Robleto Josef ,is one of the best instructors I came across while learning driving. I took classes back in North Carolina with another instructor, the job done by that instructor was so bad that I lost confidence in driving but when I moved to Oregon and met Josef it was game-changing event for me. I own a new car and now I drive independently and fearless. All thanks to Josef and I really appreciate the efforts he does for each student. I highly recommend him to any student,his calm nature while teaching helps to gain lot of confidence.
We were very impressed with OEDS! I wanted my teenager to have some hours with someone other than his parents to make sure there were no holes in our instruction. He learned a lot and both Trini and Scott were great instructors, plus very patient and kind. Since he already knew the basics, they worked on fine tuning his skills and helping him prepare for his driving test. Josef makes scheduling easy and is very responsive and professional. Have already recommended them to other parents!
I came into the Oregon Elite Driving with a lot of anxiety, thinking I will never be able to drive. Everything, even easy maneuvers, stressed me out. But thankfully, Josef pointed us to the direction of Scott, an experienced and compassionate instructor who helped me through all my driving-related fears and taught me how to be a better driver behind the wheel. Driving with him felt like driving with an old friend and he taught me many things I couldn't have just learned in a book. After 10 lessons, I am very confident in my skill and can finally say I have no anxiety left on the road. I had such a great experience with Pacific Driver Education. Easily booked my test online, arrived early, and took my driving test. Skip was great. He was very calm, and we even had a laugh or two. 10/10 would recommend.

I would highly recommend doing your behind the wheel drivers test through pacific driver education rather than the dmv. super nice people!! My instructor was Skip and he was a very down to earth guy, he gave outstanding instructions during my portion of the test and explained at the end of the test how I can overall better my driving ability’s on the road even though I passed with little errors!! It was worth every penny to do my behind the wheel drivers test through this company.
I took my driving test here, I was super super nervous, but my tester, Skips, did a great job of making me feel comfortable. I passed first time! I felt super comfortable, it didn’t even feel like a test, it just felt like I was driving and someone was giving me directions. I was nervous about using a different car, but he told me how to use everything and gave super clear directions. It felt nicer than driving my own car! Would definitely recommend taking your test here! (especially if the DMV has no available appointments like it did whenI was trying to schedule my test.)
I took the driving test today and I was very nervous beforehand, but felt comfortable with my instructor, Hope. They’re not trying to trip you up with weird maneuvers or anything like that; the route was very smooth. I would definitely recommend testing here!

Pacific is a good place…I took the test twice and failed, but I passed it well on the third attempt. The examiner are respectful and know their work..they don’t show favoritism or treat anyone unfairly... When you make a mistake, they politely show you where you went wrong…They also allow you to ask questions whenever you don’t understand something, and they take plenty of time to explain things to you…God bless them always 🙏🏻
The instructor I got was super chill and welcoming. The test demonstrated the perfect skills you need to drive legally & prepared on the road. Also super convenient to schedule whatever day you want. No complaints.

Very professional and prompt. Was able to schedule and take the drive test in the same week. If I was to go through the DMV it would have been a 2 month wait. The vehicles provided were very new, clean, and roomy enough for my large frame (6'6" 250 lbs)
I finally decided it was time to get my license at age 50. I was really nervous! My instructor, Andrew immediately put me at ease. He was patient, friendly, and thorough. I took my test today after my 4th lesson and passed on the first try! Thanks Andrew!

