My daughter completed her driver's ed course online, but I wish we lived closer so that she could have attended in person. Throughout my daughter's training, Misty was very responsive, polite, and informative. All required certifications were mailed to our home in a timely manner. I truly appreciate this office, as it helped make both my ability to teach and my daughter's ability to learn much smoother. I would recommend this office to anyone seeking a driver's education course, whether for yourself or your teenager. Thank you and continued blessings!
Amazing class, very kind and welcoming teacher, I felt every ready to start driving after completing the class.
I learned a lot of things that will help me be a much safer driver and keep the people around me and myself safer!
Everything is taught in good detail and the dangers of driving are always shown in a way that helps you stay careful as a driver. It is a great course!
I took this during the summer and i definitely recommend anybody to come here, they truly want you to pass and succeed in driving!!

Mr. Freese was really cool and funny! He did a good job at explaining what we needed to know. Though I would say handing out papers explaining what to do in regards to getting your permit and such would help out a lot. Otherwise, this class was good!
The instructor Mr Jim Freese is very engaging and helpful. The staff is incredibly kind and understanding of schedules, I highly recommend if you're going to go to driving school do it here. They make the process easy and simple but also really help you understand the fundamentals of driving a vehicle. I'm glad I went here. *Honk honk* 🤡
I feel this was the best choice as an older learning driver(23). I had Brenda for all my driving courses &’ she made it comfortable and a smooth transition. She made it so I did not need to be nervous to drive. Great environment &’ Mr. Freeze is great &’ can keep the class fun while making sure you learn what you need.
This driving school, is hand on the best, they care about our kids and the safety of our kids, thank you to Ericka & the guy that helped us very nice and and professional thank you for treating my Grandaughter with respect and kindness this means a lot to me … she is on her way to getting her license because of your support and your school 👏 👏 👏 ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ 🚘 driving school 🏫

We had a wonderful experience with Coach Al's Driving School. The staff was supportive and made classroom learning fun. The instructors scheduled drive time in such a manner that was easy and accommodating. My daughter finished her drive time before the end of the course. Instructors genuinely cared for the students. Class size was small so my daughter received quality education and time with each instructor. I can not recommend Coach Al's Driving School enough.
Coach Al's Driving School went above and beyond my expectations for a driving school. You can tell all the instructors are passionate about teaching kids how to drive and truly care about them. Take your time choosing a school to teach your child. Dont just pick the cheapest. This is not something you want to overlook quality for lowest price. I trusted them completely with my daughter. I would absolutely recommend this driving school to any of my family and friends.
I had a great experience with Coach Al’s driving school. Before I started the class which started February 17th. I had a search for driving schools in Albuquerque and I feel like I found the best place. Starting from answering my phone call and giving me class information until the end of the day it was a unique experience overall. Words are not enough to express my gratitude to Coach Eddie, Stacey, and everyone on the staff. Coach Eddie is a great person, teacher, and mentor. Being a teacher, I really loved his teaching skills, communication with students, handling the challenges, and passion for the job. I really appreciate everything they have taught us. It is definitely the best place to learn driving behind the wheel and in the curriculum. I definitely suggest here to everyone, including adults like me. Thank you so much for everything! You are the BEST!
I had a great experience with Coach Al's Driving School, specifically during my tests with Eddie. He was incredibly helpful and a really nice guy, making the entire process much smoother and less stressful. He explained everything clearly, which helped me feel confident during the tests. The procedures for scheduling and completing the tests were also smooth and well-organized. Highly recommend Coach Al's Driving School for anyone preparing for their driving tests!
This is probably the best driving school in Albuquerque you could go to. You definitely learn a lot and the process is super quick and easy. All of my other friends are still getting their permit because usually they’re driving school takes 7months or longer if you are doing it at valley or in any aps school . They all have really interesting stories and the coaches are super supportive and i felt like i was in really good hands the whole time . Coach Eddie is really nice and I enjoyed driving with him . I forgot her name but the lady who reads the book and shows us the videos was super sweet and I enjoyed listening to all of her stories! She was always happy to help or answer any questions ! Anyways yeah I recommend it!

New start driving school was quite an experience. I liked how the teacher used videos, quizzes and he used life lessons as a teacher. I feel as though I’ve learned more than I would’ve taking a different driving course.
It’s a really good class it goes by very fast and they make it very funny and easy I’m glad to say I got a chance to join and experience this class!! I think sending your teens here who want to learn to drive in 2 weeks needs to come here
This driving class was awesome! The instructor made everything super easy to understand and kept it fun the whole time. I actually enjoyed going to every lesson and learned a lot without feeling stressed. Totally recommend it to anyone wanting a chill and fun way to learn how to drive!
I love this class, I thought learning the rules of the road was going to be difficult but the way they teach makes it very easy to understand. I would recommend this class to anyone. They teach you everything step by step and I never had trouble! Also they teach real life lessons which is really helpful! Thank you new start driving school :)
8 days to learn. They share interesting stories lead on opinions but do teach the importance of paying attention on the road. 👍
5. Achievement Driving School
333 Montaño Rd NW # D, 87107 Albuquerque (New Mexico)

