Ken is the great driving teacher anyone could wish for. I was amazed to see how calm, patient, soft-spoken, encouraging, knowledgeable, and flexible he is- all that one needs to have during their learning period. He was able to train me in such a comfortable and an educative manner that i was able to learn necessary skills quickly and efficiently. The best experience of mine is that i got to use all the extraordinary tips and tricks from him to get my driving test done rightly! Ken was a great driving instructor for my 16 yo. He was patient and thorough and did a good job preparing him for his road test. He was also easy to communicate and schedule with, and we were able to get the driving requirements done within about six weeks. Thanks Ken!

Well I just finished today Thursday, June 22nd, 2017 and I will recommend this school to everyone. Daniel is the best instructor I've ever had. Great man and he has a good sense of humor and he does his job very well. This is the best place to get it done if you need your license. It's worth your time going here.
FIVE STARS FOR BAD SERVICE I was looking for a driving school and came cross "national Driving School" And I first read through all of the website so I was aware of what the course would be and there was a number on the website. I texted the number asking if I'd be able to meet in person with an instructor or employee to know if I'd follow through with their course. The Employee texted, " Meet me at 8pm" at 8:51pm. I texted another day asking if I'd be able to come in before 6pm, then I got a text saying they discourage in person visiting. So I asked my questions for the course and they replied later saying, " Those questions aren't necessary..." Not only is this a bad image of customer service but also that the instructor doesn't seem like they know what they're doing. All the video on the website seem like scripted and it seems very shady. DON'T RECOMMEND Go to revolution driving school across the street. I went there only took me a month to do all the drives and passed first try for my driver’s test.
I didn't get the courage to learn how to drive until I was 40 years old and luckily I had Daniel as my instructor... His patience and relaxed personality made everything so much easier for me who, my entire life, was terrified of driving. Daniel is the best instructor ever and now, my 16 year old is going to be learning from the best!
Had an amazing experience with National Driving School. Got my license within 2 weeks, despite first time driving experience. All thanks to Daniel and Cynthia for their continuous motivation and commendable driving lessons. They are very helpful and even took care of every other things like my work schedule and commute. I highly recommend this to everyone.
Daniel was patient with me even when I made mistakes on our drives, so it wasn't super stressful, and it was fun getting to know him and the other students. There were always about 3 students in the car so you could take breaks during the lessons. Also, we got practice in neighborhoods, busy streets, and the airport which I think is a good mix

Kevin is so awesome and funny. Completing my 6 hours of driving with him was such an amazing experience. He made jokes the whole time and it helped calm my nerves. My favorite part was him teaching me the most easiest way to parallel park and it worked. Reach out ti Kevin if you’re in need of getting your driver’s license

This driving school is really A+. The instructor is very good at teaching. He is very patient and helps everyone even if it is difficult for anyone to drive. I highly recommend coming here the price isn’t bad at all.
I Would give it a negative star, I'm saddened I have to mislead the public with a one star! Do not waste your Time or Money...as that is clearly all this place is after. Cannot speak English and clearly does not understand how to drive and SHOULD NOT be teaching or passing judgement on anyone. I have been driving for over 40 years, I drive all day long for a living! I only went here to expedite the process...needless to say I walked out less the $$$ and without a license because this guy failed me...clearly just about making $$$ they want you to come back. He Blatantly lied saying I didn't signal or check a blind spot, etc etc....I slowed to 20mph in a 25 mph area because there was a small child...he screamed that I wasn't doing the speed limit. (i pointed out the fact) I would be very afraid if this guy was driving in my neighborhood. Any 5 star ratings are clearly from his own business. Ye be WARNED!!!

I took the road test here. Everything was on time and went smoothly. Before we started the test, the instructor explained the road test to me, made sure I understood everything, and encouraged me to ask questions if anything was unclear. He was very calm and encouraging. Overall, a great experience!
This is a fast and reliable place to go for driving. The instructor makes it very comfortable and is very flexible with any schedule changes.

