Great school with a lot of driving time. You get multiple chances per week to drive around Montgomery, and you can practice your backing as much as you want. Passed my test on the first try.
AGAPE is great place to get your CDL. My instructor was Mr Rudolph, he was very patient with everyone , very profesional and always available to answer questions . The behind the wheel training was awesome, they will teach you skills that take time to learn like backing a 53 foot trailer, how to shift and double clutch . I got to practice driving in different conditions, which helped me feel confident and prepared for my CDL license test. I can honestly say that I really enjoyed my training experience at AGAPE and I highly recommend to anyone in Montgomery area looking to be a CDL driver.
Very great school with wonderful instructors. My experience at Agapè was everything I looked forward to it being. Lots of hands on training from day 1 to test day. I highly recommend considering Agapè as a candidate to anyone.
I just finished up the trucking instruction here about a month ago. Roderick is one of the best instructors I have worked with. He is extremely patient and he is OK with you making mistakes and doesn’t get frustrated like a lot of other instructors most likely would. I think God has given him the Spirit of peace and calmness that a lot of teachers in general don’t have.
I registered for AGAPE CDL TRAINING in the middle of November last year, passed on December 16th, and now I am driving a trailer truck, The passionate teaching and help of the academy director was a great help to me, I am korean, so my English is not good, but he taught me with patience, I am so thankful, I highly recommend AGAPE CDL TRAINING academy. They will give you a gift of acceptance.

As a beginner Trucker, Entry Level Training Academy is by far one of the best choices i could have made in picking a school that genuinely cares about their students and wants to see them succeed in the trucking industry. Mr. Will & Mr. Jon take pride in teaching and that's what we need on the road. Guaranteed to learn that Pre-trip & road skills at ELT Academy.
If you do not have a Mr.Jon and Mr.Will teach you, you are doing a disservice to yourself. 10 out 10 I highly recommend and I have been to 3 schools best school and teachers by far. They are more than flexible and available to help you not just taking money. You will pick up knowledge and understanding from both teachers and if you listen and take your time, you will pass with ease. These men are here to work with you and make sure you are ready even including how to pace yourself and scheduling your test with enough time for you to gain knowledge without rushing you. Get these two and this school if you are ready you guaranteed a license if you listen.
If you’re looking to get your CDL’s this is the place to go! From Manual’s to Automatic’s they’ve got you covered! Great people and even better trainers! Very reliable and flexible to meet your schedule as well! Received my Class A’s with no restrictions! Couldn’t have accomplished it without them! - Scott Peterson
Great Experience great people….they take their time to teach you with no problems if you really wanna invest in yourself and get your Cdl go to entry level training academy with John and Will you will pass your 1st time

Doug and all the trainers here at roadmaster Birmingham go above and beyond to teach and train each student the skills they will need to be successful in obtaining there the commercial drivers license. Can't thank you guys enough. Great job guys keep up the good work.
Where do I begin, I have had the best experience with RoadMaster Driving School. They have the best instructors I want to thank Zee for all her help and encouraging me to keep pushing and not giving up. She is an amazing instructor she patient and very professional. I could not have asked for a better instructor. I also want to thank Doug this man is the GOAT He never gave up on me even when I wanted to give up on myself. I remember when I told him that I was quitting because I could not get the 90, he let me vent and when I was done he said now get your butt back out there and knock that 90 out. I can't forget Matt he was very informative with everything that we needed to know prior to going out on the paid with Zee and Doug. I will always remember what he said in regards to getting our CDL's... When you get them they don't have any test scores on them, so don't get all in a pickle if your scores are not perfect just do your best and you will be fine. James I thank you as well for not listening to me when I stormed in your office and said that's it I'm done and I'm not coming back. You just sat there and when I was finished you said Bev you got this, just get out your head and do what you know to do. I also that you for taking out the time to come out to help me with that 90. Scott I can't forget about you, you were an awesome road instructor, very patient and calm. Thank you for all your help. Last but certainly not least Crystal even though I didn't have the pleasure of having you as a PTI instructor you gave me some very good pointers about being a lady trucker. I just love all of you guys from the bottom of my heart. ROADMASTER/ BESSEMER AL. YOU ROCK!!!!!
I definitely learned a lot and loved the experience. The instructors all do their jobs very well teaching you everything they know about trucking. They also made it a lot of fun. My favorite was Doug...he made it very clear what to do and how to do it and you can tell he cares about teaching you he also works very hard. I liked all of the instructors though they all have they're own ways of teaching and it was great for the learning experience having different points of view. I will definitely tell whoever is interested in a career over the road to go to Roadmaster!!!
Best school in my opinion every instructor make sure you know what you doing before they pass you on and will work with you individually if your still having trouble highly recommend going to Roadmaster in Birmingham
Great classroom very educational , outside training time was ok would definitely recommend finding someplace with actual pavement to train on beforehand.Lots of new drivers dig ruts on the alley dock and there’s no way to smooth out the 3 foots ruts.instructors teaching maneuvers are great and teach multiple different ways to do the maneuvers and are very helpful and patient .

