my road test! The school is very professional, easy to schedule with, and truly cares about their students’ success. I had both luis’ as instructors and thought they were really amazing and supportive. They gave me great advice to help me fix my mistakes and become a better driver. I failed twice, mainly because I had terrible anxiety about it, but when I went back to cedeno and spoke to them about my issues, they set me up to succeed by booking me a double lesson before the test, and a free extra class to help me pass! During my lesson, I showed my instructor my mistakes and he catered the lesson to those areas, which helped me be more confident. And I passed in the third try :) thank you for being so helpful and kind!

I just passed my Driving Road Test, and I have to say, Confident Driving School is THE BEST. They turned something stressful into a smooth and even fun experience. It all started with a phone call. I called the school a little nervous, expecting a rushed conversation, but Morris answered and completely changed the vibe. He walked me through every single step of the process with so much patience, making sure I understood it all. By the end of the call, I felt like, “Okay, I can do this!” Then he sent me a link to book my lessons, which was super easy to use. The website is straightforward. You pick your own class times and locations without the usual back-and-forth or confusion. Simple, smooth, and stress-free. Then came Otto, my instructor and honestly, my driving guardian angel. Otto is professional, calm, and knows exactly how to explain things in a way that makes sense. Plus, he has this knack for making lessons fun while teaching you what not to do so you don’t make those classic rookie mistakes. Thanks to him, by my second lesson, I was parallel parking like a pro, something I never thought I’d say in this lifetime. For test day, I went with their package to rent a car, and wow, best decision ever. They handled all the DMV madness like paperwork, appointments, and calls, so I didn’t have to stress or lose my mind dealing with it. All I had to do was show up, drive, and pass. I took 9 classes + practice and driving test with Confident. Most of my classes were with Omari and he was an amazing instructor. Morris was super helpful throughout and got me an expedited test and was very helpful in learning about the test procedure. I took my test at the Ditmas Av location and passed on the first attempt. Highly recommend this driving school!

I had an amazing experience with the Confident Driver School. I had never driven before and had my first lesson with Otto and continued with him as my instructor. I also had lessons with Jose and Morris and those were also great experiences. Everyone was patient with me and I passed my test the first try!!!! Nothing but good things to say!

Took my class today with instructor Jose and he is highly entertaining. Side blocks are the better parking, Sundays no meter and the location is close enough to a variety of food for the short breaks you get. I hate TLC for making me take this class because for me the information is what EVERYONE should already know. AND have to take it again in 3 more year? 🤬 Its a money grab but Jose made it tolerable

I signed up for the semi-beginner package (10 lessons) with Miguelina as my instructor, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the very first lesson, she made me feel comfortable and confident behind the wheel. We started with the basics, like learning the different parts of the car, and with each session I noticed my skills and confidence improving. Miguelina was patient, encouraging, and always explained things in a way that was easy to understand. After completing my 10 lessons, I decided to add an extra lesson before my road test. I took my test on August 18 in Yonkers and passed on my very first try! I highly recommend Miguelina to anyone whether you’re a brand-new driver with no experience or someone who just wants to brush up on your skills. She is truly excellent at what she does, and I’m so grateful I had her as my instructor.

I did not have much experience driving beforehand but Mr. Frank made me pass on my first try! He is an excellent instructor and has a way with teaching that makes it fun and easy to understand. I had the pleasure of learning with Frank Dao at Gold Success Driving School, and I’m so glad I did because I passed my road test! Frank is hands down one of the best instructors I’ve ever had. He’s knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely invested in his students’ success. Each 90-minute lesson was used effectively, and Frank gave clear, step-by-step instructions that made sure I understood not only what to do, but also why it mattered. I really appreciated how he handled mistakes. He explained what I did wrong, how it would be scored on the test, and exactly how to fix it. This helped me improve quickly and gain confidence. Parallel parking used to make me so nervous, but Frank’s method made it so much easier. He’s punctual, professional, friendly, and you can tell he truly wants his students to succeed. If you’re looking for an instructor who puts in 100% effort to help you pass and feel confident on the road, I can’t recommend Frank enough. Telemundo Driving School is an excellent driving school. I finally passed the road test on my 3rd attempt, with the help of patient instructors. For beginner to intermediate drivers, I definitely recommend the 10 lessons package. Overall, I had a great experience with Telemundo Driving School.

