I took sixteen lessons with Sky Auto Driving School, and I just took my road test today and passed! Thank you so much! Special shout out to Karina! She is not only professional, patient, and knowledgeable, she pays extra close attention to what you need to work on and makes sure to make an extra effort to ensure you master that skill. Karina learned I was taking my road test in New Rochelle and went above and beyond by making sure I was comfortable going up and down hills during my lessons, as that was something that I would likely come across during my test. She is truly the epitome of a dedicated and caring teacher. It speaks volumes about the driving school and the standards they hold for the instructors they hire.
This is my second time using sky auto and the team is beyond amazing. Everyone was super supportive. I couldn’t have done it without them and their encouragement. Shout out to Leo, Diego and Karina (I hope I spelled her name correctly) I will be back for highway lessons soon.

Overall, this is an exceptional driving school. I signed up for the 10 lesson package. It was worth the price. I passed my road test on my first attempt because my instructor was Fabian! I couldn’t thank him enough. He not only taught me how to drive well but gave me advice on what to do after I get my license. He was a critical instructor at times which was very helpful. It was the moments when he was most critical that had improved my driving skills significantly. He has a great personality and taught me well. I won’t ever forget how I enjoyed learning to drive with him. I absolutely recommend Fabian to be your instructor.
Really wonderful driving school. I already had my license from a different country but hadn’t driven properly in several years and lacked confidence. Jorge gave me so many helpful tips and tricks and was great at improving my confidence. Within 3 lessons, he had me ready to take my test and I passed first time! Everyone is really kind and lovely and they were also super helpful when it came to booking the road test. Highly recommend for anyone looking to take driving lessons.
Cedeno is a fantastic driving school & I highly recommend! Everyone from the front desk to the instructors are extremely friendly & welcoming. I had Luis Daniel for majority of my lessons & he was a great teacher. He was super patient with me & very good at explaining exactly what the inspectors are looking for the day of the road test. I took my exam today and passed! Thank you everyone again for all your help!
They were very helpful and managed to accommodate me at short notice and rearrange my test. I already had a UK licence so just needed to take the test with them and understand the basics of the test. Can’t fault them. Worth noting though that you can end up waiting a long time for the test. Not their fault, it’s the DMV’s process. But worth noting.
Absolutely the best choice in NYC. George is probably one of the best instructors not just in driving but in terms anyone ever teaching me he has made stuff click and make sense. He's also just a cool dude to talk with which makes the driving more seamless. If you have never driven a car before there is nothing to worry. I am almost 30 and all I had to do was book lessons with this school and you will not only learn how to drive but to pass the test and exactly what the instructors are looking for.

