I had an amazing experience at Idaho CDL School! The program was well-structured and gave me all the tools I needed to succeed. I want to give a huge shoutout to Kelly he was an incredible supporter throughout the entire process. His guidance, patience, and encouragement made a tremendous difference in my journey. I highly recommend this school to anyone serious about earning their CDL!

There is no way to accurately convey the top notch school that Idaho CDL is in a simple review. That said I will try. From my first phone conversation to my last in office conversation where they handed me my Certificate of Completion I felt like they were happy to have me choose them for my training. This is a top tier professional driving school. The instructors (Jason, Barney Ned, and Kelly) were the kindest, most patient and professional driving team you could ask for. Even the examiner was truly professional and made you feel like he wanted you to succeed! Check your ego and know-it-all attitude at the door and let this team guide you to success. They are not the cheapest training you can find but they will get you from never having driven a 10 speed truck (or any truck for that matter) to professional driver in about a week!! I challenge you to find a better team of people to help you start your driving career. They deserve more than 5 stars! Trust me. If I can do it anyone can! Check your mirrors!!! John Brett Hays

Jason, Richard and Marvin are awesome! The training process was smooth and seamless. They all broke it down and made it easy to understand making sure I understood in my own way to be able to cover all bases. Would highly recommend this company to anyone! I cannot rave about Idaho CDL Training enough. I had to get a Class A for work and was resigned to paying for it myself (ouch). The staff told me about a grant, which I got, and made the price tag much more affordable for me. The instructors here are fantastic. They know their stuff. During your training, you are one on one with the same trainer. And they work with you and your quirks to figure out your learning style. I was raised to be a perfectionist in things. So I struggled a lot mentally. I wanted to cry a few times out of frustration. But we worked on it and I felt confident. Just make sure you go potty before your test so you're empty and not distracted! Also, bring a towel. Otherwise you'll get swass from sitting on vinyl seats all day. :-) Highly recommend!

I recently just took a 5 day course through Idaho CDL. All the instructors that they have go above and beyond. Ned, Kelly, Jason, and Mr. Barnes.m I thank you guys for everything. The ladies in the office are all amazing with quick responses. I highly recommend Idaho CDL!

Rob is quite the character, but the class is lots of fun. The cars are nice and the driving instructors are very kind. Shout out to Scott, my favorite instructor. Fast paced learning and fast cars. 10/10 would learn again.

What’s not to love? The cars are way fun for the kids, the education is priceless and the overall experience is unforgettable. I took drivers ed here years ago and I still remember how fun the class and driving was! Plus, going to fast lane for the final class is awesome! Going anywhere else would lessen the experience.

After being out-of-state for the past four years, and upon returning, I realised that traffic and driving patterns had changed in Boise and after interviewing a few driver's ed companies, I settled on the Idaho Driving School for my teen. She did not have to take the class, but as THAT mom who does not leave anything to chance, I enrolled her, and it was the best decision ever!! You get more than you pay for. The curriculum is comprehensive and thorough; the additional information and personal driving experiences shared really helped my child understand how multi-dimensional driving is. My teen enjoyed every class, made new friends, and loved the in-car experience!! I am grateful to the entire team for their investment, knowledge, and expertise. I highly recommend this company for all new drivers, teen and adult. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

We had a great experience working with Treasure Valley Driving School. Our daughter only needed the behind the wheel training, and they were extremely accommodating. Her instructor was Victor, and we would highly recommend him. He was exactly what my daughter needed; easy going, direct and an overall terrific instructor. Thank you!

I have a daughter with ADHD and autism so my heart was in my throat as she began her drivers training. She was so incredibly nervous as she set out with Bree to do her final drive but when I came back to pick her up she was smiling, relaxed and very proud of herself. Bree helped my daughter to feel successful and increased her confidence in her ability to drive. She has a special quality that is rare to find and if you have a child with ADHD, autism, anxiety or other challenges, I cannot recommend her highly enough. Thank you so much Bree!

Kayla was an awesome driving instructor for me! She gave me great tips on how to make me a better driver and taught me cool tricks to help me understand reverse driving better. She was really sweet and kind! 100% recommend you drive with her if you choose to drive with this school!