Matt is a amazing driving instructor. I haven't pratice driving in a long time and when I tell you that he you will learn how to with him. You will learn, he has a lot of experience.
I started my lessons in February and got my license by early March. This is a great school. My driving instructor was a amazing and was very open my learning style. I’ll never forget this experience. This school helped me achieved something I’ve always wanted to cross off my list. If you’re reading this, this is your sign to book your classes now<3
I recommend choosing literally any driving school besides this one. After confirming an appointment, they don't show up because their instructor says it's too far, but they also don't communicate that at all so we were left waiting and had to call them ourselves several times because it went to their full voicemail inbox. After finally getting through, their director Juwan Smith took absolutely no accountability for the lack of communication and did nothing to make it right besides reschedule. He was rude, unprofessional, and argumentative. He also made a point of saying that he doesn't think their cancelation is a valid reason for me to get my money back, and that their policy allows them to do this. Beware that if they cancel on you, they will unprofessionally force you to reschedule and do nothing that any reputable company would to take responsibility. There are way more legitimate driving schools to go to besides this one! Also, check out the other 1 star reviews, this isn't the first time they canceled and fight to give the money back.
We had a very good experience with Ms. Reese and All N 1 Driving School. My daughter really felt at ease with Ms. Reese. I liked Ms. Reese's very positive attitude. The car used can be taken control of by the instructor - which I liked. Overall I would recommend All N 1 driving school, it was a blessing to us.
I left a good review for the first lesson, because I did not really get to practice driving and was not familiar with my instructor’s teaching style. However, this became clear during the second lesson. I had a horrible experience. The car was not clean and it smelled like cigarette smoke. Anthony was vaping when he got angry without rolling down the windows. He was looking down at his phone a lot. During my first lesson, he stated that I was not going to learn unless we went into highway 280, so I asked him if we could do this during the second lesson. He was not helpful while we were in 280. After we came to a stop out of the highway, he took over. Then, he started raising his voice and complaining. When he did this, it was in such an angry tone that it made me uncomfortable and I asked if I could go use the restroom to take a break. He told me I was not following the rules of the road, and that he was going to stop the lesson because his back was hurting him.

160 Driving Academy in Birmingham has been a great school to attend. I finished on time and knew on test day that I was confident and prepared. James and Whitney were very helpful in guiding me and teaching me my skills on the yard and on the road. I was able to complete my examination on the first try and that’s is thanks to you! Vicky in the office was very helpful and answering all of my questions and advocating for me throughout the process. I highly recommend 160 drive academy to anyone looking to start their journey as a CDL driver. Thank you to everyone in Birmingham who was a part in getting me through the class.
James & Whitney were great instructors! This school is perfect and everything is fair!
I’ve had a long journey with 160 I started back in July 2022 they helped me all the way up into my test week which was the same week I had a bad car accident, which led me to being out a couple months. I returned in January 2023 & I’ve worked hard & studied hard since my return. I wanna thank all the instructors for taking their time with me and helping me but I want to shout out my favorite instructor who had me since day 1 & was their for me since my return back to 160 after my accident “MRS.DIANE”, they are by far some of the most genuine, funny, & helpful folks you will ever meet. THANK YOU 160!
Very good experienced instructors. They are motivational, and are very supportive. They would work with you when you need it. Failure is not an option to these instructors.
I have a friend who was very dedicated but had some unforeseen situations come up, and they were unwilling to communicate properly and work through the issues. They were very unprofessional about how they handled the situation! They did not treat everyone in the program with the same respect and showed favoritism toward the white men in the program. There were several instances that made it clear they were harsher in the black people in the program. Overall they were rude, unprofessional and demonstrated prejudice!