I got lessons here this summer with the intention of finally getting my license. I’d gone driving a handful of times in the past two years since I got my permit, but nothing really stuck, and I definitely wouldn’t have been ready for the test. I took about 7-8 lessons here with Jose. He was kind, patient, and specific, everything you’d want when learning to drive, especially in NYC. Very affordable pricing, especially considering the demands on the teacher; gives you the option to do packages, which is smart if you’re a new student and need the time. Recently, I took my road test in Red Hook brooklyn. Booking through the DMV would’ve taken me all the way to Long Island, but through the school it was only a quick train ride away! I took a refresher with Moris right before and he made sure I didn’t make any stupid mistakes during the real thing. And… I passed! I’m so glad my friend introduced me to this place and I hope I can do the same for you! 11/10, choose this place if you want to become an actually good driver. P.S. they offer lessons for a variety of learners, new and old, on the streets as well as on the highway. Sooo, there’s really no reason why you shouldn’t get your lessons here :)
Really great group of instructors! I don't usually bother to write reviews, but I decided to post this after passing my road test in Red Hook because I'm very grateful to the instructors here and reading about other peoples' positive experiences helped me when I was nervous about signing up for lessons. Even though I live in Manhattan, I was initially uncertain about taking lessons in this area, and so I started by taking lessons in another borough at different schools. However, I got tired of commuting to another borough and decided to give Confident Driver a try. Turns out that there was nothing to worry about, and it would have been fine to start here. The reason is that the instructors here are very patient and thorough, and they are good at starting you off on quieter side streets before working up to more intense situations. Although there's a lot going on in Manhattan, learning here really prepares you well and forces you to have good awareness about bicyclists and pedestrians. I passed the road test in Red Hook on my first try and it felt very easy after all the practice driving in Manhattan. I took most of my lessons with Otto and Omari, who are both really kind and good at explaining things. I also took a few lessons with Jose at the end who gave me some good pointers. While I didn't take any lessons with the owner, Morris, he is also very nice and easy to get in touch with if you have any problems or need to schedule a road test. It really felt more like a personal connection to a small business, as compared to some of the other bigger schools in the city that dominate a lot of the Google search results and feel a bit more impersonal.
I’ve had a fantastic experience with this driving school. I’ve taken lessons primarily with Otto, who is the greatest instructor I could’ve hoped for. I also enjoyed my lessons with Omari. The instructors are incredibly patient, helpful, knowledgeable, and calm. They’re also wonderful people and I really look forward to spending time with them every week. With their support, I was able to pass my road test seamlessly on the first try. Morris was very helpful with scheduling my road test within days. I feel confident as a driver in one of the most difficult cities to drive in, and I’m continuing to take highway lessons with them even after receiving my license. I would wholeheartedly recommend this school to anyone looking to learn or refresh their driving skills.

I had failed my road test 2 times before deciding to switch driving schools and come to Gold Success. Mr. Frank is such a great instructor, he really explains everything to you, gives you tips on how to properly park, and he boosts your confidence to a 10. I just passed my road test this week thanks to this great driving school. LEO was an amazing teacher. Very detailed, patient, and insightful. He has a lot of tips and tricks to polish your driving and mold you into a pro. I never paralleled park or done a three point turn before and on my first class with Leo I was already doing so because of the way he explains things. Honestly best teacher I could have gotten. Will be recommending him to all my family and friends that are looking to get their license. Overall great experience!
This place took exceptionally long to schedule and finalize a road test. I took the pre-licensing course about a month ago and a month after received a text saying that I can sign my document which made me wonder how long will it take to actually get my drivers test done , It’s been two months and I’m still waiting

Over the summer, I enrolled in the 5 hour pre-licensing course, 15 lessons and road test exam package and was finally able to pass it after several previously failed attempts. George (or "Sarge" as I like to refer him as) initially assessed my driving skills then tailored lessons, leading up to the road test, to address the observed weaknesses for improvement. They were considerate as well as mindful about my availability and created an accommodating schedule around it. What I personally found most helpful were the driving assessments that mimicked the seriousness of the actual road test but in a less-intense manner. Family owned and embedded into the community that they serve!
I chose George because of the overwhelmingly positive reviews. After taking his lessons and passing the road test, I've come to reiterate these testaments: George is an instructor you can trust and will come to cherish. He makes sure to equip students with both the mechanical and cognitive skillsets to be safe yet confident drivers. Not only so, but it is also a pleasure to be in his company, as George's witty remarks are always able to create a lighthearted atmosphere, which I found to be especially enjoyable when navigating anxiety-inducing streets such as East Broadway. I highly recommend 1st SGT Driving Academy. I waited until my 30s to learn how to drive and George was a thorough and knowledgeable instructor. If it is your first time behind a wheel - opt for the 15 class package. George teaches you everything you need to know for the driving test, and you practice on the streets of Two Bridges. After studying the NY Driving manual and practicing during the 15 classes, I felt confident in my skills and even passed the driving test on my first go-around. Can't recommend them enough!

