I passed my road test in the first attempt (Newark DMV). The tips the instructor gave me were 100% useful and were tested. The instructor is very skilled. Also, everyone in the office (and over the phone) are helpful, patient and soft spoken. They explained me the process really well and made this as smooth as possible. Overall a great experience. Disclaimer: I have been a seasoned driver outside of the United States (10+ years) and I needed a Driving License here in USA.
I started to learn how to drive in like November or December 2024 and thanks to North Ave Driving School, and my instructor Carlos, and my instructor Oscar, although I did not had any lessons with him, he still had the opportunity to teach me what the road test had. I really enjoyed Fernando as my instructor. He helped calm my nerves and explain the rules of the road with eloquent logic which allowed me to understand things so much better. He’s patient, reaffirming, and clear. I only took one class with him but I learned so much and he educated me on tips I can apply to adjust my parallel parking which came in handy! I took 7 hours with this company. I had no prior experience with driving. Cesar was my main instructor, amazing, patient, and a really sweet person over all. I learned so much with him, and had a great time. He made driving feel less stressful, and he was honest when mistakes were made. I did one short class with Yennifer, but even with that limited amount of time, she taught me many tips & hacks. With both their help, I passed my Road Test. Only 7 hours and I passed. That’s how amazing they both are. And I am very grateful of them, highly recommend.
The first time I took driving lessons with a lady I did not pass my road test because I was not being taught correctly in my opinion, she didn’t pay attention to me and didn’t make me feel confident in my driving. I tried again with another instructor and everyone recommended me Cesar so I asked for him and he made me feel welcome, confident and motivated. I did my lessons and he showed me everything I needed to do and what not to do. I passed my road test by remembering what he taught me in the lessons. I would highly recommend practicing with Cesar he is very friendly and will focus on making you pass.

I had Chris as an instructor and he was great. I had a couple of classes with him and all of them were fun, he has a great personality and a lot of patience. I passed my road test yesterday and truly because of the help he gave me.

This is by far the best driving school anyone could ever pick. Luis is the best instructor, he’s so kind and patient. I only had 2 lessons with him and was able to pass my road test perfectly. HIGHLY, recommend Total Driving School. A really organized school in which text messages will be sent to you in advance reminding you your next classes. My personal favorite JORGE, the sweetest driver instructor. He’s very patient with his students and teaches you exactly what you need to pass. I had an amazing time with him, made me feel really comfortable with the wheel.

Took 2-3 lessons and passed the road test on the first try! Moses & Chokri are both amazing instructors! They’re patient and knowledgeable. Chokri took me to the Lodi testing center and on the way there he spoke and made jokes which put my nerves to ease! The communication from the safe roads driving team is overall transparent & the prices are fair. If you want to pass your road test on the first try this team is your to go to!

Choukri was my third driving instructor in my driving learning journey, but thanks to Choukri at Safe Roads School, it turned into an empowering and even enjoyable experience. Extremely patient and respectful. From the very first lesson, Choukri made me feel at ease. He’s not just an efficient instructor—he’s a confidence builder. Before anything else, he focuses on making you feel capable behind the wheel. No pressure, no stress—just calm, steady encouragement. He has a natural gift for teaching in a way that feels relaxed but still highly focused and he delivers real learning experience. It’s hard to overstate how helpful that is, especially if you're nervous or starting from scratch. One of the things I appreciated most is that Choukri doesn’t just teach you how to pass the test—he teaches you how to drive well, for life, I passed my test thanks to him and I am planning to take a couple additional hours for advanced driving. He has some of the smartest little tricks and methods that truly simplify driving and take the guesswork out of situations that can be overwhelming at first (parallel parking, anyone?). He’s incredibly flexible with scheduling, always punctual, and just an all-around reliable human being. And beyond all the technical stuff, he’s simply a very kind, respectful, and humble person—which makes the learning environment that much more comfortable. My time learning with him was a true fun and learning time. The school itself is also extremely professional. I often communicated with Chelsea & Another young lady on weekends at the front desk, and they are both so on top of everything. You get clear text and email reminders for your lessons, confirmations for your road test dates, and any changes are handled promptly and efficiently. It’s organized, smooth, and reassuring every step of the way. No delays, no cancellations. This is a 100% genuine recommendation from someone who is now a licensed, much more confident driver thanks to this experience. This driving school was amazing. Very accommodating with our schedule. I know we were a pain, we moved a lot of appointments and each time they really worked with us and we found a time that worked. Everyone was very nice and patient with our daughter. I am very glad we used them! I 100% recommend this facility for driving school. Also, the prices are comparable and even lower than others… a bonus!!
We had the best experience with South Jersey Driving School. Today our daughter took her driving test and we chose a package provided by the driving school where they provided the instructor and car to give her a quick refresher and walk her through the course before taking the test. I am very pleased with our experience with Golden Wheel Driving school. The office staff is great, they are quick to respond and explained the whole process. The driver, Peter, was very patient with my son and my son said he was a "great guy" and he learned alot. After the 6 hours of instruction, my son feels confident to drive on highways and even parallel park. Everything went smoothly and I highly recommend.

