First off, I paid for this on my own so I'm going to give a honest review and opinion.. 1. The first 40 hours of lecture ELDT was very knowledgeable if you paid attention, you will learn a lot from that. I thought there would be a actual instructor but it was all over zoom calls. James, the online instructor, was very knowledgeable on knowing how to get things out that are important. Overall, he was excellent at his job, only thing I would want more was for them to answer more of my questions that I thought was important for to ask. We had to be there at 8am but everyday we couldn't get started because we had to wait for the door to be unlocked by the branch manager. Class started at 8am btw on the 'zoom' so some stuff was missed cause we couldn't sign in on time. 2. The yard training was good when the instructors had time to get with you. They seemed overloaded with students and had barely any running trucks to practice in. Spending 5500 for each student you would think none of that would be a problem but it seemed 160 didn't want to fix trucks or hire more instructors for the amount of students they got flooded with.. 3. Instructors were great! When they saw you struggle they would take the time to help you and figure out what your doing wrong etc. Buck, AB, a Aron, and derrrik, were great to work with and always had a great attitude. They provided great words of encouragement before I even tested. Overall, I had a good experience but there was a good couple times a week I would wonder what I paid 5k on. The manager didn't seem very enthused that you're trying to better your life with a career change, and made it difficult to get ahold of him most of the time. It could've been better and a lot of room for improvement on their side.....
I had a great experience at 160 Driving Academy! The instructors were hands-on and very passionate about giving us the tools that we need to succeed in the trucking industry. I also got a chance to meet some great people in the process. If you're interested in getting your CDL this is the place to be! Shout out to Alvarez, Buck, Cory, John, Colton, and Austin!
It’s a great program. Overall experience from start to finish. Austin was great to work with and got me enrolled and answered every question I had. Instructors Buck, Cory, John and Alvarez all top notch experts in the field of driving and driver training. All around great guys to be around and learn from. I took the 30 hours online course lessons and 8 hours of behind the wheel driving lessons with James Dix III. He is a phenomenal driving instructor and taught me how to better myself not only as a driver but as a person. He helped me to become more confident and believe in myself and taught me valuable life lessons during our instruction, and I feel more confident in my life and as a driver, I am currently completing my driving log and aim to complete the driver's test with him as well. I highly recommend him as a teacher, life coach, motivator, and driving instructor. I felt very safe during the lessons and he helped me challenge myself and build upon areas that needed improvement with each succeeding lesson. If you want to learn safe and defensive driving techniques and how to become a careful and conscientious driver, definitely choose Circle City Driving Academy.
I was a very nervous driver, so nervous that i didn't even get my permit till i was almost seventeen. Circle City really helped me become so much more confident and helped me pass my driver test first try!! Highly recommend for nervous or easily stressed drivers!!!

I came into the school having ZERO experience at all… I have never drove anything bigger than a pickup truck, and have never drove anything manual in my life… From zero experience to a licensed manual class A CDL driver! ... IT CAN BE DONE! (Shoutout to Alex & Rocky) Alex, Rocky, Steve, and Kathy are very knowledgeable and will help you with whatever problems you are having. I would recommend this school to any one wanting to acquire a CDL. I guarantee that anyone that attends 160, and follows the instructions given by the instructors, will become a graduate!!!
Mannn what can I say. 160 I highly recommend. Rocky Rosa was my instructor and he got me through the whole process in one try. That dude is a good man and fair. Even better teacher. They allow you to learn at your own rate but push you to greatness. I have no regrets goin through the Evansville branch and I would do it again if I had to. Appreciate everything they did for me. Can’t express enough the how thankful I am.
The curriculum is sufficient and informative enough that anyone should receive their CDL on their first attempt. My only concern is that they need more trucks so students get more road time and gear shifting experience especially if they have never driven a manual transmission. And each instructor teaches from their own opinions and views so techniques, rules, driving procedures, and information is not consistent from instructor to instructor. If you can effectively sift through the clutter of information and apply it correctly and ask alot of questions you should be fine. It's not a bad program...Just a bit disorganized.
The school is good and have great instructors for different learning types. Dan, Wes, Clyde, Roy, Ricky, and Fred are all great instructors devoted to helping you get a commercial drivers license.