Now through Janice I finally passed my road test after trying and failing by myself too many times so I'm really glad I decided to try this school and really grateful to them for teaching me and helping me feel comfortable and ready to pass.

When I first started at Janice driving school, I was super nervous and did not think I would be able to pass my test , but with the help of the teachers in this school I was able to pass my 5 hour class and my road test on the first try . The 1st SGT was incredibly knowledgeable and straightforward—no sugarcoating, just clear insights and techniques that actually improved my driving. He explained exactly what to expect on the test and gave me valuable pointers to refine my skills. As someone who had major driving anxiety and who didn’t think they would ever be able to drive, I can’t recommend this driving school enough. George is an excellent instructor, and I greatly appreciated his patience with me as a skittish driver. Though it definitely took me a while to get over my nerves, George was always very supportive and encouraging. His wife was also incredibly accommodating when it came to scheduling lessons, which as a student I also greatly appreciated. You’re in good hands here!

Over the summer, I enrolled in the 5 hour pre-licensing course, 15 lessons and road test exam package and was finally able to pass it after several previously failed attempts. George (or "Sarge" as I like to refer him as) initially assessed my driving skills then tailored lessons, leading up to the road test, to address the observed weaknesses for improvement. They were considerate as well as mindful about my availability and created an accommodating schedule around it. What I personally found most helpful were the driving assessments that mimicked the seriousness of the actual road test but in a less-intense manner. Family owned and embedded into the community that they serve!

I took 3 lessons with Miguel and he was very patient and kind. I failed the first road test, but Iralda made it work for me to retake the road test very quickly again and then I passed! Everyone at Acropolis was very friendly and I'm happy I got my drivers license!

I had a great experience with this driving school! My first interaction was with Iralda (I believe the owner), and she was so friendly and welcoming. She answered all of my questions over the phone and made me feel comfortable right away. Since my permit was expiring on 9/23, I was in a hurry to get my license, and they were able to squeeze me in for 15 lessons in August. They even offered me a double lesson to help speed up the process. Lissy at the front desk was also very friendly and informative, and she made scheduling easy. My instructor was Marlene & she’s so wonderful! Very nice, patient, and helpful throughout the whole process. Thanks to her guidance, I passed my road test on the first try! I would definitely recommend this driving school to friends!!

After failing my road test twice with two other schools, I finally found Acropolis driving School with only a few lessons. I managed to pass my road test on the third time.The instructors were great. The team was great. I have no complaints whatsoever and I’m very grateful for them. Highly recommend.

Take this from someone who passed his road test after 5 attempts. It is by far the best driving school I've ever been. The staff and instructors deeply care about making their students become safe and very skilled drivers. Shoutout to Sebastian. He is the best instructor I've had. Laid back and celebrates small progress with his students during lessons. If you ever want to be a driver and get your driver's license, I'd 100% recommend you go to Agile Driving School in Queens in Hillside Ave. I just took a road test today in Garden City after my lesson and I passed. I purchased the new driver’s package with 8 lessons, the 5 hour course, and the road test included around the end of March. Since then, I’ve been taking lessons with Joseph B, who was such a major help and great instructor (as well as Ian), especially for someone like me who had major driving anxiety. I just took my road test and passed, and I owe it to these lessons for building my confidence and preparing me. Drive Rite also dealt with a concern I had with a less than positive experience with a different instructor and gave me back a lesson due to the negative experience. Overall, I highly recommend Drive Rite!