I’ve been driving for over 3 years back home, but here I needed to take the road test all over again, so my friend recommended me to choose this driving school. My instructor was Entcho Hristov, I just wanted to practice for a couple of times to see what would I have to do on the test, just to see what are the “tips and tricks” that I would need to know. With him everything was so easy and clear! He showed me how to do parallel parking super easy (and I kind of forgot how to do that😅), explained everything very well so that I did not have any problems on the test:) thank you so much for this experience! Years ago, my husband passed his road test with Royal's help so he decided to enroll me with them. Davinci was great! He was very patient all throughout! He motivates you and teach you the correct and easy way to park and drive. I was able to pass on my first try!! 👏🏼 Very much recommended!

Every time my friend and I went driving with Zach, it never felt like a class but a fun trip! I typically get a bit anxious when behind the wheel due to past driving experience. But thankfully, we found Zach, and he is hands down the best instructor with a kind heart, genuine attitude and professional skills to make the learning so painless. He listens patiently, understands my confusions and fear, and gives me the best suggestion. Both of us passed because of Zach. I have taken lessons in other driving schools and initially just planed to take one or two Zach’s lessons because my original instructor had no time and my road test was approaching. But after the first lesson with Zach, I hope I come to his driving school earlier to save my time and money spent on other driving schools Zach is a great instructor who gives clear instructions and always steps in my shoes. He listens to my questions like a friend and does his best to answer them. The best person to entrust with your new driver! Lenny can turn a stress filled day into a relaxed and enjoyable time. Our teen was nervous and doesn't handle criticism well, so we were anxious about how things would turn out. She came home smiling and laughing, loves to drive, and says Lenny is hilarious and never made her feel stressed out. Long story short, we used him for her 6 hours behind the wheel and then again on test day. She passed! Do yourself a favor, stay home and let Lenny teach your kid. You will feel better, they will feel better, and the fear and stress of getting a license will melt away.

I had just passed my test earlier today. Very happy I got it and I wouldn't have been able to do it without both Victoria and Lenny. They were very helpful and helped calm down my nerves because I got so nervous and anxious to get my license but the test was so nerve racking for me. Just passed my road test in Lodi. I had specifically asked for Jimmy when scheduling my classes as this centre, based on all the reviews I saw. And I was glad I did. He explained the "why" behind all his instructions. And mainly, he not just taught me how to park but also made me practise fixing it. We simulated different scenarios of incorrect parking and learnt how to fix it. This practise is what helped me pass my test. I took class with some other instructor as well, who was not good. But I can vouch for Jimmy! :)
Thanks to this school I was able to pass my road test easily. Orlando was a good teacher that made sure that my mistakes were made known to me. He comes off as abrasive and I wish he would show some patience. Anyway his lessons were effective.

I passed my road test after lessons with Celeste. What's unique about her, is that she taught me how to parallel park in just a few steps. She simplifies parts of driving that can seem intimidating. She gets to know her students and seems to tailor the driving lessons to meet the students' unique challenges around driving. I felt calm and confident with Celeste as my instructor, and I learned later in life. It's never too late.

I was extremely happy with my entire experience with Cornely Driving School. Their system is setup so it's easy to know what to do at each step and the process made what could be a stressful experience seamless. The best part of our experience was the driving instructor, George. He made my daughter feel at ease, confident in her abilities, and was very knowledgeable in teaching her the ways of the road. Overall it was an excellent experience and I will be using Cornely Driving for all my children.

My son passed his road test today and we have in large part Cornely Driving School in Haddonfield and their instructor John Zazerra to thank. My son is on the spectrum with ADD and we’re a neurodiverse family. Despite getting a permit with a different driving school last winter (Three 2-hour lessons) my son appeared no better at driving. We drove over the summer, but couldn’t get the original driving school to return calls and they had no online booking. I found Cornely and easily booked using their online system. I could also pay online which made things so simple. John showed up and it was the perfect match. John’s youthful energy coupled with his calm & confident personality made my son feel comfortable. With his anxiety put at ease he was able to learn. After one lesson my son noticeably improved. I was too scared to take my son on 295, but John had no problem. After the second lesson I knew my son could pass the test. He grew leaps and bounds in four hours under John’s instruction. Each time after my son saw John, my son drove so well I stopped being a scared passenger and felt safe. Today was the road test and my son passed and even talked to the DMV instructor because he felt confident. Thank you, John & Cornely! It’s worth every dime!