I had an amazing experience as an adult driver wanting to practice before taking my license test. Mohamad was very relaxed, and provided me with great driving tips that made passing the test relatively stress free. Would absolutely recommend and say it’s worth the money spent.
Mohamed and his team are all wonderful instructors. As an adult new to driving, I had some worries and doubt in my driving abilities. However, after 6 hours of driving with this school my anxieties were gone. I was well prepared for my driving test and passed upon my first attempt. Thank you to this driving school for instilling a lifelong confidence in me on the road, and beyond. I recommend Horizon Driver Education especially to those who have a fear of driving, as the instructors really help calm your nerves. Prior to the lessons, I had very little to no driving skills. I really wanted to actually get on the road so I decided to seek out a driving school and Horizon Driver Ed gave me a great experience. During each lesson Instructor Kadir was very understanding, patient, and gave well instructions and driving tips. I was able to quickly get on the road and got to learn better driving techniques. Now I feel more confident in driving. Thank you Horizon Driver Education for your great service!
I learned to drive from Kadir and he was an incredible driving coach! At first, I had a lot of anxiety when getting onto the road and he really eased me into the experience. He was honest, but friendly and easy to get along with. He was also very patient and supported me through the driving process up to the minute before the exam! He has helpful tips and tricks to help sharpen drivers skills and gives special attention to areas of growth in order to really help you improve. I would 100% recommend the drivers school for ANYONE especially those with driving anxiety and it was the most affordable course from all the ones I researched!!!

Passed my drivers test here! My examiner was Steven. He was very kind and understanding.
ODEC was very professional and my driving instructor was calm and delivered instructions very well! At the end of the test she was helpful in letting me know the areas I need improvement on. Warning!! If you schedule a weekend appointment like I did you might be waiting outside the office for a few minutes, but don't worry! They know about you appointment and they will not forget you.
Rob Haley was the best instructor I had! He helped me with small talk before the testing, it made me feel at ease and he was very professional! Definitely recommending to family and close friends! Great customer service!
The instructors leave students outside alone when it is dark and stormy and transients circling. The communication is lacking and the drives are almost impossible to schedule. The classroom time is mostly breaks and students were instructed to lie to police if pulled over. Not worth the money. And poorly run.
Personally, I paid and failed my test twice. Several of the reason I failed the first time I did not agree with. The second time the tester intervened and cause an automatic fail. I also do not think I agree with that. I will not be paying them anymore money to test again and will try elsewhere. I really dont recommend trying to do a driver's test in downtown salem

So glad I chose 1st Learn to Drive to finally learn how to drive at 22. Most of my lessons were with Chad, who was an amazing teacher and great person to talk to as well. I could not recommend him enough! I also had one lesson with Victor and he was also a great instructor and a little more hands off. This experience changed me from someone too scared to learn how to drive to a confident driver that passed on the first try.
I had a great experience with 1st Learn To Drive! I started with almost no prior experience and poor self-confidence. My instructor, Scott, excellently explained the theory and was calm and understanding during all the drives I had with him. I passed my test after 3 2-hour lessons with Scott that occurred within 1.5 months. Lessons are 100% worth it! I've certainly became a more confident driver and am not anxious anymore about driving. I highly recommend Scott and 1st Learn To Drive!💓
Scott is a great teacher. He is calm, and clear, and confident. He is honest and prepares his students to pass the test and drive safely. I enjoyed learning from him and have gained much experience from our drives.
Not to be dramatic, but Scott literally changed my life. He is THE best teacher ever. He gives the best advice/feedback, will make you feel more comfortable and confident driving, and is overall amazing. I've learned so much from him, every lesson I could feel myself becoming more confident in my driving. I have always had a fear of driving and thought I would never be able to drive on the streets, let alone get my license. After our lessons, I've been able to confidently drive on highways (you would've never caught me on there before) and pass my driver's test with a 100. I am so incredibly thankful that I chose the Behind the Wheel series and booked with Scott. I hope everyone who's considering getting driving lessons books with him so you can see how great he is. I will forever be grateful to 1st Learn to Drive and to Scott for being the most amazing teacher, I CANNOT express my gratitude for him enough. 5/5 experience!

We took the icy conditions driving class (Car Control Course), and it was superb. The instructors were very good in all aspects if the class, from the classroom instructions to the in-vehicle application. Strongly recommend for everyone!

After not driving for 20 years and having to go back to school I was amazed at how much I learned. There’s been a lot of new laws enacted and a lot of new protections for the driver that I was unaware of. The staff were great and I got my license on the first attempt and it was definitely worth the money. This is by far a way better school than I went to 30 years ago. My best suggestion is if you go latch on to another student and practice with each other as much as you can on your pre-trip. Thanks again for all your help.

