I loved ABC driving school, and this is comeinf from someone who thought they didn’t want it for months. I had Mis oticha and she was awesome from day one she told me exactly what I needed to get to a point where I could easily pass my test and not be nervous or hesitant. She’s very kind talkative and is always encouraging when I’m driving. I feel safe in the car with Miss Oticha. I genuinely feel like she taught me so much and I’m so grateful for her help in me passing my test! If you I thinking about sending your kid to ABC driving school. I took adult driving lessons with Melissa and had a great experience. The school clearly cares about ensuring that their students actually learn something. There seemed to be a very clear laid out curriculum (at least for the 12 hour driving package) and I was exposed to all sorts of different driving (residential, highway, country roads, main roads, etc). They also teach a cone maneuverability technique that is practically foolproof.

Everybody was so kind to me and open and welcoming. Cassandra was my driving instructor and she was not only educational but also entertaining! She helped me become confident in my driving skills and also she taught me how to parallel park! Are you serious!! I’ve never done it before and now I know how!!! Overall 10/10 would recommend!

I had a great experience learning to drive with Safe Pass Driving School and the adult courses offered. I was a nervous beginner when I started, but instructor Jack was very patient, calm, and supportive throughout my lessons. His instructions were clear and easy to follow. The lessons were easy to schedule and I appreciated that we covered all types of driving such as residential streets, main roads, rural areas, and highway practice. Jack answered all of my questions and always provided honest feedback. I’m so much more confident now and was able to pass the driving test after my lessons. If you’re an adult learner or someone who deals with driving anxiety, I highly recommend Safe Pass.

I took the 8-hour behind-the-wheel course for limited term license students. I was really anxious and English isn’t my first language, so I was worried at the start. But my instructor, Chip, was patient and professional. Before each lesson, he quickly went over what we’d practice and what to focus on — it made me feel a lot more confident. Even when I made a mistake, he stayed calm and explained everything clearly. Driving felt much less stressful than I expected. Each lesson is 2 hours — first in the neighborhood, then country roads, then the freeway, and the last one is a full drive test simulation. I was able to start just a week after signing up. Everything was handled by email and text — no phone calls, which I really appreciated. Highly recommend this school!

Mrs.Donna is an excellent driving instructor! She is very laid back and will not cause any worry for new drivers. I learn a lot from my drive times!

I had Ms. Donna for my final two driving sessions and she was amazing. She taught me the correct way to do maneuverability, she was funny, and she helped me relax while I was on the road. I highly recommend her for drive times because she is very understanding. She went out of her way to schedule me on days off, move the location, and would help me work on anything I asked. She was by far my favorite instructor.

My experience with Mrs. Donna was very good. We drove on the highway, we did maneuverability and she taught me how to do merges correctly. I appreciate her time as well as her conversation she made. At first, I was really nervous about the driving test, but my instructor Andrew helped me so much. He gave me practical tricks and life hacks, especially for backing up and parallel parking, which really helped during the test. Because I had those tricks, I wasn’t nervous at all. On top of that, he has a great sense of humor and is just a really fun person to be around, which made the lessons enjoyable and easy to learn from. Highly recommend!

I had the experience of driving lessons this past spring with Cox Mckenzie School of Driving. It was extremely unpleasant and dissatisfactory to say the least. My driving instructor would show up late to our scheduled appointments, and then would try to also cancel on me 20 - 15 minutes prior to my appointment that I already had paid over $600 for. I would get sent messages that said my appointment that again I had already paid for were being rescheduled out of my control. Not to mention the instructor never took me out of East Grand Rapids School zones for my road practice, which is only 25 mph. whenever I made a mistake it wasn’t followed up with constructive criticism, it was followed up with over reacting while I’m behind the wheel yelling “what did you do that for!” like the instructor wasn’t supposed to be the one guiding me. The instructor wouldn’t ever vocialize things I could be approving, nothing. I would be driving along a busy street and the instructor would just yell out “Turn here! Turn here! Turn here!” and give me absolutely no heads up, no warning beforehand about where I was supposed to be going or be turning. I ultimately didn’t even get to finish my last two sessions with them because it was so unprofessional. Not to mention I just went to reach out to Andrew Cox himself and it seems he has blocked my number so I can no longer correspond with him about anything regarding the whole situation. Which only further adds to my point. So I would say if you are 18+ looking for a place to help you get comfortable on the road without wasting a ton of money this is NOT the place. Do yourself a huge favor and don’t waste your time or your money!