I was recently was just a student, from the first week in the classroom with Dwayne being great. Also the 3 weeks in the yard with Spoon, Mike, Raphl and Pete. All have different training techniques but, all have the same goals getting you to pass on your first schedule state test.

I had a great experience here at c1, they got my cdl very quick and made me understand what I needed to do to become a successful driver. C1 will help you with your air brake test, pre trip, as well as other skills they aren't needed for the state exam but could be actually helpful in the real world
Instructors were phenomenal on teaching and making sure students were able to reach their full potential. Extremely knowledgeable and the entire process was a breeze.

Went there almost 11 years ago. Not complaints. Taught me what I needed to pass the CDL test, then you go with a carrier and learn real world driving! Most of the instructors that were there when I went have left.

The staff in AA Indiana driving are very helpful. They replied to the request and email very quickly. The first and second classes were arranged within 2 weeks once you applied. The whole 6 class arrangements are very effective. The instructors are very good and helpful. We had only limited time to stay in Indiana. They are supper helpful. My son could finish 6 classes and the driving test before I left the country, it seems impossible for me. Thank you so much for their help and flexible arrangement. Appreciated.
AA Indiana Driving School provided an ideal way to learn how to drive. My granddaughter had Jon as her instructor, and he was excellent. I highly recommend 160! I was a GM at restaurants prior. Knew absolutely nothing about trucks. They taught me well. Rob is an incredible teacher, calm and patient. AJ and Pat both do a awesome job explaining things. I did it in the dead of winter so not too many students and we got a lot of drive time. Cristopher in the office helped me get a grant so I didn’t have to pay out of pocket. Over all a amazing experience! Thanks so much guys! I revived my CDL today and became a member of the one and done club!

My daughter attended the class at Safeway Driving School. Betty does such an amazing job with engaging their minds and keeping them interested throughout the entire classroom program. My daughter now has driving lessons scheduled with Pam and she is absolutely AMAZING! My daughter was anxious at first to drive but Pam made sure she was relaxed behind the wheel while making the experience fun and interesting. I know that my child in great hands with Pam as her instructor. Pam has taught my daughter the fundamentals of driving with ease. She definitely feels comfortable and more confident after her first session. Thank you Pam for your professionalism and patience with her. I cannot recommend Pam and Safeway Driving School enough....I guarantee you will not find a better driving school in the area!!

My experience there was a good one! I had absolutely no issues with the staff. I do however feel that they school accepts too many students at a time and in result we don’t get as much repetition as we possibly could but the instructors did make the best of the time. A particular instructor Smitty really stood out to me. His way of teaching is amazing! He’s versatile in his way of being able to reach/explain to every different learning style. You have Instructors and then you have Educators and Smitty defines every aspect of that word. Overall i had a great experience during the time i was in training and I’m thankful for the opportunity!!😀

I had after a month and one bad review managed to get in co tact with someone to schedule and take the lessons I had paid for already. But to the credit of the employees who actually do the driving test is that the quality of the lessons were very good and the teachers were very patient. How ever to undercut the quality of the performance of their employees is the fact that after a change to my work schedule I had attempted to contact them to reschedule the last 2 lessons of the 6 I had paid for (at no small expense) they had redirected me, after cancellation of those lessons, to go to the website to reschedule however there is no such function on the website. You can see upcoming scheduled lessons but not reschedule any. I had emailed twice by this point and called to get in touch with someone but now I have received radio silence from them and will simply assume that they had wasted $200 worth of lessons.
Rachel is an amazing instructor and is very calm and can make you feel confident! She takes any of your concerns or questions and is amazing, I’ve had a very good experience with drive zone!
I've struggled so much with anxiety when I've attempted to drive. I signed up for driver's ed in hopes that I could get rid of the fear and it worked better than I could have hoped. Rachel was so nice and calm the entire time, and a genuine pleasure to be around. I loved working with her!!
This is our 2nd time using Drive Zone. Both of our daughters greatly benefited from the program and enjoyed the instructors. They were very professional and very flexible with the scheduling that we needed to get my daughter through the course before heading back to school. I highly recommend them.