Achievement Driving School exceeds the average driving school. The quality in providing accurate information, relevant information to make the student feel comfortable makes a huge difference in building confidence in the driver. Extra time behind the wheel oppose to a checklist is where ADS exceeds quality and excellence. Confidence in driving and knowledge of the responsibilities of a new driver is shown! My step-daughter enjoyed her experience with ADS!
Best school in Albuquerque. I recommend this school to all my friends! I work a lot and go to school and they helped me get thru the process easily with no stress to get my license. Teachers were really nice and helpful.
My son had an awesome experience with Achievement. Sherry was helpful and warm, and Ashley was an awesome road instructor who put him at ease and made him feel confident. Thank you so much!
Mr. Eric is a 5 star instructor. Great person easy to talk to and made the whole process easy. 10 out of 10 highly recommended.
Called to get information not on website. Owner tells me they are "the best". Okay, if you think so... Nothing on website states days or hours for scheduling the "one on one" driving times. Said it's "cost prohibitive" to discuss on the phone when the students gets the information in the class. I want to know details of what I'm paying for before I pay for it. Simple to me, difficult for him. He also enjoyed talking over me on the phone. Not cool.

Turner School is, of course, convenient for kids going to Eldorado or nearby schools which is why a lot of parents choose Turner. They are dependable and reliable for their class room schedule as well as responsive and friendly. The only problem is the scheduled driving after the teen has completed the classes. You will wait up to 2-3 months before your child will receive any hands on actual driving instruction for the $300+ cost of this education. Which means the parent is the instructor (which we hopefully remember all the rules) during every day traffic and commutes until the school has an opening. Parents paid the school to teach our kids and they have provided acceptable classroom booklets and tests but they need to step up and provide actual real-life driving instruction quicker than 2 to 3 months. I was told the driving instructors are local coaches but that isn't a good enough reason to NOT teach our kids to drive when we've entrusted Turner to do just that within a reasonable time.
Both of my kids went here for their driving lessons. It's really convenient having it so closer to Eldorado HS.
It's much different from a mvd style experience. The place is calm and quiet and got me in immediately. The staff is there to help you and will answer your questions given reasonability. Great service, would recommend, and if you don't want to feel pressure then this is the place.
The entire staff was friendly and kind. Adult driving test took less than 10 minutes. Written test took less time than that. Thank you for making the experience painless!
Affordable to say the least, teacher's are experienced and reasonable. They acutely prepare beginners for the dangers, law, and safety precautions of driving. Even though they are excellent teachers organization seems to not be a priority. Waiting for several hours in an empty waiting room to take a test on a computer that isn't being used, and then being told to come back tomorrow is a time waster and incredibly inconvenient for students and their parents.

Hit a raccoon and backed into the the school three times
Not feeling good at all for signing my child up for this school. Can't call it a driver's school because they don't teach how to drive. Name should be changed to Chamisa School of driver's instruction. Everyone is nice and courteous but that doesn't matter since I am left to teach my child how to drive and I have not been trained to teach someone how to drive. This is one of the worst decisions I have made. Going to end up having to pay extra for someone to teach my child how to drive. So very disappointed. If your child has no experience at all with driving this is not the school for them.
one of the driving expecters doesnt even teach you to drive he just sits there and expects you to drive and gets extremely mad and is impatient and the other expecter is really nice and patient
I’ve heard a lot of good stuff about this driving school but I called and they told me they weren’t doing any services of driving does anyone when they will start
They did such a good job helping my brother get his license I recommend.

So happy just got my drivers license. This place was awesome. Very easy to work with.
The best spot to get your drivers licenses they are so Nice and friendly 100% go here
My driving instructor was Ms. Medina at old school of driving in Los Lunas, I really appreciate her time put into making sure I learned everything I needed to. Shes so nice and patient especially with making sure I didn’t feel as nervous on the road. I loved being her student.
Do not waste your money here. I read the reviews and still went because they promised to work with our schedule my son in sports. Took our money and never answered phones again. One time I got through in the year we went there the owner yelled at me. When I took my son next day he treated my son bad. We had to walk away, my son never got his license. They are so difficult to work with. The women there are not allowed to do anything, answer phones or questions they send you to the owner and he is Very Rude!
My daughter enjoyed this place, learned a lot and help build her confidence. The instructors are strict, which is great. When you’re talking about life and death the instructors are professional and communication was great.