This is the place to go if you are learning how to drive. The instructors are great, price is great, tips they give you are great, and just there is no better driving training in the city. Wish I could give more than 5 stars

This is by far the best driving school in Michigan. A lot of driving schools just reiterate what you learn on paper, but here you'll learn actual driving skills. They also don't scam you, I asked about taking more lessons than I should initially, and they were honest about not needing more than I thought initially. He was correct, and I passed my exam with no effort.

Beach Driving Academy was awesome!!!! The communication and professionalism was exactly what we needed. My son struggled several times to pass the written test and by the time he got behind the wheel he had become fairly nervous and had a fairly high level of anxiety. The team at Beach driving academy helped with quickly illuminating any fears or anxiety he had and within a week he was on his way to getting his license. I would highly recommend them to anybody who is looking for the best!

I can't say enough nice things about the driving instructor, David. He did an amazing job with my granddaughter. But the owner/scheduler is a different story. I received one return phone call from her. Then after paying $600 for 10 hours of driving classes, I could not get her to answer emails, text or messages left on her phone. All I wanted was to know when we would receive her completion certificate or an explanation as to why my granddaughter wasn't receiving it. I left my number and my granddaughters registration number. Also be sure you get your driving instructors contact number. Every time slot she gave me was different than the time she gave the instructor. All 10 classes were completed. India if you had contacted me as requested numerous times, this review would not be here today. This has been going on since March 2024. Plenty of time to have resolved this situation.

Really easy, our teacher was a 10 out of 10, she understood that we have lives so if we needed to take a call or use the restroom no issue, learned a lot easy class to understand

Barrett was truly an amazing instructor. I wish everyone who had to attend driving school had Barrett. He made sure we understood absolutely everything and didn’t continue without making sure we all understood. I’m almost 30 but because of him I learned a few things I never knew prior to attending

Independientemente de yo ser de la 3ra edad y nunca haber conducido, en solo 4 clases ya estaba lista para presentarme al examen según la instructora. La recomiendo 100%, lo que aprendas con ella jamás lo vas a olvidar, en cada semáforo, en cada señal de tráfico lo vas a poner en práctica y lo vas a hacer correctamente. I’ve been looking for months for a reliable dependable Driving School , then I was referred to Rasheen at PA One Way Driving School. I have twin daughters so the task was a little more challenging, but he was able to help and within a couple of months they both received their drivers license on the first try. Highly recommend 🌟

I had a great experience with this driving school! I only booked one hour of practice, but it made a huge difference. The instructor was super nice, patient, and made me feel comfortable right away. He gave really helpful tips and pointed out things I wouldn’t have noticed on my own. Even with just that one hour, I felt more confident—and I ended up passing my driving test! Highly recommend, especially if you’re nervous or just need a quick refresher before your exam.

I highly recommend PA One way driving school. Because Mr. Resheed always come on time. Very friendly and experienced. I thought I could never learn how to drive, but under his guidance today i passed my drivers test first time and I’m able to drive. I highly recommend him to those who can’t drive.

Took my road test 11/1/2024. I was a little apprehensive going in to taking the road test. I went through this driving school because of all of the positive reviews. I went out practicing twice before my test, the had a review right before I took my test. I felt I was thoroughly prepared and I passed my road test. Parallel parking was made incredibly I would definitely recommend pa one way driving school to anybody that needs or wants to practice before taking the road test.

