My daughter is 18. For the longest time she didn’t want to drive. This summer, she changed her mind. I knew I could teach her the basics, but I couldn’t get her out on the highway, and basically at some point she would tune me out. I began the search for a driving school that met all my requirements: great reviews, good communication, good value, clear costs upfront, and would deliver a confident kid with a drivers license. I am so glad that after calling the 4 top schools in Charlotte, I chose BCDS. From my first and second call with the office to my daughter’s driving time with Lisa, the communication was excellent, clear and mission complete. My daughter finished her time, got her DL and drove on every highway with confidence. I highly recommend Lisa Harden and her team, this was money well spent!

3 of our kids have completed drivers Ed through Top Notch, 2 of them had Mike and had a very positive experience. I have heard some moms ask about having a male as a driver for their teen girl and my daughter had a great experience with him. Our 12 year old will also be using Top Notch in the next 3.5 years!

My daughter was very anxious to to drive and did not want to be alone with an instructor. Top Notch allows a parent to ride along in the back with a signed waiver. This calmed my daughter's nerves. It was also very helpful as a parent. Once she had her first lesson and met Dolores, I no longer had to ride along. She was very comfortable with the instructor. Dolores is amazing. She is very clam, supportive, positive and patient. Her lessons were at the right pace for my daughter. Dolores prepared her well and my daughter passed her test the first time with a 100 percent! Thanks Top Notch and Dolores for a wonderful experience. We will definitely ask for Dolores when my son starts to learn to drive.

Mr. Mark Davis is incredibly professional and is an exceptional driving instructor. He is also very friendly and makes you feel comfortable and confident. He helped my son with everything he needed to know to pass his road test…the first try! We are so thankful for Mr. Mark.

My 19-year-old daughter had ordered a brand new mini Cooper which was soon to arrive in St Louis but she didn't yet have her driver's license. We practiced but I was nervous and we didn't practice enough. She tested once in downtown Springfield and failed so we called Bill at Springfield driving School and they were able to get us in quickly since we had A deadline with the new car coming in. My daughter took 4 hours of lessons over the course of several days and her confidence increased significantly. On the day of the test Bill took her downtown and ran through the course so she would be prepared and confident. My daughter passed the test with flying colors and the next day we went to St Louis to pick up her new car. Side note: Bill has a dash cam that faces out toward traffic and one that faces in toward himself and the driver. Allowing my daughter to ride in a car with someone we don't know maybe nervous but Bill is one of the least intimidating people on the planet.

I had a wonderful experience with this driving school! Dolores was my instructor, she is very kind and makes nice conversation but is still serious about her job, which is something I appreciate. Dolores made sure that I had the knowledge necessary for my driving test and instructed me in a way that will help me be less dependent on anyone in the passenger seat. I would also like to mention Mike, who was the instructor I had when Dolores was not available. Mike has a great sense of humor, his jokes made me laugh a lot and feel much more comfortable when going on the freeway for the first time. Overall a fantastic instructor and an amazing driving school! Would definitely recommend :)

My driving instructor Cindy, gave me all the tools to succeed on my drive test. I passed the first try and I definitely couldn’t have done it without her guidance and counsel. When I took my lessons she made me feel relaxed even though driving for the first time can be scary. When I made mistakes she corrected me firmly but in a fashion as to not fluster and upset me which I really appreciated. She also went out of the way to make herself available to me. She is kind, courteous, and very professional. She will definitely make sure you pass your test; first try!

I had a Very good experience taking my 5 hour course here. My certificate came in a couple of days and has everything needed to take my drivers test for my license. The class was easy to pay attention to and gave me the information I needed.

I completed a 5-hour online training to obtain a certificate - everything went great! The material was presented clearly and engagingly, and the instructor explained even complex topics in detail. I appreciated that the course was paced comfortably and included real-life driving examples. Technically everything worked smoothly, and the training was professionally organized. Incredibly gentle and patient!! Clean and fresh smelling car. Also off course decorated as a learners/student car so people can notice you are taking classes. Such a good instructor, had nice and easy tips to learn how to park, picked me up from my work place to start the class and I was capable of practice a little of everything, then drove home for the first time myself. Very happy with the experience, super recommended. He speaks some English but mostly Spanish so it was very comfortable and good to understand!

Hands down the best driving school! I went in not knowing how to parallel park or hardly park in general all and I was taught in one lesson!. I even got complimented on my road test for my parking! He is patient, encouraging and friendly so no need to be nervous during the lesson. He gives great tips and advice throughout the lesson that you’ll need for the test and for day to day driving. I recommend this place to anyone who is worried about their skills because you’ll definitely learn all you’ll need here. 1000/10!!!