The instructor Nuria was extrememly patient and very specific with the way she conducts her teachings. If you want to make sure you pass the test on the first try, I highly recommend this school. I never parked a car in my life and they taught me to the point where I feel like I have been parallel parking my whole life, would give 6 stars if I could.

Great place to go to and practice your 6 hours. I did all my six hours here and passed my road test on the first try. The instructors are very kind and they always make sure that your doing the right thing. They help you especially on doing very well on parallel parking and the k turn. I really recommend this school.

Just called to get some info and schedule my first session, apparently the page is “not updated” since everything they have in it is a lie. They don’t have a school in Elizabeth (and the receptionist has no info about any other that isn’t the one she works at), and there’s a $60 discrepancy on the individual sessions. I have a whole month wondering about enrolling or not and I’ve always seen the same price, so they have a whole month “updating” their website.

Sorry for late review but I'm here. Ok so I've been to every bus companies..name it I've been there and I would always walk away. Instuctors talk down on you or way too cocky or not PROFESSIONAL. Then I decided to PAY for my lessons and get my 1 on 1 lessons. Every penny was will worth it! I finally received my airbrakes endorsement on 5/6/22. I couldn't have done it without "Jay" aka Harlem. Then a woman instructor Margarita ..1 of a kind nothing but patience and being a woman I felt so comfortable with her. Thank you Ideal!!
My experience was amazing. I took an hour of practice before taking my driving test and my instructing Wes was the best! my parallel parking was horrible but when he showed me how to do it I improved too! without a doubt I will return to continue practicing despite already having a license.

Unbelievable! We went to Cherry DMV to practice parallel parking. We were the 2nd car there. The VW was before us. We completed 1 practice park when this Jack As…. pulls up behind us preventing us from parallel parking a 2nd time and refused to move. We waited for them to finish and when they pulled out, we pulled back up. This nitwit actually told us to leave…. repeatedly! “Come on Momma, Share”. He wouldn’t stop calling me “MOMMA”…..WEIRD! He literally said it was his spot….I laughed at him. Then he insisted they were his cones, mind you they were there when we arrived, he was not. I told him if they were his cones then he should take them. He then has his student pull up, blocks us in and proceeds to open his trunk and put the cones in. He continues to block us from being able to parallel park again. Never once did is say anything to the people in the VW. His poor student was so embarrassed he just kept shaking is head looking down. Is this what you want teaching your kid to drive…..I THINK NOT!!!! He was beyond words weird!!!
Totally looking forward to sending my 16 year old daughter to Cherry Hill Driving School next week! Had a great experience when my oldest daughter used them. Rob was great. He was punctual, safe and detail oriented when teaching my youngest son to drive. He was accommodating with schedule to work around my son’s school and baseball schedule. He was thorough with completing documents. The car was clean and well maintained. My son was comfortable the entire time and enjoyed his conversations during their six hours together. We will be recommending him and CH driving school!