The first two drivers were pretty good. Vince was kind and patient in particular and supported me when I made mistakes. The third one however was named Rose and she picked me up late, spent several minutes pulling garbage, dishes, and personal items from the passenger seat. There was garbage on the floor by the pedals and all around the controls. She was horrible to drive with. She would give me directions far too late, then berate me for not following them. She kept getting mad at me for not knowing things I was there to learn. While my previous lessons went well, there were several times when I almost pulled over to quit outright because she was so unreasonable. Halfway through an intersection she'd announce she wanted me to turn, then yell about swerving and my turn signal, and spend the next few miles complaining about me. She'd say one thing and expect me to do another. When I asked direct questions, she would give vague or unsure answers, and always made sure to tell me this was something Ishould already know. Instead of answering direct questions, she'd say "oh, I wish you knew this, you really should've studied more". I don't think she understood I was here because I don't know everything. I thought we would go later, since she was late, but she dropped me off before the scheduled end of the session. Just make sure you request anyone but Rose. Driving with her was infuriating. I didn't get the time I paid for and I spent most of the drive just trying to not respond to her unreasonable and unfair comments. I really don't understand how she is a tutor there.
The classes were very straight forward and I became more confident in my driving while taking this class. Better than learning on your own and going through the DMV in my opinion. Jeremy was a great instructor, in class and out driving.
Jeremy was my instructor for this course. He is a good teacher, and while he is strict, he is strict for a good reason. Ive found that what he taught me sticks, and while the instructor Magic was the one to pass me on my final drive, I could recommend Jeremy enough. 9/10 teacher
Good course. Lesson teachers were thorough and very committed to producing good drivers. Drive instructors were also committed and gave useful feedback. A bit direct at times, but you have to be to properly teach this kind of thing. Had Jeremy as my drive instructor and Steve as the in class teacher, both were great at teaching. The one thing was that communicating with the office was pretty terrible. They almost never responded back to email, and call system gets automatically put into an email format, which is really annoying. But you basically don't ever need to talk to the office to go through the course, so it wasn't a giant problem. Overall, its a great program.
My driving lesson with Scott was amazing! He was very professional, and was on time to the lesson. He was patient with me and very attentive. He explained what would be expected of me on the upcoming skills test, and also helped ease my nervousness as he calmly guided me through the entire lesson! I'd definitely recommend enrolling with him for driving lessons!

Michael is a great, super nice & a very good instructor. He taught me how to drive in just 2 weeks, and now I have a license. He prepared me so well for the drive test, that I passed the test without making any mistake. I practiced in his car first and then in my own car. I recommend him to everyone especially new drivers. I was so hesitant to drive at first, but after just taking one class with him, I got so much confidence and courage. Thanks to him I know how to drive even better than some people I know.
Daughter just passed her test for her license after a few lessons with Mike. He taught with the patience we didnt have. Shopped around and his rates were the best. He will pick up and drop off, so that helped out with scheduling. Definitely recommend! Thanks Mike!

I took my son to the Wilsonville location and Kris was very professional, fair and helpful my son feel relaxed while taking his driving test. I would recommend this location and examiner! We were greeted on time and did not have to wait to begin.

ODEC has gone downhill since COVID. Don't use them for your teen's driving training. Our other older kids had no problems with their course, but now (6 years later) it's a train wreck. The price has gone up quite a bit but the communication is terrible, the drive lessons are super hard to get, and your drive instructor will just randomly not show up without any notification.
The first attempt I made was with ODEC in Beaverton with the examiner Devyn who explained everything very clearly and was very professional, unfortunately I did not pass it on that first attempt because I was very nervous, technical problems with the car because I really was not familiar with the functions of that car and also because of my carelessness in not seeing a "stop" on the road and well that caused the failure immediately. I decided to try again and luckily Devyn was my examiner again and as I mentioned before, she was very professional, precise with the instructions, kind, made me feel very safe although I was still some nervous hahahahaha but it was a very wonderful experience and I recommend Devyn 1000%.