I had a lot of anxiety around driving due to a tragic accident. Daoud helped me through it with patience and practice. Could not recommend more best instructor in the valley.
This is the best driving school!!! I recommend going here only!!! I passed the road test on the first try at this school. (My driving experience is 20 years) But I couldn't pass the road test at another school, which just took money from me despite my driving skills.
Absolutely fantastic instructor. Both of my kids went through for their driving tests and the time and detail spent were appreciated. My anxious child didn’t pass the first time and they were encouraging and coached through the miss. They were excited to try again with the same instructor after the grace period and passed. It showed that they were a true teacher for them to be willing to try again with the same instructor. We look forward to recommending this company.
This is the second drive test I had to do in the past few months. The first one I did was with Drive Right in Midvale. I have anxiety issues, and I'm on social security disability because of it, so I have a difficult time being around people. The lady at Drive Right was grumpy, and had a angry vibe to her, so it made the whole thing uncomfortable and nerve racking. The guy at Salt Lake International Driving school, Daud, was very helpful, had a calm demeanor and went over everything we would be doing during the test and gave me some examples of what he was expecting, and I passed. I was so full of anxiety and was honestly terrified, but he was nice so that made all the difference in the world. I would definitely recommend this Driving school to anyone that wants a nice and calm person to do the Driving test with.
This is a great place to take the driver's test! If you are looking for a calm instructor that is very helpful come to this place. He's also very responsive when we were scheduling the drive.

Kylie really came through for us when the instructor for the Vernal area wasn't available. She came out to Vernal to do the driving sessions for my son herself! He enjoyed them and learned a lot! He also did really well with the content from the online course, despite having to redo a few of the modules because of some technical difficulties.
Our experience with Wright Driving School has been great! They are very professional, efficient and helpful.
We have put 3 sons through drivers Ed with Wright, one via the online course and 2 via the live class. We liked live better because of the hurry-up-and-get-it-done aspect, but both were great. Driving sessions were SOOOOO easy to schedule and conveniently located for anywhere in the Salt Lake Valley. Staff was very responsive to text line. Road test that they recommended was much less picky and stressful than other road test agencies we tried, though you do have to schedule the road test a couple weeks in advance, which is why we tried other agencies in the first place. My boys are good, safe drivers, well versed in the rules of the road and in techniques, although obviously that mostly depends on having a good parent teacher and those 40 hours of parent instruction. There’s no substitute for hands-on practice with Mom or Dad coaching, so don’t abdicate on your own responsibility to instruct your son/daughter. But I highly recommend Wright to get the administrative part of driver ed taken care of in the most convenient, least expensive way.
I drove with the Shook’s and it was a great experience, they were really good instructors, and I really appreciate their patience with me and other drivers.