Terrible. Today (Sept 29th, 2025) they accepted far more appointments than they were able to accommodate and continued to allow walk ins with only 2 instructors. They shouted at and threatened customers (the owner threatened a woman with his fist at one point) for politely asking what was going to happen in regards to their exams. The 2 instructors, including the owner, eventually barricaded themselves in the office until the police had to come and force them to give people their ids back and refunds on the exam fees. The owner Ari is ill tempered, incompetent and cannot manage a business, do not under any circumstances take your exam or class here.

As a student who has much to learn, Mr. Spearman was very helpful. He taught me a lot in just 4 hours of in car. He was kind, asked me about myself, and very funny. He made my in car experience much more enjoyable and fun. Not only did he continuously make me laugh, but he also taught me a lot about driving. He was a very chill and nice guy. Would recommend for other students.

We were on a tight schedule. Overbeke was very responsive to getting the lessons completed well before our deadline, quickly addressed any difficulties on their and our sides. The driving instructors seemed good with our anxious kid. Certificate of completion arrived quickly. Texting was best way to communicate (if your texts go unanswered, be sure to ping them again). We used Overbeke 20 years ago and this year. Both times were excellent. Highly recommend.

Mr. Brown is a very good teacher, excellent communicator and genuinely open-minded, entrepreneurial person. I felt that the online course material was very exhaustive (probably ten times more than what the average driver knows about traffic rules, signage, defensive driving, car maintenance). Highly recommend his in-person and online courses.

My 16 year old son just finished his 8 hour behind the week course with BTW. We had a fantastic experience. I can say that he truly was taught how to drive during this experience. He started with very little experience in a car (just parking lots) and had the confidence to drive on a highway by the end. His driver was patient and calm and taught in a way that gave him the information and that he needed to be a good and confident driver. I feel like they did the "hard" part of this for us and now we are just giving him experience but without the stress of teaching him to drive. I have 2 younger kids and we will definitely go back.

My son had an excellent experience at Behind the Wheel, both for his in-class session and in-car driving. His driving instructor was WONDERFUL! He is great with teenagers…took an interest in him and his hobbies, patiently instructed him, and gave productive feedback to help him get better at driving. My daughter's confidence has grown after spending 8 hours with Ben. He immediately identified and corrected some inconsistencies with her driving style and redirected her with positivity and a different approach to handling difficult situations such as merging in traffic and sudden road construction. As a bonus, she now can park better than me!

Hey I just had my first driving lesson with Express Driving School, which is my second lesson ever. I felt absolutely blessed to drive with them. The instructor, Joe was patient, very safe and informative. I felt heard and validated, and actually enjoyed the lesson as I began to learn more and get good verbal and non-verbal feedback that told me weather I was on the right track or not. He also gave me something’s to work on so that I could pass my exam coming up. I felt good vibes all around that said this driving school wants to teach and not just make a quick buck, I highly recommend this school to all new drivers. Thanks !!…. A couple weeks later I now have my drivers license, I took the test this morning and passed!!! I’m so greatful for Express Driving School. The instructors Jay and Joe are awesome. They are both patient but steady in their methods, have a good outlook on life and are focused. This reassured me that I was in good hands and was another thing that prompted me to keep going. Looking back I’m remembering my first driving lesson with Joe, I remember how he helped me face a fear I had about driving in my lane, I was driving closer to the side walk because I didn’t want to get too close to the incoming cars lol so thanks again Joe, he helped me crush that fear, slowly but surely… I once again recommend Express Driving School for all new drivers or maybe even experienced drivers that may want to sharpen their skills a bit.

I chose the one hour + car for road test package deal and had Joe as my driving instructor. I told him I had experience driving but concerns about parallel parking, he gave me the run down of “landmarks” to look for when parking. He also gave me pointers for things to watch while driving and we went through the exact course that was for the test. I passed with no corrections! He’s the best!

Instructor is very patient, teaches you every you need to know for the test, great at explaining any mistakes and exactly how to fix them because of this I was able to pass my test on the first try after the first week.