I passed my road test thanks to Joseph's patience and straightforward guidance at Drive Rite. Customer support was helpful and responsive. Pricing is steep, especially for younger drivers. It may be worth considering family or friends for practice unless you prefer an insured company. I worked with three instructors. Unfortunately, this is where the problems began. I wanted an instructor with strong speaking skills. As a person of color, this is a tricky topic to navigate. However, I care deeply about driving disciplines as I desire to drive safely and play a role in protecting others on the road as well. The last thing I need is to receive instruction from someone I have trouble understanding. Safety takes priority here. An onsite staff member explained that I had a variety of instructors to choose from. He also mentioned that they had one instructor, Kalich, who was good but was soft-spoken. After this conversation, I decided to move forward and purchase a package. When the time came for me to schedule lessons, the only person available was Kalich. I decided to give him a chance. During our lesson, I quickly realized he was not the man for the job. I had no issues with his knowledge but prefer a more passionate and enthusiastic learning environment. Then I met Sam. He was excellent. He was emphatic and clear. I decided that Sam was the guy. Unfortunately, I was never able to book Sam again. I could not book him as he was on leave once, and then I was told he was no longer with the company. Because of that, I began scheduling sessions with Joseph. Joseph was laid-back, but his instructions were confident and clear, and he was good company. He was forthright about areas where I could improve. Joseph ultimately led me to success. Joseph advised scheduling lessons close to the test to stay sharp. Unfortunately, Joseph was unavailable for the final two weeks before the road test. The only person available was Kalich, a day before the road test. Kalich was a no-show the day before the road test. When the scheduled time for my lesson came and went, I called DRA, and the rep told me Kalich was supposed to be there. He told me he'd reach out to him and call me back with an update. However, during the conversation, he was already insinuating that Kalich might not make it. After a while, I called back because I hadn't heard back from anyone. The rep told me that Kalich was not responding to texts, that he had recently submitted his resignation, and that maybe that had something to do with it. His absence hurt my preparation. The rep promised a $60 refund, but I never got confirmation. On the day of the test, Kalich was responsible for driving us to the test site. Before getting there, I decided to let it go. He didn't apologize or explain. He waited until the other students and I crammed into the car and asked me in front of them, "You had a lesson yesterday; what happened?". I responded, "You didn't show up," he chuckled and replied, "Something must have been wrong with your address." How could something be wrong with my address when he gave me one of my first lessons at that very address? If they had the wrong address on file, how could Sam and Joseph find me at my address each time? Honestly, I grew to look down upon Kalich and his lack of accountability. He's unreliable. Had he found himself at the wrong address, why didn't he call me like Joseph would when he was downstairs? I overheard he quit to pursue being a pilot, but I fear any establishment that would allow him to preside over the lives of passengers on a plane. I'm saddened that he quit because the opportunity for him to have been fired is now lost. DRA gets three stars for good support and Joseph’s five-star work. Kalich is why this rating had to sit somewhere in the middle. It is fair, and I've heard enough excuses from Kalich himself. I'm really not interested in a response. I trust DRA will see and correct the problem, and I'll be looking for my refund for the one lesson.

Ruki Auto Driving School in the Bronx is one of the best driving schools I have ever been too. It doesn't matter if you have never driven before or just brushing up to take the road test, Ruki instructors have got your back. I purchased a couple of packages from Ruki Driving School and passed my road test on the first try. I had absolutely no driving experience before going to Ruki. Ruki worked with me to schedule the lessons around my work schedule. My instructors were TJ and Tim. They were both very knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly instructors. TJ specifically went above and beyond to make sure he was available the days leading up to my road test so I could feel more secure. I also have to say that Ronnell, the person that drove me to the road test, was very kind and gave helpful tips. I will definitely be going back to Ruki to get highway driving lessons so I can begin driving more now that I have my license!