Each and every lesson was worthwhile. Both of my instructors were quick in correcting my errors, offering advice, and pointing out little details to help me drive the vehicle with confidence. I 100% recommend Acropolis Driving School to anyone who wants their drivers license! I chose the 5-lesson package since I’d already practiced a bit with family but I wanted to work on my anxiety behind the wheel. Three of my lessons were with Luis, who was incredible! He taught me how to drive more smoothly, transition comfortably from brake to gas, park perfectly, and make smoother turns. He was extremely patient and always boosted my confidence. My driving anxiety is now gone, and I passed my road test on the first try! My other two instructors were also patient and super helpful, even though I only had them once each. Lissy who is at the front desk was amazing. From the start she explained everything clearly and made the process easy to understand and is always greeting you once you walk through the door. Also, big shoutout to Iralda, who made it possible for me to take my exam sooner before heading back to school.

I would recommend this Agile Driving School for the best customer service and well trained teachers. I have driving experiences before so I only took a minimum lesson with Road Test package. They are professional and handle fast process in both driving class and road test appointment. I passed my road test in Garden City Road Test Site. The whole process took within 2 weeks and got my license. Thanks Agile Team. Please keep up the teaching quality and customer service. Suggestion - It would be great if the class cars need some upgrades or need some interior repairs, seats, etc.

I’m here to give an honest review as most of the reviews you see are only from people who passed because the school actively encourages them to leave a positive review. I did not pass and immediately called to rebook a test but they told me to wait 3 weeks for an appointment but they didn’t reach out to me at all for over a month. I had to call them to ask for an explanation but the receptionist who I spoke to pretended she was the manager when I asked to speak to one but she was in fact, the same person that told me to wait for an appointment. She did not even help or give an explanation all she said was “sorry for the inconvenience.” It’s more than an inconvenience, it’s a waste of my time. I would have gone to another driving school if I knew that they would ignore me like I wasn’t a paying customer who gave them a lot of my hard-earned money. Disgraceful. As for the instructors themselves, Erika was good. Then I had a male instructor who 2 days before my test made me practice manoeuvres for 2 hours straight (which I was clearly was competent in) instead of actual driving on the road. Then the day of the test I had a different woman instructor Jeanette who just made me feel nervous because she panics at every little thing. The five hour course was ridiculous because everything was repeated in Spanish and took up a lot of time. Overall, very disappointed and it was a waste of time and money. They don’t care about you if you fail and have already given them money. They will ignore you.

Hi my name is Barbara Braithwaite and today I can safely say after sitting in the 5-hr class last night, I am very, very happy. The instructor did a phenomenal job, I am excited to do my road test now through Drive Rite because of the instructor. Thanks so much, I am very happy today.
I took the 5 hour online course with Ellen, who was knowledgeable and engaging. She made what is a very long course more enjoyable. Not sure if she only does the 5 hour courses, but I would probably want her to be my driving instructor.
So far I’ve only taken the 5 hour class and it was good. For me, the sign-up process was smooth, the fees were clear, and taking the class online at home was super convenient. Just be aware that after you sign up and before class starts, you will have to keep on top of the confirmation e-mails, upload a copy of your permit and have reliable access to Zoom. Also, there is a twenty minute break but other than that you should be ready to sit and have your camera on for the whole class. I was a little worried because I went to other driving schools years ago and encountered instructors who were really sketchy or just plain rude, but our instructor Ellen was pleasant, knowledgable, and professional. I plan to try their driving lessons soon.

Overall, I had a pleasant experience with Drive Rite Academy. The prices were affordable for the lessons I selected. They were flexible with my schedule as they could get considering how quickly they would get booked. Out of the 2 instructors I practiced with, Sam was by far the best as he was informative and demonstrative of how to better understand the road and what was expected of me during my Road Test. Thanks to Sam, I passed my Road Test on my first try. I highly recommend this place to anyone pushing to get their license.

I had to leave a review even though it’s been a while since I passed my test because this driving school really made a difference for me. They made it so easy to start lessons right away and work around my schedule. My instructor, Darbbin, was amazing — he made me feel comfortable from the start, always kept things light with jokes, and gave really clear tips that helped me improve, especially with parking. On the day of my road test, I was super nervous, but he helped calm me down and gave me the confidence I needed to pass. I couldn’t have done it without him!