I was recommended by a coworker to Ancy's D. School and I'm sooo happy i made the decision of allowing him to be my tutor. Ancy is an incredibly reliable and trustworthy instructor. He will explain to you how to do certain things, as well as give you tips. Ancy is super friendly and he will believe in you. He will help you prepare for your road test, as well as give you tips on how to pass your road test, like videos and things that you should expect.

HUGE thank you to PA Driving School and Dave!!! I am a 33 year old first time driver and went through them to get my license. I passed the test and got my license on the first try! I used them for both the lessons and for the test (they schedule you, take you there, give you a warm up before, and then take you home). All you have to do is show up and apply yourself. Bick's East was very easy to work with. Randy was prompt when returning messages and we had an easy time setting up in-car lessons for our daughter. She said her instructor was very nice and helped calm her nerves. We would recommend Bick's East!

My instructor Nickolas did a great job at helping me ease my driving fears and become comfortable with performing certain car maneuvers.

Bick's East was easy to work with and located very conveniently on Beechmont Ave. The class scheduling was easy to navigate and Randy and his team did their best to get the in car sessions scheduled quickly. They also reached out to move up appointments when there was an opening so my driver could finish quicker. We also signed up for the in-person class and would highly recommend it. We feel prepared for our new driver to drive solo.

I had the misfortune of being behind one of these drivers this morning. I understand that these are students, so I made sure to give a decent berth. However, the instructor had the student slam on her brakes in the left lane (almost causing a multi-vehicle accident), come to a complete stop, and proceed to turn all the way into the right turn lane from the far left lane. It makes me nervous that these are the people teaching kids how to drive!

My daughter is working with Lacey. Lacey has given her more confidence than she ever had driving before. She really enjoys her lessons instead of dreading them. I highly recommend her as a wonderful instructor that really knows what your teenager needs to work on. Thank you Lacey!

I cannot say enough good things about Glenn as s driving instructor!!! This is one of the best investments in my daughter and her education that I have ever made. Glenn gave driving lessons to my daughter last fall and she got a 100% on the driving exam and that was in a Hummer! She was thrilled with that and so were we. Not only did he cover al the basics, he also covers so much that we would never have thought of if we only taught her ourselves. Most importantly, he gave her confidence in every driving situation. We'll be using Mid-America Driving Acandemy again for our other 2 sons.

My daughter's driving lessons with Glenn were exceptional! Glenn not only taught my daughter to drive safely in many driving conditions, but gave her (and her parents) confidence in her driving abilities! They were amazing!! We used Brian for our daughter and he was great with her. He made her feel confident and comfortable and made us feel the same way! She passed her test with confidence and ease! I felt that Brian went above and beyond with talking to her about how to be aware of her surroundings when she is alone in the car, and what she could do to protect herself. I recently took my drivers test and passed! I had Therese as my driving instructor and she is such a great teacher. She has such a fun personality and is a harsh teacher but in the nicest way possible. She makes sure that you know what to do and what not to do behind the wheel. Therese is a great instructor who has a lot of experience with her job and I was always learning whenever I was with her. My daughter really liked the instructors they were very professional. She wanted to keep the same instructor from her first session But he wasn't available for her session lass so she had a different instructor which also was very professional and funny she really liked that. Daniel was very patient and helpful. He took teach me how to control the clutch and move on from there with low speed driving. Overall recommended for beginners like me.

Daniel was an excellent instructor, very calm and very knowledgeable. After 3 hours, I felt that I had gained a basic understanding of how manual driving works. I was very nervous and maybe a bit hesitant, but it was definitely worth the time. I would consider another lesson in the future.

John is FANTASTIC!!! I took two lessons with him, and the day after my second lesson, I was able to take my 1990 Miata on a 3 hour road trip. I could not recommend Stick Shift Driving Academy enough, and especially John!!

John is a genius explaining not only HOW to use the stick shift, but also the science or mechanics behind it. He explained everything thoroughly and patiently, and took as much time as was needed with every step. He also had great stories and was a fun person to spend a few hours in a car with. Now I wish I OWNED a stick shift so I could drive it all the time, instead of just renting one in Europe.