Beach Driving Academy was awesome!!!! The communication and professionalism was exactly what we needed. My son struggled several times to pass the written test and by the time he got behind the wheel he had become fairly nervous and had a fairly high level of anxiety. The team at Beach driving academy helped with quickly illuminating any fears or anxiety he had and within a week he was on his way to getting his license. I would highly recommend them to anybody who is looking for the best!

I had an absolutely amazing experience getting driving lessons here. Wendy is amazing!!! She helped me so much to build my confidence up. I can't say enough nice things about the driving instructor, David. He did an amazing job with my granddaughter. But the owner/scheduler is a different story. I received one return phone call from her. Then after paying $600 for 10 hours of driving classes, I could not get her to answer emails, text or messages left on her phone. All I wanted was to know when we would receive her completion certificate or an explanation as to why my granddaughter wasn't receiving it. I left my number and my granddaughters registration number. Also be sure you get your driving instructors contact number. Every time slot she gave me was different than the time she gave the instructor. All 10 classes were completed. India if you had contacted me as requested numerous times, this review would not be here today. This has been going on since March 2024. Plenty of time to have resolved this situation.

I had an amazing experience taking this class. I learned a lot of new things about the road, the teacher was intuitive, the class was welcoming, it had a good atmosphere, and the teacher made the class interesting and fun for everyone. If anyone ever needs any hours I would recommend this place.

I highly recommend using this driving school for practice and for your actual test. My driving instructor Rasheen was very helpful, between communication and preparing me for my test date. Also, helped me get my test dates pretty quickly!

I would refer PA One way Driving school to everyone! They are professional from start to finish. My son got his license today and it was a weight lifted from my shoulders because PA One Way handle pretty much everything and put my mind at ease. They were able to provide a write up of what he needed to work on leading up to the test again super professional. The owner Arie is rude and does not know how to run a business. He was arguing with people that were there getting tested. When things got too heated he hid in a locked office leaving everything at a standstill. We were there for 5 hours for a drivers test!

We had a great experience using Overbeke. The sign up process was easy and the staff was friendly. Scheduling the in-cars was a breeze and they easily accommodated our busy schedule. They were always available to answer questions as they came up. I’m so grateful for such a smooth process!

Concerned mother here!! You can never be too careful these days. I signed my daughter up for driving lessons with Mr Brown. I asked her to take a picture of the vehicle because I don’t know you Mr Brown. He picked her up she took a PICTURE of the car. Mr Brown immediately got upset with her telling her that I give her bad advice, she needs to have me or her dad teach her and that he doesn’t like when people take pictures of him AND we need to “vet” the people that are going to teach her how to drive, that’s why he has cameras in the vehicle because people do bizarre things like this. Then he aggressively hit his brake, gets out and tells her to make sure she gets her belongings. WHAT?? Of course my child apologized to him, but she says he just kept belittling her! My daughter ended the session immediately because she no longer felt safe. I called to try to find out what happened, could not get a word in with this guy until I raised my voice at him! His apology was I have the right to cancel if I don’t feel safe. No problem Mr Brown. It’s 2025 we do what we need to do these days. Edited: Yes sir she is 23 with no experience, that’s why we called you…..Is that ..not …what ..you ..do? That’s a joke, please don’t answer. Please show your video because your comment has me thinking she’s not lying.

Two of my kids have now been through Driver's Ed with BTW and we couldn't be happier with the experience. I'm so glad that in person classes are offered at this location. We feel that there is a feeling of ownership for the child by attending in person and that the information is retained better in this way, as well. After all, driving is a huge responsibility and we want our kids to treat it that way. Both of my kids had Don as their in car driving instructor and that was a wonderful experience, as well. He gave constructive pointers to the kids while being kind and creating a comfortable environment to practice and learn. I recommend this place whenever anyone asks!

Mr. Vito is an excellent driving teacher. He is very professional and calm in the car. Students driving with Phase 2 Drivers Ed will feel well prepared for their final driving test. Mr. Vito works on maneuverability every lesson and provides students with helpful tips to ace the maneuverability portion of the test. I would recommend Phase 2 to anyone looking to complete their eight hours and pass their final driving exam.

Our experience with Inspired Driving Academy was great. Scheduling was easy around an athlete’s schedule, and my daughter learned a lot and is well prepared for her Driving test. All of the staff are professional, kind, and patient.

As a teenager trying to obtain his license, I was worried that in cars would be another thing to not look forward to. But as I browsed the options and heard feedback from peers, I decided to go with IDA. And I’m happy to say that through all 4 of my in car drives I learned many things and grew as a driver. No matter who you get as your instructor for the drive they all bring a very friendly attitude and I’ve enjoyed all my rides with them. To anybody who needs in car training I would highly recommend them!