I passed my road test today, extremely thankful to Magdy! After spending time with him on driving for three months, I would strongly recommend him if you try to find a driving school teacher! From below points, you can derive a more complete picture of him. 1. He has a lot of experience on road, and also the road test. No matter whether it is in our daily training or in our mock exam session, he taught me a lot of tricks, such as the “smart” parallel parking trick, this is extremely helpful in my real test. 2. Very patient person. I have a lot of questions when I’m on the road, such as what the sign means, when to turn, when to switch lane; I’m like the hell full of endless questions, he has patience for every one, and never ignore any of them. I feel so lucky that I found him to be my teacher. 3. Profession. Usually I book two hour session with him, and he would utilize this golden time to its most. Sometimes he is late as he is rushing from last session to mine, but he always makes it to a full two hour session with me. And he confirms with me every time before he picks me up at my address, usually one hour before, or a day before. Especially when it is an early morning session, he confirms with me first before he is on the road. Very nice person indeed! I had two sessions with this guy, and they were amazing—I’m not gonna lie. I learned a lot in just those two sessions. I drove back in high school, and besides that, I only took a couple of refresher courses that cost about $50 each. I’ve tried rebooking multiple times, but he hasn’t been responding to my calls. I was told he had a little incident, so I called to check in, both out of concern and to see if he was up for driving sessions. I hope everything is okay with him, but I’m not the type to blow up someone’s phone. I’ve seen so many great reviews, and from my own experience, I can see why. But I recommend him
Mr. Magdee is a very good instructor. He is calm, very patient and his methods of teaching are very student friendly. I thought parallel parking would be very hard to learn, but his simple tactics helped me parallel park all by myself on the second try. Charges are $40 per hour and he never forces you to take more classes or a set number of classes. The only con is that his car is very old..but it is functional enough to learn and drive on the road. Absolutely recommend him!
I practiced with Magdy only because I needed to learn how to parallel park. I knew how to drive and everything, parking was all I needed, he thought me a method of parking that I never heard anyone do before, but hey I understood it and got it to work to perfection. the day of my test I was super ready, and I knew I had the necessary skills to pass, when we get there it is freezing cold and all Magdy was worrying about was getting back before 12 for his other appointment. Long story short, because of this I dint get a good look at the test courser and failed because I was lost, and all that negativity and him rushing just made me more anxious and nervous. took the test with another school, two weeks later passed in under 3 minutes. Would not recommend. 0/10
Two of my friends took sessions with this driving school and said that I should do it because they had a good experience. Today was supposed to be my first session but it did not go well. My session was at 10 AM and he was 50 minutes late when my session ends at 11. I asked my friend if the latest he’s been and I was told 20 minutes. I gave the instructor the benefit of the doubt and I was called at 10:20 and told that he would be 15-20 minutes late. I accepted that and when he arrived he was no where in sight. I understand if the GPS did not give him the exact spot to meet me but he was no where in sight and I was told to try to look for him. I apologized for wasting his time and he said it was alright and that he was already here (at 10:55 AM). I offered to reschedule but he declined because he was already in the area, to which I understand but who would want to pay $50 for a 5 minute driving lesson when he most likely has another session at 11 since I was told he gets booked easily. When I offered to reschedule a second time he started to get upset and yell at me on the phone which led to me hanging up. Finally at 10:58 I see the car right outside my house which would be no point since it would be 2 minutes. Although he has the end goal to help first-time drivers, it was not the best first impression.

My friend wanted to do her first driving class here and was forcibly removed from their schedule literal minutes before her class, because this company failed to tell her that they only accept cash. what is this? the 1800s?? she gave plenty of options such as zelle or even stopping at the atm and just pushing the class back a few minutes since she would have to uber to both places. i would think they’d understand the struggle since they obviously knows she can’t drive just yet, but all understanding and compassion were thrown out the window, as they only served as a bigger hurdle in her dream of getting her license. I will NEVER recommend this place to any of my family members or friends, as we are apart of a large youthful community with many driving prospects. i hope your business withers to nothing. God bless you, cuz He’s better than me.

The school refuses to call me back or refund my money for the lessons my daughter did NOT have! Awful customer service! Scam
I really enjoyed learning how to drive I had Mr.Gorge he helped me relax when I was taking the driving lessons he made it a good experience that I called back for him to take me back out for my road test I practiced for a hour then I drive to the testing area & I passed!!!!! Thank you again Mr.Gorge for all of your help/tips!!!!
I contacted Echelon for my daughter’s behind the wheel program. They cover multiple counties and they were able to provide service in Atlantic County. My daughter‘s instructor, Scott H was communicative, prompt and patient. My daughter completed her training in 2 3hr sessions, with two weeks off in between. After finishing her last lesson, she felt much more confident, experienced driving in a variety of situations, such as neighborhoods, County roads, and highways like the Garden State Parkway. Scott provided me areas where she needs a little more practice than others, and she identified the same area as herself. Before going out driving, Scott came to the house, collected all of the necessary identification, the $10 for the permit at MVC, and went to MVC and handled all of that himself. When she came home from this last lesson, her appointment to have her official drivers test for her 17th birthday, is already made. Highly recommend contacting Echelon if you are in the Atlantic County area, the price is commensurate with local schools, and they were able to provide service substantially sooner.

Ideal school helped me to get my CDL within 4 weeks of training . Flexible hours , cooperative staff and very skilled instructors (Xeeshan and Jose) . Highly recommend this school for CDL
CDL A Horrible waste of time and money, straight joke an instructor once told me don’t worry if you fail unemployment will pay for more classes not know that I paid cash money also on the phone while supposedly teaching you also they never have availability to fit your schedule so maybe if you are on unemployment is good place but not for the working think about it before you sign up 💯

I passed the test the first time. They have different instructors and each one if them teach well how to drive. Including turn, passing, parking, signs, merging, and other more.. I recommend this place.
the teacher hassan badawy was so amazing I recommend everyone who needs a teacher to be taught by him. he is a very very sweet person who will sit there and explain throughly how to do certain things and help you pass your drivers test on first try. he makes sure to take time and make you feel comfortable driving and get used to being on the street.