Stop teaching people how to "Not" drive left lane law is a thing in the state of Indiana: Indiana Code Title 9. Motor Vehicles § 9-21-5-9 Sec. 9. (a) A vehicle that travels at a speed less than the established maximum shall travel in the right lanes to provide for better flow of traffic on the interstate highways. (b) This subsection applies to the operation of a vehicle: (1) on a roadway that has two (2) or more lanes of traffic in each direction; and (2) in the left most lane, other than a lane designated for high occupancy vehicles. Except as provided in subsection (c), a person who knows, or should reasonably know, that another vehicle is overtaking from the rear the vehicle that the person is operating may not continue to operate the vehicle in the left most lane. I've seen way to many driving instructors telling the students to maintain the left lane and also drive under the speed limit. this is a violation please update the instructor to the most recent Indiana laws and regulations for roadway motor vehicle use. And avoid teaching students improperly thank you

I can’t recommend Top Choice Driving School enough! As a parent, trusting someone else to teach your child to drive can be nerve-wracking — but from the very beginning, they made me feel completely at ease. Ryan was patient, professional, and genuinely cared about helping my daughter become a confident and safe driver. We will be sending our other children to Top Choice too!

I have called twice to sign my son up for behind the wheel instruction. Left all of my information both times and was told that the instructor would call me and I never heard from anyone after. Moving on to the next drivers ed.
Jenny was very professional and courteous. She made it fun to learn safe driving techniques that has helped him be a safe responsible driver.
Jen is a wonderful instructor! At 27 years old, I was starting to feel like I may never get my Drivers license. Jen worked with me to personalize a plan that worked for me and helped me get over the final hurdle and obtain my license! So grateful for her.

I'm 37 years old! I earned my learner's permit multiple times! Unfortunately after not receiving any help from family or friends I called Dynamic Driver's Ed! What can I say? Dynamic fits the service so well! I gained confidence on the road! My instructor taught me so many rules of the road and wanted me to have my license more than me! I would recommend this program to teens, adults and in between! You WON'T be disappointed! P.S. Did I mention, I got my Driver's License! What are you waiting for? Hurry book your time! Just called to ask about my son attending one of their driving courses and the receptionist was not very polite. Sounded like she had an attitude with me asking questions and kept stating I could find it online on the website. No thanks my son will not be attending there. 😒
Mr. B is very nice. He can seem rude if you haven’t talked to him before, but he’s actually very nice when you get to talk to him and go driving.
My sons class is there. Really nice place. Nice cars to learn in and really safe.

Always very friendly and helpful.
My daughter took her driver's education classroom and driving portion here. All of the staff have been so nice and patient! I like that she has different instructors when driving too since she has learned something different from each one! We will return when our other children are ready for drivers ed!

DO NOT schedule any driving lessons at Pike. The instructor that goes there, Mr. Craig, is absolutely horrendous. He screams the entire time. When asking for clarification, when he was screaming “left hand left hand left hand” while on a straight road, he says “use your head and figure it out”. His job is to TEACH. Not to scream and tell the kids to figure it out. He also goes against what the online education says. They are instructed over and over to put hands at 9 and 3. He said “thats a dumb rule and I am not following it.” How do you have someone that refuses to teach, and goes against YOUR educational videos?!
Don Pope is wonderful! He has ALOT of experience & is very encouraging! Highly recommend!
Mrs Jackson was an amazing drivers instructor. I had a very fun time with her and learned alot and she has made me a much better driver
Gwendolyn Jackson is the BEST!!! She taught my daughter so much and was patient and kind. If you need a great instructor definitely ask for Gwen!!
Last week a student decided to make a left turn at the last minute and jumped into front of me with no turn signal. I had to slam on my breaks. I politely reported the incident via there website so they could just remind the student to look and use their signal and safely make a decision to turn. If I was on my motorcycle I would have wrecked. Instead of responding with a, "we'll remind the student" or something of that nature, they decided to go back and forth with me in an email saying they didn't see the incident on their cameras. Why would I waste my time to even send you the details to make this up. They pretty much refused to offer the suggestions to the student and that's disturbing.