I took my road test today and passed on my first try all thanks to my instructor Denise! She is the sweetest, kindest and most encouraging individual I have ever met. She helped me get comfortable behind the wheel and was very patient with me. I always felt like I was driving with a friend that cheered me on consistently and calmly explained to me what I needed to work on. I always enjoyed my lessons with Denise. I made a friend for life. Highly recommend taking lessons from here. It is easy to schedule them and purchase them online. I took the 5 hour course and a few driving lessons. Mr. Adolfo Rodriguez is very patient and helpful. He provides tips and sends additional information after the lessons to review. I passed the road test on my first try thanks to him helping me with parking. Overall, I had a great experience here.

Everlina was the absolute best instructor! My daughter was nervous to start but Everlina immediately put her at ease. She was super flexible with our tight scheduling needs and my daughter passed her road test on her first try! Everlina definitely prepared her well and I now have a confident, licensed driver.
I found this driving school after several failed road test exams. I had a lot of anxiety around driving and after some research, found Ms Everlina. She was so organized in coordinating the lessons and was never late! She took the time to explain every rule, technique and how to react in various situations. While strict and straightforward, she was also encouraging and kind. I don’t think I could have passed my road test without her and I’m going to miss our time together. She’s truly an one size fits all instructor and I would recommend her to anyone!

The best instructor i had is Jeremy, booked my last minute driving lesson today, and he gave me a lot of tip especially on parallel parking as i get difficulty doing it. JR has been a stellar instructor: I picked up lessons after 10 years to try at it again and JR has been my night teacher after work. Charismatic, knowledgeable, and speaks to me in a way that computes (as I know my stress levels and panic can often kick in), I find myself more confident than ever on this upcoming round of trying my test again.

I’m reading all the reviews about people passing their driving test after 2 lessons. And that makes sense to you all???? He tried the same thing with me and I said NO. I did not pay $600 for me to take 3 lessons (without teaching me how to park yet) and take the exam!!! I wanted all of my 11 lessons!! And you all should want to take all your lessons too!! And due to that when I took me lesson the instructor failed me with 90 points!!! How does someone that takes 11 lessons and fail with 90 points???? Sounds like a set up to me!! I do not recommend this school!! Anyone that does not allow you to complete your lessons before taking an exam is not a good look to me!!! Take a look at my test!! How can I be going to slow but driving close behind someone???? See it does not make sense!! I got cheated out of my $600 and it sucks!!!

Yess this was the best school I went to. I pass on my first try on Oct 18th 2024 I did 7 lessons with Prince Driving School. I couldn’t believe that I passed with the confidence, practice and not rushing. Supervisor Chris is the best instructor and he is excellent at what he does and he’s advice to the students. Chris works with your schedule to make it convenient for both and every students in his class. He is very understanding once you aren’t good at certain skills he is willing to work on the mistakes to make it better and for his students to pass. Best choice I ever made; well recommend I'm a proud student.

The instructors here are also super friendly, patient, supportive and knowledgeable. They will walk you through every single step you need to know in order to pass your road test. I want to thank Leo for being patient & funny and I also want to give an especial thanks to one of my favorite instructors, NATHAN. Curve Driving School was awesome! Ian and Anthony were both super chill and really helpful. They made learning to drive way less stressful and were always patient and clear with their instructions. The 45-minute lessons were perfect — just enough time to stay focused and build confidence without feeling overwhelmed. Booking the actual road test through them was super easy too — I didn’t have to wait months like I expected. Now that I’ve finished, I’m super excited and confident to finally hit the road on my own. Listen, if you're looking to book your driving lessons and not sure which school to choose, I highly recommend CURVE Driving School. Ian was my instructor, and he was more than amazing, he is a great instructor too. After failing two road tests with other schools, I passed my test today after just three lessons with Ian. He was patient with me and explained everything in depth. Whatever they're charging, it's definitely bang for your buck!