This is an outstanding’ school. The staff here are quality people with the know how to work with all kinds of individuals. In my case, I came into this school with what could only be described as a mild case of “big truck – PTSD”. The professionals here at Apex helped me to resolve this early on, and guided me through the program all the rest of the way. The problem I was having was not that I couldn’t drive, the fact is, that I already drive my own car for service platforms such as Uber and Ruck and have a clean driving record. The difficulty I was having with the big trucks, however, was that previously I had attended another CDL trucking school, which I will not name, and at that school the program was confined within a rigid timeframe that did not allow recovery time for things like; illness, or for personal priorities, or study fatigue, or things like that. The class schedule at that place consisted of just a few weeks of long 8hr days of class time, accompanied by a large volume of online homework that had to be completed by certain dates. As a result, by the time we were behind the wheel for our drive training I was so wiped out from study fatigue and lack of sleep that I felt like I was on the verge of committing some, for sure, mental misstep and getting us into a traffic accident. At that point, I told the instructor there that I was pulling myself from behind the wheel. Let me emphasize, “that” was at “that” school!!! Now, fast forward to the day when I walked through the door at Apex Trucking School. One of the first things I learned was that they don’t run their school like that place I had just come from. They want you to take sick days off; they want you to take care of personal priorities; they want you to recover from study fatigue and anything else that would not be conducive to a good learning environment. To get to the point here, when they first started putting me behind the wheel of their trucks, one of the first things they did was help me get over my fear. It was the fear I had had of being in such a large vehicle and being responsible for the safety of other drivers around me. Even though I was no longer fatigued and traumatized like were the conditions at that other school, I still had some of those same anxieties that had to be worked out. Bryan and Hayden were instrumental in helping me achieve that. On the other side, Dallin also helped me immensely by keeping me on my toes when necessary, and not letting me slip into complacency, which in my opinion, could be hazardous or problematic if the truck were not being driven correctly. To make a long story short, these guys really know their business. By the time I was on my last few training drives through the city, Haden said I was handling the truck like a pro. Now I have a CDL and I have these guys and everyone else at Apex to thank for it. Special thanks also to: Arilyn, Makenzie, Shea, and Junji, Who’s roles also played an important part in my success there at Apex.
This school was the craziest yet best driving school I've been to. Learning from all the different instructors was a great experience. Wyatt was calm and patient with me and let me drive. He taught me so many tricks that helped pass my test with flying colors! He gave the testing experience so i knew how to stay calm. Brian wants you to pass it the first time with great instructions. He’s very thorough. Matt helped me come up with words to remember the pre trip with all the parts I had a hard time remembering. Britney helped teach me to speed up with the pre trip after i had all the terminology. Richard was great at helping get me on the schedule and boosting my confidence. I came to Apex for my 3rd party testing. Alex was amazing, helped me perfect the one backing maneuver I was struggling with. I passed my testing and was able to get my Class A combination CDL license the same day I passed. The teaching from Alex was impressive and thorough. I would have had multiple retests without his help to get me ready for my backing maneuvers. Parallel parking to be specific. Big should out to him and his team. I was pleased to hear how Alex and his staff are all from the industry, not just some pencil pushers like other schools and testing facilities. Knowing the people training you and testing you have real world experience in the field makes every bit of difference.
Apex Trucking has been absolutely fantastic to work with. The staff here has been very patient with me (which I find very important when it comes to teaching) and gave me an ample amount of time to self-study which is how I learn best. It's hard to find a school that had a general outline of your day-to-day activities but still allowed you to have some personal time both outside with the trucks and inside the class to read on your own. I was fortunate enough to be the first GI BILL student here at this school since they recently were certified by the federal government. The process went smoothly for me and there was no issue with either them receiving the tuition from the government or me having the BAH and book stipend processed. I firmly believe in honest reviews, and so along with that, I feel the equipment, while still functional, could be more updated. I do realize when teaching people who have never driven a semi-truck before in their lives that you don't want to hand over brand-new expensive equipment to trainees, so prospective students need to understand older trucks is what most trucking schools use. Keep in mind though; you may have a school that has newer equipment, but what good is it if you hardly get any time behind the wheel to train? Or you're yelled at by aggressive and impatient teachers, or taught incorrectly by people with no experience? While I wouldn't have minded newer trucks, the one-on-one time and attention I received from people who actually knew their stuff was far, far more valuable than any other factor. Lastly the facility was a small suite and was a little cramped with so many students (especially considering their quickly growing class sizes) but in the coming weeks they will be moving to a nicer area i'm told, so that should resolved that issue. Overall, this is a great school to choose, and I felt like I really learned not just the minimum to get by, but a lot more that better prepared me for any future job I would have as a driver. They focus a lot on safety, which is paramount to me. So do what I did; stop reading about different schools, choose Apex, and start earning that money!
The training I am receiving is hands on and in-depth. The instructors are always available to assist me with answers to my questions, no matter how small the question may seem. I would recommend APEX CDL Training to any individual looking to further their career and driving skills. 100% satisfaction. I successfully passed my CDL testing today. This would not have been possible, but for the excellent staff at APEX and their attention to proper hands on training and instruction. I will forever be grateful to them and I HIGHLY recommend any serious individual to take the opportunity and utilize APEX in their advancement into the Trucking industry. Thank you to the staff at APEX!!!!