Ruki Driving School was so helpful, everything i needed to pass my road test and more. From the minute i contacted them everyone was super nice and so eager to help, from the front desk staff to the instructor themselves. My instructor was Mr. Frank, he was very patient, professional, articulate and kind. He helped me improve my turning and helped me master my parking for my road test. He was also very accommodating by squeezing me in for a extra lesson before the exam. Denise who was the office administrator was also wonderful. JR has been a stellar instructor: I picked up lessons after 10 years to try at it again and JR has been my night teacher after work. Charismatic, knowledgeable, and speaks to me in a way that computes (as I know my stress levels and panic can often kick in), I find myself more confident than ever on this upcoming round of trying my test again.

Drive rite helped me get my license. Every lesson with jay was great he was calm and helped me with what I needed help with the most. On the day of my test some mistakes were made on drive rites part but they made up for it with an extra lesson and getting me rescheduled for a new lesson asap. On the day of that lesson the instructor drilled into my head everything the dmv was looking for while we waited for my time and now I have my license

I’m reading all the reviews about people passing their driving test after 2 lessons. And that makes sense to you all???? He tried the same thing with me and I said NO. I did not pay $600 for me to take 3 lessons (without teaching me how to park yet) and take the exam!!! I wanted all of my 11 lessons!! And you all should want to take all your lessons too!! And due to that when I took me lesson the instructor failed me with 90 points!!! How does someone that takes 11 lessons and fail with 90 points???? Sounds like a set up to me!! I do not recommend this school!! Anyone that does not allow you to complete your lessons before taking an exam is not a good look to me!!! Take a look at my test!! How can I be going to slow but driving close behind someone???? See it does not make sense!! I got cheated out of my $600 and it sucks!!!

The thought of me learning to drive in NYC gave me anxiety and I was a nervous wreck leading up to my classes but meeting Zetty erased all of that. She was personable, patient, and made me super comfortable behind the wheel. By class 2 I felt really good & she continued to build my confidence each lesson with ease. I’ve been to other driving schools before and unfortunately failed my first road test—I left feeling unprepared and super nervous. Last minute I booked a car rental for my sons road test and it was easy and Galy was so helpful she made the process so smooth and easy for me I’m so thankful for her help !! The driver was also wonderful and on time and made sure my son took his test even though my son was late so I’m grateful for all of there help !! My Name is Roberto after having a bad experience with a bad school which I am not going to mention their name Sunday September 7 I found my self in a problem my son was having a road test at 8 in the morning and I look up curve driving school and call to see if they had a car avaliable for 8:30 Monday September 8th and the guy said yeah of course I have one I can also offer you a hour class to see if your son is ready for the road test after hearing such a polite person offering me that service I agreed to it and today September 8th the results were that my son was very positive and passed the test with the service provided at Curve Driving School. At the end of the day people can provide you a service 24/7 who you really need to use for your family's business.

I had a great experience working with Veloz Driving School to obtain my driver's license. From the moment I walk into the school to inquire about classes the lady was very helpful and clear when it came to the types of classes they offered and what would work best for me. Romeo is like no other teacher I have met before, he would pick me up at my house at 5 in the morning to take me to practice , and he would also record everything I do so I could keep watching it until the day of the test. Himalayn Driving School , has been great for me. I did 10 lessons with them, and every lesson went smooth. Today I took my road test, and passed it on first try. I couldn't have done it without Himalayan driving school, as they made me practice turning, parallel parking, 3 point turn, and all the other rules of the road. This is by far the best driving school in the city! The customer service is so good! So easy to make appointments and schedule lessons and car for road test. They have up to date cars and by far the best instructors! Easy pass after three lessons with them. I recommend them 1000%.