I’m going to be very straightforward, if you want to pass that test take your driving lessons here. I have had the best experience. I felt super comfortable and reassured the entire time. The instructor was very informative and didn’t let me give up even when I wanted to. I have been to other driving schools in the past, but nothing compared to the quality and Love they have at the Veloz driving school.

This school is really good at teaching you the basics of driving and preparing you for the road test. I took their package deal of 15 classes because I was a new driver and didn’t have anyone in my family to teach me. Both instructors helped me out a lot and were patient with me. I passed my exam yesterday at the Fresh Medow DMV site.

Romeo is like no other teacher I have met before, he would pick me up at my house at 5 in the morning to take me to practice , and he would also record everything I do so I could keep watching it until the day of the test. You really do get your moneys worth out of this school and service that he gives. Definitely recommending this to anybody who is a new driver.

My experience with Himalayan driving school was amazing. They are easy to communicate regarding scheduling the five hour class and the driving classes. I had Ms.Shaheeda as an instructor and had my five classes with her . She is amazing and very patient and easy to communicate with. I pass my road test today on the very first attempt . My driving instructor was Shahida and she was absolutely amazing! I did the 10 lesson package which came with the car for the road test and the 5 hour class. The team on the phone made it pretty easy to schedule the lessons as well. From the moment I started the classes, my instructor made me feel safe and they were extremely easy to talk to. Shahida made sure to explain each step and was extremely cautious but clam. They also provided examples, different roads/streets for you to practice to gain better experience and confidence on the road. They provided multiple reminders throughout the lesson and are extremely honest. I couldn’t have asked for a better instructor. I myself took additional classes just so I could be extra prepared for the road test and I passed with flying colors. I truly enjoyed my time with this school and would definitely recommend anyone who is inexperienced to go here to learn. The prices are also fair compared to the other schools in Queens, honestly could not ask for more.

100% recommend this school!! I just completed my 5 classes package and the Road Test through Jessi Driving School and believe me I never believed I could pass in the first try or even in a couple of tests! And I JUST DID and I now have my interim NY license!!! I cannot be more thankful to their amazing instructors for teaching me the right techniques, my shortcomings as a driver, and what to focus on to improve. My first class was the pre-licensing test and Mario Rosario was the lead instructor- the content was very helpful to prepare me for my upcoming classes with them. Followed by the 5 classes, 2 with Mario, 1 with Alfredo and 2 with Miguel. All 3 instructors guided me very well on the right skills, especially Mario Rosario who was very encouraging on my last class right before the test. I 100% recommend joining their classes for the entire experience right from the classes to the day of the test, creating the right environment to calm your nerves and be your best version at the day of the test!! PS: I passed my test at Red Hook test location with 10 points for turning and intersections: poor judgement approaching or at intersections. Make sure you are planning ahead of time for the classes, as they have a lot of students applying for classes and you may end up finding available slots a few weeks ahead.