A-1 Driving School is a great place to learn how to drive. I definitely recommend going to this school. I had not much of experience of driving when I started practicing here, but my driving skill improved so much, and I was really confident to drive after taking just a few lessons from Jackie Leung. He cares and helps his students, and he knows how students can improve their driving skills effectively. He is an amazing instructor!
Jackie is an amazing instructor who helped me acquire my license. His continual effort in helping me learn the rules about the road was very helpful. Especially in explaining 3 point turning and parking, he clarified many misconceptions and made sure I learned exactly how to pass the road test. Took forever to get drives needed. When I did get the drives the instructor Kelly was 20 minutes late. And I was left in the half dark building alone. No one else was in the building. Once she arrived she said said we can add on the twenty minutes to make up for her being late I agreed to do so. She gave me to my twenty minutes back but somehow managed to still bring me back to the office 10 minutes after our session should’ve ended. She made me feel dumb and seemed like she had no patience for me. You could tell she would get bothered when I couldn’t get things down the first or second try or when I didn’t understand something her body language would tell me she was bothered because she would let out big sighs, roll her eyes, or say passive aggressive things. The other instructor I got was cool but didn’t really teach me anything. I got him for my first and last drive and on the last drive he finally asked me if there was anything I wanted to work on. I told him yes, parallel parking. We went through the whole drive just mindlessly driving around and he never showed me what I actually wanted to learn. Honestly didn’t learn anything with the drives only with the online portion. Felt like a waste of money. The car I was in smelled bad to.
I can’t tell you how much I like this place. The teacher Jackie is just great, he really knows his stuff, his teaching methods are really good, he helped me correct my bad habits, and he took me through all the maneuvers with great detail. And I am super confident for my road test now. I would really recommend this place to anyone but make sure you get Jackie as your instructor. 😁

I went here for a driving test and the gentleman was very helpful throughout the whole process. He lets you know beforehand what he is looking for during the test and also gives you a heads up on your head checks. Overall it was a good experience, I would highly recommend!
The Utah DMV issued a license to me, and then sent me a letter in the mail telling me I needed to pass a driving test. They were not able to accommodate a driving test for three months. I reached out to A Plus driving school who was able to get me in for a test same day. The entire process took lesson 30 minutes, excellent instructor very efficient. I am one very happy customer. Thank you very much A Plus driving.

My husband went to take his road test and was told he failed. The instructor told me that he spoke our language , when we got there he did not. He has a thick accent which is ok, but when they lie to you about what languages they speak and then they have an accent that is hard to understand. He wanted my husband to not even use his mirrors, only wanted to do a full head check - when he did but was marked as no head check at all. It was $60 cash and I was immediately asked for payment. I will look for another school that explains things and we are able to understand. Mi esposo fue hacer su prueba de manejo y el señor lo marcó que no pasó. Cuando llame a preguntar sobre la prueba de manejo me dijo que hablaba español, y no es verdad. Tiene un acento muy marcado en inglés y no habla español. No quería que mi esposo usara los espejos, que solamente volteara completamente. Que para estacionarse paralelo no usara los espejos tampoco. Aunque el volteaba a ver se le marcó que nunca volteó. Pagamos $60 cash y nos pidió el pago inmediatamente. No volvemos a regresar a esa escuela, voy a buscar donde podamos entenderles.