The Entire experience was A+ They were pleasant over the phone with my first initial call to the time I went into the office to set up my appointments. My instructor was amazing. I went to this school with prior driving experience, and had been to other schools, they don't compare! My instructor was patient and catered to my style of driving and molded into the proper ways to take the exam. From showing me on paper where i was making my mistakes to Passing my Road test. My instructions were easy to remember, and I say be patient with yourself anywhere you go. Learning takes time and its okay to give yourself grace I was so nervous, but all Its not easy trusting someplace you would never know the outcome of where you spend your money. Javier garcia was my instructor and he was absolutely amazing with teaching me how to pass my road test. 3 classes i dominated the test passed with flying colors. He took his time with explaining signs and road ways. He also did extra practices on my weaknesses until i perfected it . Everyone in there was polite and very hepful i would give them 100 stars if i could man thank you guys so much 💪🏾💪🏾

This was my second driving school. I didn’t pass the first road test from the other driving school, that’s why I considered them ‘cause of some good reviews, it was a great experience indeed. My instructor is Alberto, he’s professional, on-point, and really focused on making sure you feel confident behind the wheel. I only took 2 lessons to practice my parallel parking. Highly recommend this school to anyone looking to learn or brush up on their driving skills!

Johnny Scott was wonderful.. I didn’t want to take this class and was so irritated that I had too. It ended, and I would have stayed for another 5 if I could have. Great driving school! Easy to schedule lessons and very professional service…. I highly recommend this school.

They never followed up with me about one of my classes, so I ended up losing around $40. I had paid to use one of their vehicles for my first road test, which I failed. The second time, I went with a family member instead—no help from them—and I passed. I also had to teach myself how to park because they only show you a simple trick for the test if you pay an extra $100 to use one of their cars. Overall, I’d give them a 3-star rating, only because Alexandra at the front desk is very kind and reasonable, but the boss, Alan, has a bit of an attitude. The instructors themselves are fairly decent.

Thank you to the driving easy team and specific the instructor Lori for giving me lessons as well as giving me the confidence to even take the road test! This team is very professional but have a family oriented vibe towards everyone walking through their business! I highly recommend looking at their website and what they offer. I did 6 lessons for $150 and rental car for ten exam $115. It was all worth it. Although I didn’t pass, I would recommend taking them and utilizing their knowledge.

Alan,Rudy and Alexandra Helped me significantly with my learning to drive process. From the start to the finish they helped me from knowing nothing at all to getting my license. They’re great and wouldn't recommend any other driving school. Rudy is great instructor that is Clear and patient with his students. Can't believe how easy the process was made for the price that I paid. After searching for a driving school that would match my price range, I finally found Driving-Easy Driving School in the Bronx. I remember being quite nervous for my first lesson, never having have driven before in NYC. As soon as I stepped into their small office on Zerega Ave, I was welcomed by the always smiling, warm Alexandra, who always inquires on how the lesson went and how I feel about my driving skills, making sure that I feel comfortable. Now the instructors - Valentino (who sadly doesn't work there anymore), Christian and Rudy - were the calmest people I have ever seen. They allow mistakes, but make sure to calmly tell you what to do differently the next time, without making you feel bad about your driving skills, even if you are a beginner - quite the contrary: they give you the confidence that a driver in a city as crazy as NYC needs. Needless to say, I passed the road test with flying colors, and I couldn't have done it without the dedication of all the staff at Driving-Easy Driving School. I understand it most sound like I wrote this with AI, but when something/someone has given me so much, then I like to take my time to write as precisely as possible to show my thankfulness towards them. I couldn't recommend a better driving school than Driving Easy, already because of the angel-like people who work there, making sure not only that you pass your road test, but that you become a respectable driver (and person) on the road. I hope that it shines through here in this review, that I couldn't have been more happier with my choice of driving school. I thank God Google led me to this driving school. Monty, the instructor, is extraordinary at what he does. He is patient and makes you feel at ease behind the wheel. Gigi and Violet, his staff, provide excellent customer service skills. This driving school is worth every penny if you want your license to go there. I wish I could give more stars.