This has been a great driving school for my daughter. The driving instructors are very nice and ensure that she is comfortable and ready to get on the road.
Took less than a minute to get my certificate of driver education enrollment form. In a out great experience.
As previously reviews have said, you cannot schedule drives. My son has been trying to schedule is drives for months. There is no availability no matter how often we have tried. No one is ever at the office and the phones go to voicemail with no return call. Do NOT recommend.

I learned to drive here and have been accident free since I learned to drive 13 years ago. They must've done something right.
I liked Fricks...then after 1 week I couldn't wait til I could get out of there. The receptionist is extremely rude. She failed to give me very important information and when I called back after being chewed out by the teacher for not having the info she preceded to tell me that she gave it to me and it was my fault! The teacher can be generally nice but cranky sometimes. Scheduling driving time over the phone is a nightmare, mainly because you're dealing with a rude receptionist who has you on hold for 10 minutes.
Everyone I spoke to in town recommended Frick's. I'm an "adult learner" coming from a big city where most people don't drive. Frick's explained their courses and I think they'll make sure I can safely pass my driver's test in the spring.

Scheduled a driving test today for my last of kids to use coaches. Boy am I upset! We waited in line to hear one of the instructors fail the kid in front of us and his attitude was beyond awful he was hateful and down right mean. So my daughter had to listen to him bad mouth the other student and then get in the car with him. My husband turned to me and said he is gonna fail her he said he was having a bad day. The receptionist even told him if looks could kill that poor kid would be dead. 15 mins later sure enough they pulled in he got out and said yep she failed.... wish I had never even used coaches. MR. ENDERS was the guy to stay away from.
This old guy would yell at me and say my full name and thinking I was going to hit a mailbox when I was not even close to it. Also made me cry when I got home. I hope this place gets shut down and don’t waste your money here. THEY WILL NOT TEACH YOU ANYTHING!
Both instructors I had were so funny and very friendly! I learned everything I need to know for the driving test and overall driving from them.
Customer service is awful!!!! The front office lady is rude. My kid missed a class, so I tried to reschedule it. I had to pay for her to open the calendar back up, so i could reschedule. The whole calendar was full and she knew that!! So when I asked why June was not open for me to schedule a lesson, I was told that they were not opening June for me because it was for kids that were taking drivers ed in the summer. So of course I was upset, I paid $365 to be told that my kid would be put on a waiting list. After that, the owner sent me an email and says we are not welcomed back. So now my child needs 2 driving hours and coachs will not let her finish. No driving company will just do the 2 hours, so I will be paying for 6 hours again. Mark thinks that giving me a $90 refund is enough. This place is running a scam!!! He honestly needs to make it right!!! I highly recommend you find somewhere else to do drivers education!!!
The coaches are alright, still have a lot to learn .

It was really easy! The lady there was nice and I was really nervous cause the reviews weren’t very good. It was easy and I learned a lot! Driver instructor was kinda sassy to me 😭 but he wasn’t mean. Besides that I enjoyed it take ur kids here !!
Drive Rite is such a great fit for our family...fair pricing, online courses and they'll pick you up....best of all they have excellent customer service....no wonder they're number one for 40 years!
I would not recommend Drive rite to anyone. The service was just awful, and scummy too. I paid for 4 hours of “driving” yet we didn’t even drive. The safety instruction videos were all out dated and lacked any clarity. (I learned more through my parents than this place) Instructor was also extremely rude and aggressive towards me. Absolutely terrible service.
Instructer urnie is very rude to me he is so unprofessional I do not recommend them I am going through somebody else starting next week worst experience ever