TLDR This place does truly terrible business and steals your money. I signed my child up for the quick driver's ed course ($390) needing her to be done by a very specific date. When I realized the course didn't start until a week after it needed to be completed, I reached out via email for a refund. This all happened within less than 24 hours. They didn't respond for a couple of days so I called in. I was then told they wouldn't issue a refund. Why? The service paid for would not be provided and the request was made before the funds would even post to their account. And nowhere on their website does it mention a refund policy when signing up. They told me they would do the road test which is a $50 service and some private lessons but not issue a refund. I live in Sandy - I'm not driving to Orem for private lessons. When I setup the road test, they asked me to make payment for it while in the office - Seriously!? I already paid this company close to 800% the going rate of the road test. They failed her on the road test for stops. I've been driving with her for months - I know how she drives and it's better than most adults in Utah. It was an absolutely bogus fail in an attempt to get more money. When she did the road test the next day with another company, they didn't mark her for anything wrong. Why on Earth any business would not issue a refund for services or goods not provided is beyond me but it's entirely shady.

Overall, the school is good. Hugo and Victor are excellent at their jobs. But the receptionist, Gia, is rude, mean, and unpleasant. She's not friendly at all. And she leaves her desk alone for more than 30 minutes. I had to wait for information.

Headache after headache after headache. Disorganized, complicated scheduling system. We had a good experience with our first driver. I don't think they have figured out how to do things in the COVID era. Too bad. We will never be back. We have 3 more drivers that we will take elsewhere.
10/10 experience! zeb was really nice and calm and patient with me and helped me learn how to parallel park with easy tips on how to do so.

oh my goodness the west jordan A1 drivers school helped me so much! they were really nice and patient with me. i got my permit and license in less than two months. i recommend!!!!!!
Loved it!!! The people in the office were extremely accommodating, and I absolutely loved the instructor, Carl. My daughter would come home with so much confidence and he made parallel parking a breeze for her. He is an amazing instructor and I would definitely recommend him to anyone.

I had a very good experience I would highly recommend. The guy was really nice and patient. explained everything very well made me feel comfortable.
Just did my road test here and passed, it is definitely one of the best decisions I have made with all the nervousness I had (I don’t have family to teach me, don’t have a car, and don’t want to bother my friends, it was so hard), I should have done my driving education here too. The instructor was super kind, professional, understanding, accommodating, and organized. He gave clear guidance and told me exactly what we needed to do as well as spending time to go over what specifically I can improve on. 100% recommend
Lets start out from the beginning! I got into the car and I wasn’t quite sure how to move the seat back and when i asked for help he said “ its not that hard”! I was trying to be in a position mood and he just completely brought that down! He claimed i wasnt at the stop sign long enough! Then he said i went when i shouldn’t have even though there wasnt any cars! He failed me and it was just unnecessary! I went to another driving place to do my road test and i paid nearly $15 less! I had no problem passing my test at the other place! I would not recommend this place at all!
This place was super easy to schedule a road test. It's was just online super clear instructions and everything. I had li chen he was super nice and chill. We didnt spend super long on tthe actual road and pulled into a street and it was just a super comfortable experience. I 100 percent recommend you take your road test here if the dmv is totally filled!!!
Highly recommended for a road test. The instructor is kind and considerate. Gave advices before and after the test. Gave clear instructions during the drive.

Working with Independent Driving School was great! They responded to texts in a timely manner and were able to get our rode test done quickly. They informed us that if we had chosen them for our school experience and drive time, that they pick up and drop off!! Wow what a service! That would have been amazing! Save yourself some time and gas and use Independent Driving School for yourself or your teenager!
I loved learning to drive here! Especially thanks to my instructor Jackie! Jackie was very patient and very kind as he taught me. And I was able to learn without feeling overwhelmed with stress. He helped explain things very well so I understood what I did wrong, why it was important to not make that mistake, and how to fix it. I feel like I learned a lot, and am fully prepared to take my test! Thanks Jackie!! 😊
First of all, I was hoping to obtain a road test appointment here because they claim to provide vehicles for the test, and the location is next to a bus stop. However, after repeatedly calling and texting them (many times leaving voicemails), they still haven't gotten back to me to schedule an appointment. The only option to contact them is through a phone number and calling and texting only that phone number. There is no way to email them, or even register for a test through a form on their website. Secondly, all other driving schools charge around $50 for a scheduled in-advance road test. At Independent Driving, they charge $70 and claim that you're saving $10 from their "original" $80 fee. The price isn't worth the months that are wasted trying to schedule an appointment, even though they provide a vehicle for the test. If you're hoping to obtain your driver's license in less than a couple of months, do not attempt to schedule a road test appointment here. If you really do want to take a road test here, no matter what requirements you still have to complete, schedule an appointment as soon as you obtain your learner's permit.
Easy to schedule. Clean office and clean bathrooms. I used their car for my test. Their car was new and drove very smoothly. The tester was very kind and professional. 100% recommend