We had a great experience with ODTI. Our instructor was Dave, and he went above and beyond training one of our children on the concepts of driving safety and skill development. For parents that desire outside assistance, and can afford the time and cost commitments, we would highly recommend Dave and ODTI.
Our son enjoyed the class and instructor. We saw a dramatic increase in knowledge and driving from this class. It is also nice to have someone else teach your kids on this topic, we highly recommend Oregon Driver Training Institute!

i made an appointment n canceled it the same day bc i wasn’t gonna be able to make it so i asked for a refund it’s been 4-5 days already but i got an email saying they refunded my money back but i changed my bank n they still charged me sooo i want my money back.
The location is fantastic! I was a bit nervous for my mom to take a test since she doesn’t speak English fluently, but the ladies at admin desk were so helpful and put her at ease. And guess what? She passed the test with flying colors!

I called to inquire information and It felt like they were not wanting to help or answer any questions. The lady Jen was rude and impatient. I asked her if she could take down my info and find some dates that work and she said “not at this very moment” and had a very poor tone. No person should talk like this to a potential customer. I do not recommend business with this company.
Elliott was an amazing driving teacher for my teenager. He’s a legend and still talked about 6 months later. Jen was nice and accommodating. Overall, I would recommend.
If you want to learn driving, ask Elliot to be your instructor! I have tried to learn driving on and off for a while and also tried some other driving schools in Portland area, but never felt right. It was only until I started practicing with Elliot weekly that I started to pick up the momentum and be comfortable with driving. I got my license after 6 lessons driving with Elliot. But the most important thing is that I now feel a lot more comfortable in driving than ever before. Elliot is an experienced driving instructor and has deep insights on what you need to master driving. Elliot makes driving very concrete. He has different color tags in the car, and has various little concrete techniques for me to understand lane positions, lane changes etc. Those were crucial for me to get started and overcome my fear. Over time, I no longer think about those tags much anymore, but it was absolutely useful at the beginning. Elliot is very calm. I am always pretty nervous about driving on the highway because of the speed. Elliot gives me confidence and reassures me that I am ready and I don’t need to worry. With his help, I have gotten more comfortable driving on high way. I will continue to practice with Elliot despite that I have gotten my license. It is such a good experience and I think I can always improve more. I highly recommend Elliot to you too!
Okay, I said I would write this review many moons ago and never got around to it but think about it at least twice a week so here goes nothing. I received lessons from Elliot in late 2021 and early 2022. I received my license in high school, however, never had my own vehicle and then lived in very walkable cities so driving wasn’t ever a necessity. Fast forward to a decade later, I was not very comfortable driving so I reached out to Westside Driving School after not being satisfied with another driving school in the area. I was scheduled with Elliot who is very calm, knowledgeable, and encouraging – the exact kind of person you want teaching you the rules of the road. I found the driving instruction so incredibly helpful and structured which I prefer. I don’t believe the instruction changes for licensed drivers vs. individuals practicing so you start from the bottom and build on that. If I excelled in some aspect, we’d move on to the next, so I didn’t feel like I was wasting my time on something I already had a handle on. After my first package of lessons concluded, I bought one more. I really attribute this to Elliot being a fantastic teacher who really taught me a lot and built up my confidence on the road. After each lesson we reviewed what I did well and what needed work. I also got notes emailed to me outlining what we practiced, tips and videos on certain maneuvers, etc. I really couldn’t recommend Elliot enough!
I found Jen to be extremely unprofessional and concerned with numbers rather than quality. She withheld my sons certificate for 3 weeks after him passing the class. She said was incapable of completing the certificates the week of passing, because she scheduled a vacation. She made him feel extremely uncomfortable during the drives. She is clearly incapable of handling as many students as she had during this session to which she admitted to via email. Don’t waste your money with this school. It’s not worth the hassle and time or wait