You need yourself a Johnny Scott, guarantee success. 2nd Review: Oct 28, 2025, Passed my road test today, all because I had Johnny Scott has my driver instructor, and not only that, I had him for one 90min driving lesson and one 30 min driving lesson before the drivers test and I still passed, also because I chose to take the information and tips Johnny told me on the first lesson and wrote it down and study the night before test as well. Working with Johnny Scott will always have you prepared, whether you have 3 lessons with him or only 1, doesn’t matter, he’s great at what he’s does and it will get it done affectively. Johnny Scott in your guy, when it comes to driving period. Thank you Johnny Scott for all that you do.
My instructor Johnny Scott was very good and respectful and took his time and taught me everything I needed to know and also answered any of my questions I had. He also interacted with us and I can tell he cares about his job and what he does.
Mr. Johnny Scott is a phenomenal instructor. I thought I was wasting my time and money paying for a lesson, but after riding with and being critiqued by Johnny I know I wouldn’t have passed without the extra guidance and advice he provided me with. When I say my test examiner was calling my techniques perfect!! I mean that would not be the case if I wasn’t provided with the knowledge I received that morning from Johnny. I strongly advise getting a lesson prior to your road test because you never know what little (but very important) details you may miss out on. And for those of you who don’t get the opportunity to have a lesson with Johnny, I recommend purchasing his book, “Drive Alive”. Not only is it affordable but it is everything and more for what you’d need to pass this exam, first try. I will be purchasing it for my sister in the near future! Great instructor! Guides you through everything very concisely. Easy going personality to put you in a comfortable environment to learn and comprehend the steps and fundamentals for driving, Highly recommend having Johnny for lessons! I started off as a completely new driver going to this school. All of the instructors, especially Karim and Lemon, helped me grow so much in my journey to driving. I drive a car for many years before I move to NYC. Then I did not buy a car and take subway only in Manhattan. Recently, after a couple of years of stop driving, I decided to get the drivers license in NYC. I failed my exam with my first driving school then I decided to change the driving school. I read some reviews on Perfect Park Driving School and decided to take lessons with them. It turns out that this is a great school !!and I 100% recommend them. The instructor ( Mr. Matis) is one of the best instructors ! He is professional, encouraging and answer every question that you may have. The whole school staff is super kind and supportive. I got a 15 hour package which also includes the 5 hour class and road test. I had every practice session with Monty, who is an excellent instructor, and I passed the road test easily in large measure due to how well he prepared me. I had no trouble scheduling practice sessions, and got all 15 hours in in about 2.5 weeks. I intend to go back to perfect park for highway practice now that I have my license. I can't speak highly enough of Monty's ability as a teacher. He starts you on slow, easy driving and gradually ramps up the challenges as you prove yourself. He pays attention to how you succeed: in my case, background chatter helps me focus so he would keep a steam of consciousness going as I drove. He is always calm and stays positive: every mistake is a chance to learn through nudges and suggestions or (much more rarely, as when I missed a stop sign) a gently spoken directive to pull the car over and talk through how a poor choice happened. Monty makes sure you know the elements of the drivers exam cold: parallel parking, 3 point turns, stop signs, and turning from 1 way roads into 2 way roads and vice versa, over and over again until it's pure muscle memory.

I chose this driving school because it was conveniently located for me, and I’m glad I went in and restarted this journey. I say restarted because I took lessons with *another* driving school, and sadly I failed the road test. I knew I had to make the investment again, and that was okay since this school like many others, gives you options. I had already completed my 5 hour class online and they gladly accommodated. My instructor goes by Chiquita. Chiquita will tell it how it is and I appreciated that she kept it real with me. She pointed out my areas of growth as well as my strengths. She helped me gain the confidence I needed to be a safe driver and ultimately pass the road test! I think it was sweet that she checked up on me to see how I did. I knew I had made some mistakes, but Janet - also an instructor & drove another student and I to the road test - reassured me it would be okay, and it was! I've had a fantastic experience with this driving school. I want to express my appreciation to the front desk ladies for their kindness and attention to every detail. My driving instructor was Mr. Francisco, and he is truly exceptional. If you're looking for an instructor who isn't a control freak and will reassure you even if you make a mistake, I highly recommend trying a lesson with Mr. Francisco. I made sure to take all my lessons with him, and I passed my road test on the first try thanks to his excellent teaching. Thank you all for your hard work, and keep it up!

Professor Jose was amazing, not a single time I felt bored or uninterested. If you sign up for the renewal class, please ask to be placed in Mr. Jose’s classroom. You will not regret taking the day off to take this class.👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾

We went there to reinstate the TLC plate. The office is located in the same floor as the Uber office. We were walk-in and did not have any prior appointment. They gave us the information which was available on the website. Not much helpful I must admit.