I was afraid to learn how to drive, but this driver's ed program made it very easy and confrontable. The instructors there were great, and my driving improved greatly, at a speed I was comfortable with. I got my license yesterday and there was no hassle or problem.
So just learned today that absolutely nothing that’s on the written test is taught in this school. Everything on test is on the MVD drivers manual. Don’t waste your money cuz really for the $350 spent for two weeks of enduring very hot classroom 3 hours five days a week no proper ventilation to learn nothing that is on this test. Not worth the time or money. Just download manual and study that as we were told by MVD cuz nothing you learn in driving school or online will be on test. Everything is on drivers manual.
I will never recommend LTD to anyone! When I was in High School, LTD was the only place to go. As an adult who now has a teenage driver, I chose LTD as they have been around the longest. I wish I would have known better. David is extremely rude, unprofessional, and does not know how to run a business. Thankfully, there are a couple of instructors here that made our experience a little less miserable. Who I will recommend however, is New Start Driving School. They are friendly, helpful, AND they answer their phone! Extremely disappointed with our overall experience with LTD.
This doesn’t even deserve one star don’t waste your money here.
Great place to send your kids for driver's ed It is the oldest and largest Driving School in the area. And you student gets all the state requirements. Don't go anywhere else ! 🚗

I wish I could give no stars. They take in way too many students and are impossible to deal with if you need to reschedule a drive time. Even refused to let my daughter switch drive times with her friend the same week. They are extremely rude on the phone, yelled at my wife when she called. We ended up having to transfer my daughter along with her friends to another driving school or they would have never finished. Some of the worst customer service I have ever seen.
I had to drive my sister over 30 minutes to have her take her driving lesson here and they tell her to come back in an other hour because there was people in there taking a test. The owner has a severe anger problem and seems to be mentally unstable. This man should not be dealing with children learning how to drive. My sister also tells me he has done this in the past and puts the blame on her for coming at the supposedly wrong time for her driving lessons. Do not waste your money here people, this guy is a lunatic and I don’t know how this place is still in operation.
Good school and staff, bad with communication and answering the phone.
Lisa is lovely. She's been so helpful and great to work with.
This company is fraud. Don't trust the owner Lisa, she promises big and will not give time or classes to your kids to drive e.g. my daughter has done only 2 classes in last 3 months that too in night. I contacted them repeatedly to schedule drive times & they would text back saying they would call to reschedule at a certain time though no one ever did. Don't believe them as they flip and speak lie. I opened the chargeback.

The instructor David Mcginnis was rude and argumentative. Scheduling driving time was difficult due to limited hours and availability of instructors.
I have purchased driver's education, with driving hours and road testing from McGinnis School of Driving two times. The first time was for my 18 y.o. nephew, who moved in with us at the beginning of the COVID lockdowns. More recently, for my 15 y.o. daughter. Both were positive experiences overall. My nephew ended up completing the classroom portion and lacked the motivation to schedule the in-person driving lessons to obtain his license. This was not the fault of the school. Rather, it was the lack of motivation and initiative on his part to obtain a license. I don't fault the school for that. He still doesn't have a license (his choice) and relocated to a major metro area where public transit is readily available, which is probably in the best interest of public safety (LOL). My daughter, Savannah, had a wonderful experience. She liked the real life stories that were shared in class and learned a great deal. Although it was sometimes difficult to find available appointments for driving instruction that didn't conflict with her school and work schedules, she had a very positive experience. The instruction was great and very constructive. She wasn't offended by anything that was said by the instructors but she was appalled by some of the disrespectful behaviors exhibited by some of her classmates at times (Ex. talking on cellphone during class after being told devices should be turned off, being rude/disrespectful to the instructors, etc.). I might be viewed as a little old-fashioned in this sense but I was glad that the school took a no-nonsense approach to dealing with this sort of discourteous behavior. Parents send their kids to driving school to learn and to become responsible, safe drivers. It is a privilege to be afforded the opportunity to attend and they should appreciate that and take it seriously. It is the responsibility of the instructors to be sure that the students have met the minimum competency requirements to obtain licensure. Just because you pay for a class doesn't mean you automatically "pass" if you don't/won't/can't meet the standards. Personally, I appreciated the fact that my child wasn't just "passed" because we paid for it without the assurance that she was truly safe to operate a vehicle. I value her life and the lives of other too much to want her "passed" through Driver's Ed without having actual competency demonstrated. I feel confident that she is safe to drive, thanks to the instruction she received at McGinnis. While I do wish that there were more driving hours available for scheduling on weekends (the only negative thing I have to say), I am mostly grateful for individuals with the patience to teach these novice drivers. God knows that my nerves couldn't handle it and I was happy to pay a reasonable price to have the pros provide that! I am very satisfied with the instruction provided and plan to send my youngest daughter when she is old enough to start driving
I called to inquire for information before taking a class, woman answering the phone did not want to help me and had no idea what she was talking about. Then said "just look online" and hung up.
At first I was apprehensive to send my son here, because of all the reviews but I am very pleased to say that our experience was very positive my son enjoyed the class and Mr Mcginnis was an excellent instructor.
Dave and his son Ryan are great people. Thanks for the opportunity to learn from the nations best.