I don't keep a Google account under my real name, but still had to come say how awesome my experience was! She helped me get over my years long fear and anxiety of never being able to be a safe driver, and even adapted her teaching methods when I was up front about my issues. I wasn't always the easiest to work with, but she was so patient and helpful in taking a big step to gaining my independence. I've got a lot of practice to do, but I'm so thankful for her and wish her all the best.

Great driving school.

The instructors are incredibly patient and make new drivers feel comfortable and confident behind the wheel. My son always enjoyed his lessons. As a parent, scheduling lessons is quick and hassle-free!

Customer service sucks! I called to ask questions about registration the woman kept raising her voice and talking over me and droning on and on without letting me ask m question.

Joke, joke, joke! Tried reaching out to instructor with questions on how I can help my child improve in areas that she was struggling with no response. When I asked him in person the answer I got was that I can’t help her. Instructor had his mind made up before the skills test even began. No help offered even though the struggle was known.

Absolutely loved my experience with them especially Bryon my driving instructor. I would totally recommend this place to any new driver.

GARBAGE school. You’re supposed to have EXPERIENCE driving before applying or else they will fail you and that’s $300 down the drain. Oh and don’t bother calling them because they will say it’s your fault🤷🏻‍♀️

Rohan was a great driving instructor for me! He was very helpful and nice while I was driving. I was very nervous to drive, but made it a lot more comfortable for me. He made it clear about what the most important things were, and told me everything I needed to know to pass my test. Elite Driving School is recommended!

I loved this drivers Ed so much. Mr Rohan is a Funny and at the same time strict teacher that makes sure you are putting in your best effort to pass drivers Ed. He tells lots of funny stories and makes everything so enjoyable to be there all the time!! 🙂 this drivers Ed I highly recommend because it is cheaper than most drivers Ed classes, it’s faster, and Mr Rohan makes everyone comfortable and have a great time there.

I've done my full 6 hours with him about a week ago. The instructor is very negative and short tempered. If you make a mistake he begins to yell at you and ridicule you. He acts as if everyone should already be at his skill level, not only that but when he yells at you he expects you to immediately do what he says the second the words come out of his mouth. I was on the verge of tears the entire time. I never want to drive again.

No response despite being paid. I would pay attention to the reviews with lower ratings. Seems to be a common occurrence with last minute changes or simply not returning phone calls or text messages. I have been trying to get permits back so we can transfer to a different driving school for months now, but to no avail.

I picked Elite driving school after talking to a friend. I wish I would have started with reviews, lesson learned! Rohan was quiet when meeting him for the first time & doesn't really care to communicate with parents. After first drive my daughter was already uneasy with the way Rohan communicates with new drivers. His way of instructing left my daughter more confused. After second drive and having his voice raised my daughter came home and said "no more". At one point he yelled at her to "go go go" and she had to tell him she was trying but his foot was on the brake. All he said was "oh". Another time, he instructed her to "try and make the yellow light". When she didn't accelerate to beat the light, his response was "or not"! Through the drive Rohan would pay attention to the speed my daughter was driving and would jokingly say "you owe me $1.00 for driving over the limit". At one point, he told my daughter he was surprised she was "driving the speed limit because she always drives so slow". He would tell her one time to take a corner faster but then tell her not to take the corner over 5 mph. I was getting a headache listening to my daughter discuss his back and forth teaching. She felt like he was setting her up for failure. I discussed the way he instructs and he did mention he is a coach and sometimes that side of him comes out. Hearing my daughter talk about this instructor and telling me she wasn't going back had me concerned. She even stated she didn't care if she had to wait months to get into another school but she would not get back in the car with this instructor. She said it took everything she had not to cry. I called and Rohan is currently the only instructor as the other is out on medical leave. Discussing my concerns with Rohan only confirmed what my daughter was saying. He interrupted me many times, talked over me and tried to validate his teaching style and "coaching voice". Ultimately, I requested a refund (I received $150 out of the $375 because he did drive with her for 3 hours). If your child is sensitive, anxious or requires a more step by step instruction than this school is not for them. If you want your child to be respected, this school is not for you.

I am so glad I chose Hawkins for my daughter's drivers ed. Tomi was incredibly professional but also very understanding and absolutely accommodating. She was able to see that my daughter was not quite ready to get in the car and was so kind and patient with her. Tomi was also super responsive and thorough in communications (something I find hard to come by). She really is the BEST kind of teacher and I cannot recommend Hawkins enough.