I highly recommend Perfect Park driving school. I did the 5 lesson package including the car for the driving test and passed my test first time. They are very professional from the day you start right through the lessons and then the day of the test. They give great advise and tips to help you pass your test. Perfect Park is the "perfect" place to take driving lessons. Monty, the chief instructor, is brilliant. He is easy-going, low-key, and super professional. I don't think there can be anyone better at putting learner drivers at their ease. If you make mistakes, which all learners do, he'll gently demonstrate where you've gone wrong and explain the right way to do things. He is patient, courteous and has a great sense of humor too! Monty and the other instructors, who are also excellent, have an in-depth knowledge of all the local test centers right down to the layout of the routes you will likely take and the individual testers themselves. On the day of your test they will talk through with you what to expect, and I found this to be extremely helpful. In addition to the instructors, Perfect Park's office assistants are also exceptionally professional, courteous and helpful. In short, I couldn't be happier with my experience at Perfect Park. I chose this driving school because it was conveniently located for me, and I’m glad I went in and restarted this journey. I say restarted because I took lessons with *another* driving school, and sadly I failed the road test. I knew I had to make the investment again, and that was okay since this school like many others, gives you options. I had already completed my 5 hour class online and they gladly accommodated. My instructor goes by Chiquita. Chiquita will tell it how it is and I appreciated that she kept it real with me. She pointed out my areas of growth as well as my strengths. She helped me gain the confidence I needed to be a safe driver and ultimately pass the road test! I think it was sweet that she checked up on me to see how I did. I knew I had made some mistakes, but Janet - also an instructor & drove another student and I to the road test - reassured me it would be okay, and it was! Webster Auto Driving School is amazing. All the ladies at the desk are kind and supportive. As a first time driver I am so thankful that this is the school I chose to learn all the skills needed to drive. My specific instructor was Ms. Annie. She is honestly the sweetest soul and is very patient. She is so encouraging and never doubted me along the way. Overall this school is great and very professional, I would recommend anyone here.

I chose this school because of all the amazing reviews. When I signed up, the lady at the front desk was super nice, and I specifically requested to have the same instructor for all my lessons since different teaching styles confuse me. She assured me I would get the same instructor every time. However, for my first lesson, they changed the scheduled time and asked me to come in 30 minutes before the school even opened. As a full-time student with a fixed schedule, it was inconvenient, but I adjusted and agreed. On the day of the first lesson, the instructor I was promised didn’t show up. Instead, someone else came in and started rushing me when I asked about the instructor I had requested. I had chosen her based on a friend’s recommendation and was assured she would be the one teaching me. The instructor who showed up was extremely rude, repeatedly asking, “Do you wanna go or not?” and wouldn’t even let me finish a sentence. When I finally got a chance to speak, I told him I hadn’t been informed about any change and would prefer to reschedule. He got angry and left. I called the office, and the same lady who had assured me of the schedule and instructor suddenly changed her stance and shut down the conversation by saying they’d refund me. I had asked her respectfully to reschedule with the agreed instructor and was open to adjusting based on availability, but she got upset that I didn’t just go ahead with the new instructor. I made it very clear from day one that I only wanted that specific instructor, and no one told me at sign-up that she had availability issues. Later, they claimed she often has such problems. If that’s the case, why wasn’t I told earlier? It feels like they just want people to sign up and then expect them to go along with whatever changes are made later—and if you don’t, they just refund you and shut down communication. I waited three weeks for my first lesson to match the instructor’s availability, only to be dismissed with, “We’ll refund you.” It’s incredibly unprofessional and disrespectful of my time. A friend of mine had a similar experience left a bad review and was asked to delete it or face consequences. That’s unacceptable. It explains why there are no visible bad reviews, they’re pressured to be removed. I just want people, especially those with busy schedules, to know the reality so they don’t waste their time like I did.

We went there to reinstate the TLC plate. The office is located in the same floor as the Uber office. We were walk-in and did not have any prior appointment. They gave us the information which was available on the website. Not much helpful I must admit.