If you are looking for a reliable and experienced instructor without being expensive then this is the place for you to go. Mr. Thompson has many years of experience and is very patient and easy to learn with. I was able to pass both my written and driving test with flying colors with Mr. Thompsons teaching. This place is a joke. You literally can’t ask a question on the phone or in person without your ticket; and when you’re on the phone with the ticket, the staff tells you that you have to come in to see the class times. When I arrived, some hateful old man in his 80s was at the front desk. I asked if they already had classes scheduled and he said “yeah” I then asked him what days and he replied “I’m not telling you! You don’t even have your ticket!” Must be some real top secret information that they can’t even tell you the price or course dates without the citation, like anyone would go just for fun. Most places would offer the course online but not backwoods Mobile. I feel sorry for the people who has to deal with that hateful soul. And I pray he isn’t an instructor.
The one thing I can say is the ASI director is a very pleasant gentleman who was quick to fix a very bad situation. First off; I received my first speeding ticket and I needed to sign up for traffic school. I called with no idea of how ASI or traffic school worked and asked if they had any Saturday classes; they did. I work all day Friday's so the Saturday 8 am class was perfect. After I arrived there and the gentleman in the class called the names out, I realized my name wasn't called. When I asked him about this he was very kind and told me to come pick up my certificate of completion first thing Monday. I was confused, but I assumed it was a simple error. When I went up there Monday and explained what happened, the two kind ladies at the front went to their "supervisor" or whatever in a desk behind the glass in the front. I could see everything that was being said and her facial expressions. She walks out there and says "Um, you were signed up for Friday at 9am and you missed that class." I was shocked at this time. I explained to her that's impossible, because I had no idea they had a Friday class and that I was told Saturday at 8 am, how would I know to show up at that time Saturday if that is not what I was told? She rudely scoffed and rolled her eyes and told me it was my mistake and that there was a missed class fee. I refused because this was NOT my error. She eventually walked back there slamming stuff around and basically shoved my certificate to me. Now the two ladies at the front were quiet at this time, and were very kind when I left. However, that other wicked witch was the complete opposite. It was clearly their mistake, and she stood there trying to make me feel like an idiot and trying to force me to pay a missed class fee that I really did not miss. Her lack of common knowledge and grammar was quite frightening, and next time I'll just pay the ticket to avoid that lady.
Had John Cousins for an instructor on a 4 hour course and actually enjoyed the time here. He made something boring and tedious really entertaining.
I have always had a good experience with ASI informative and interesting.
The older woman and man that answers the phones are just incredibly rude. The way that they both talked to me, almost feels like they are talking down to you but wont cross the line becuz they’re corporate smart. I’ve had to deal with them once before in the past and they were the same way as they are now. I would rather pay a speeding ticket than ever have to even come close to talking to them again.
8. Scissum Driving Academy
6408 Eric St NW, 35810 Huntsville (Alabama)
(16 reseñas)
Mr. Scissum was able to teach my step-daughter basic driving skills and helped her gain the confidence to continue driving even though this skill is particularly challenging for her. He was clear in his instructions, could identify individual issues and offered correction in a friendly, genuine manner. He was able to make special accommodations, without our asking, in order for her to be more at ease - he was able to assess this within the first hour. Mr. Scissum is obviously a skilled instructor, a genuine individual, and knows what he's doing on the road. His cars are up to date, well marked, and equipped for safety. Much better than what I learned on in school!
Mr. Scissum is an excellent Driver Education Teacher. I gain confident and experience driving on the road. I got my license the following day the session was over. I scored a 91 on my driver test. I highly recommended anyone who is interested in obtaining their license to go too the professional Mr. Williams Scissum and enrolled today into Scissum Driving Academy. Thank you, Israel Harris
You can really tell that this man loves to do what he does. He's a very patient individual, genuine, and teaches things that aren't in Drivers Ed. I would highly recommend him to anyone who needs to pass that "scary" driving test or for anyone who wants to learn additional driving skills that he/she did not know. Keep up the great work Mr. Scissum!
Driving instructor was helpful! Highly recommended for nervous teens and parents of new drivers.