They passed me even though I missed more than I needed to in order to pass. I was very nervous, but they were patient and made sure I knew what they were going to grade the road test on. It was super easy and quick - 10/10!

They were very very nice, I am always going to suggest them to my friends and family. They are focused more on you getting your license rather than money.
Great experience with the observations so far. I am having trouble getting any drive times. I need 3 of them but there are never any available. Not sure how to get these completed!

Scheduling drive time with this school is impossible, especially if you have anything else going on in your life other than learning to drive. This school greedily overbooks their courses so that, when it comes time to schedule drive time, slots are filled almost immediately. They do not hire enough staff to accommodate their enrollment and leave the customer to fight in the hunger games to try and secure slots they’ve already paid for. Also, in my experience, they never answer the phone, so leaving a message and waiting for a call back is how they run their business. Customers and their experience is not this company’s priority. Buyer beware!
Sorry to say they don’t deserve 1 star also, I came all away from California to Utah but my bad luck I wasted money, after 1 week stay in a hotel snowfalls cancel the appointment and then I failed as a 3 months learning from school. They just earning money 1 time fail is 300$ nice trick for earning money, if you pay money you’ll pass but I m not gonna pay any money because at least I have knowledge and self confidence I’ll pass from other Dmv, I really wasted my very important time here days never come back

The teachers are hit or miss. There are some good ones. The schedule do fill up quickly so it is not easy to find instructors. The worse thing is their online course work. The lessons are broken down into too many small segments so it takes unnecessary long to go through them and too many clicks by hand. The lessons keep repeating the same content. I’d rather see shorter content and replay the same lesson than meandering through endless number of lessons, some useful and some are not. Some are literally two sentences. Worse, between segments, an obnoxious tone is played repeatedly. It is constantly ringing in my head. It is terrible. I try to give positive vibe I review but this tune that is played repeatedly is really too much. It is not professional and the lesson needs to be edited down to reduce duplication and blank air times with no content, and to reduce the need for me to click on my computer
My son has been trying to get his driving portion done for MONTHS we are unable to schedule anything. They said we have a year to get it done and the staff are ridiculous and rude. Do not pay money to these people they are thief's!

Horrible. You have to schedule the drives through their website at 10am on Wednesdays. I have been on their website for 8 weeks at exactly 10am and have not been able to get a single drive scheduled at any time. I have spoken with them numerous times and they are very kind on the phone but very unhelpful. I have been on the waiting list for EVERY location and none have been available. They will refund me the driving portion of the bundle but are still charging me $150 for the online portion. I would not have signed up with them if I knew I could only do the online portion. Now, I will only get a $20 discount with Wright Driving School for having completed the online portion or I will need to pay the full fee for going with the public school. This has been a huge wast of my time, stressful, and very expensive for what we got.
It really helped me since I was anxious. Very awesome instructors, I highly recommend A-1.

She will fail you the first time so you come back and pay her another $45 i have been driving since 6 years now and she failed me on head checks the first time?!?! Half of time i did not understand what she was saying and while driving she jammed on the brake on her side(on an empty road!!) And on top of all that she was not wearing a seat belt. Will not recommend
She is the worst drive instructor on this planet. In it for the money! Never go to her! Told me I did great then failed me! Just wants more money! She said in the phone all sassy “you really think you are going to pass”