Our experience with Inspired was great! They communicated well, worked with us when setting up appointments, and made our child feel at ease when nervous about driving. I'd previously gone to another driving school and was taught by family and never felt comfortable behind the wheel until Ancy. In just a week, I went from thinking I'd never drive to being able to commute to work everyday. Ancy is patient and has all the tips and tricks to make you a confident driver and pass your driving test. We practiced on the road and simulated the driving test at the DMV multiple times, which helped me pass without any points taken off. Ancy went above and beyond all of my expectations in terms of instruction, customer service, and professionalism and I'd highly recommend him to anyone!

Ancy is very helpful in the information he gives. He told me exactly how the driving exam would happen and what I had to know. I was given useful tips for parking and other maneuvers that I would have to do on the exam. I took my test and got a perfect score, so I'd say Ancy is a good choice as an instructor.

Paul was an excellent, patient , honest and very detailed instructor. I had a two hour lesson with him the day before my test. He had me drive to the DMV, showed me how to check in, and showed me where to park before and after the lesson. He then had me practice around the neighborhood where the test would be held. He basically did a mock test for me. On the day of my exam, I just followed his instructions and I passed my test!! I got my license on the first try on the 23rd! Dave is an amazing instructor. Before Dave, I been through two other schools before I got in contact with this school. On my first lesson with Dave, I learned a lot more than I did in 6 lessons with my other school! Dave taught me blind spots, driving safety, and parallel parking. I really appreciate Dave. I highly recommend not only the school, but also Dave.

I recently did all my in-cars as well as my driver’s ed. They were very easy to work with, and the classes were actually fun (something my friends who did it online didn’t experience). All the driving instructors are very nice and friendly, and they take you basically everywhere to get in all kinds of practice. The one thing I had problems with is that they are really busy much of the time (a great problem to have), so schedule your in-cars well in advance or you’ll not have a lot of options. Shoutout to instructors Adam and Kevin, they were both fantastic.

The classes are really fun, the teacher I had (Adam) made the classes really fun with Kahoot's and stuff along those lines. My in-car teacher was nice as well, he let me figure out what i was doing on my own and gave advice when I asked or when something was going to go wrong.

Excellent customer service. Had originally signed up with a company that went out of business and Bick's East really saved the day. Helped to expedite the process and get all of my daughter's classes done in a month, making sure her temps didn't expire! 10/10 would recommend! Plus my daughter loved her instructors and was sad to leave.

Lacey was an amazing instructor! Very communicative (responsive) and encouraging to our new driver. She took the time to ask what we wanted her to work on during their session and also let us know what to practice independently with our student driver in between sessions and our Z passed her driver's test first try!

Our family is so thankful for Mid America Academy of Driving, and especially instructor Brian! He turned our 15yo permitted driver into a much more confident driver in the eight months of instruction. We opted for all six lessons, and they taught our son so much about the rules of the road, common sense driving, and safety. We have verbally and on social media recommended the Academy to many friends. It’s worth the money! Our son was able to pass the driving test on his 16th birthday!

6 star! Extra star for Glen, I highly recommend Mid America Academy of Driving, they are flexible and friendly. Glen was a wonderful instructor , he even taught me highway driving and I drove on the highway for the very 1st time, but because of the way Glen teaches, I wasn't anxious at all and was confident even on the 1st drive! He did a mock test session fo me and helped me understand the expectation from the test before I went it for the actual test. The trick he taught for parallel parking was so helpful, I perfected it in just 3 tries! I cannot thank you enough for being such a patient and wonderful instructor Glen!

I cannot say enough good things about Glenn as s driving instructor!!! This is one of the best investments in my daughter and her education that I have ever made. Glenn gave driving lessons to my daughter last fall and she got a 100% on the driving exam and that was in a Hummer! She was thrilled with that and so were we. Not only did he cover al the basics, he also covers so much that we would never have thought of if we only taught her ourselves. Most importantly, he gave her confidence in every driving situation. We'll be using Mid-America Driving Acandemy again for our other 2 sons.

Amazing driving school. They helped teach my daughter how to drive. She passed the test at 100%. They are very professional yet very down to earth. Lessons include great tips for driving as well as parking. They do drivers test prep, highway driving and go over the grids for downtown St Louis among other driving lessons. I would highly recommend Mid America Driving School. Our daughter had extreme text anxiety and failed the exam multiple times prior to receiving lessons. We contacted Mid America upon recommendation of a family friend. Our daughter completed the various lessons with Glen and proudly passed her exam today with a great score, and her nerves were totally calm. I feel so much more confident sending her out on her own after spending time under Glen’s instruction.
