Thanh Pham is the absolute BEST driving Instructor. If there were 10 stars to give, I would ! I wouldn’t recommend going anywhere else. If you need a driver road test or any other services, this is the driving school to use. She was kind, caring and very patient with my daughter for her road test. Very clean and welcoming office as well. Her husband is also wonderful and very kind. We used the Driver License Division and it was an absolute DISASTER ! Recently we had tried to do the road test at the DMV and was forced to look into months ahead for appointments due to no availability within any nearby timeframe. We found Eco Driving from the suggested third party testing locations and decided to schedule with them since they could take us the next day instead. Went to the appointment and the tester was super kind and patient with my foreign wife who is still learning English. Allowed us to use our car as well instead of the test car for ease of use. The tester's family was also kind enough to provide a chair for me with my baby while waiting for my wife to complete the test. Very smooth and kind people! Would recommend for anyone struggling with the DMV and wants a way better and simpler way to complete the driving skills test. Thank you again Eco Driving Utah!

OWN PACE • AMAZING INSTRUCTORS What great people! "Move at your own pace" is a real thing. I appreciate how they let me schedule class around my full-time job! They are real people. They teach, then test your knowlegde and skills on exact information needed to pass both the written and driving skills exams. They have a great driving course which resembles the exact course for the state and other testing locations. Including a private classroom.
I have just completed my truck driving program with Mountain West CDL Driving School and have to say they are top-notch. Many other students mentioned that they transferred from other schools to train here, and I can see why. The instructors, like Alex and Bryan, were knowledgeable and patient, making sure I mastered everything from pre-trip inspections to advanced maneuvers. The staff treated me like family and were always available to help. They have reliable and clean trucks, which are perfectly set up for training—whether you want to learn on a manual or automatic transmission. I cannot say enough good things about this family-owned and operated company. I would give them 10 stars if I could.
Thanks to Zainah, I was able to memorize my entire pre trip. Alex and Gerald got my shifting and driving to a perfect level so I can be ready for the road and any obstacle I may face. My son did his online schooling and behind the wheel instruction with Daniel at National Driving School. My son said Daniel was funny, a very good teacher, and very matter-of-fact in his instruction. He passed his test with flying colors. In my opinion it was worth the cost. Daniel's rates are just as reasonable as anybody else's that I called. Plus, he was very easy to work with. I highly recommend National Driving School.
If you're an anxious driver who really wants to get their license, I would recommend this school for you!! I was an extremely anxious driver before coming here. But after meeting other drivers who were also anxious, and working with the instructor, I gained a lot of confidence in my driving skills and passed the test!!! The instructor is SUPER nice and understanding. He was really calm and supportive the whole time and did his absolute best to help relieve the anxiety I was feeling about driving. I'm kinda sad my time here is over but super happy with the skills and confidence I'm leaving with.
Well I just finished today Thursday, June 22nd, 2017 and I will recommend this school to everyone. Daniel is the best instructor I've ever had. Great man and he has a good sense of humor and he does his job very well. This is the best place to get it done if you need your license. It's worth your time going here.
I just passed my driving test today! 🎉 Daniel was amazing—so professional, friendly, and encouraging. He had just finished another road test, saw me waiting outside, and kindly asked what time my schedule was. Then, he handed me the keys and we got started right away. It was my first time driving a big car, and I was nervous, but Daniel made the whole experience smooth and comfortable. He guided me through everything while I was driving, kept smiling the entire time, and really helped me feel confident. I highly recommend Daniel to anyone taking their driving or road test—he’s the best!
I decided I wanted to look more into this place. I've seen good reviews and it made me feel comfortable to try. On the website it mentions "no additional cost" for inexperience driving. So I decided to message the number to ask "since i am inexperience and the website also says no additional cost for inexperience driver that means I don't have to pay right?" then they message back and just said I should go to another place and for me to have a good day. I don't understand I was just only asking a question?!

I passed my road test thanks to Kevin's AMAZING work! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a great instructor and a great tester some one that corrects you when needed and calm you when doing the test I was very nervous but I felt more comfortable with him than even my mom when driving I was very lucky to find him I am so happy that I get my license all thanks to Kevin.

I would give a 0 if I could. Was not clear about what he offers then wanted me to pay an extra 75 dollars to do my driving lessons when he said it was all included in the payment. He did not teach me driving he just kept my money. He seems nice but he's a thief. I would not recommend.

I deeply appreciated Mr. Eftin's patience and expert guidance, as this not only allowed me to settle my nerves but adequately manage my expectations during the State Road Test. Absolutely fantastic instructor. Both of my kids went through for their driving tests and the time and detail spent were appreciated. My anxious child didn’t pass the first time and they were encouraging and coached through the miss. They were excited to try again with the same instructor after the grace period and passed. It showed that they were a true teacher for them to be willing to try again with the same instructor. We look forward to recommending this company.
Visited SLIDS for my road test. My invigilator was kind and firm. All steps were clearly explained, and helpful tips were given. After the test, I received a full breakdown of all the things I did well, and also the errors I made. I feel much more confident driving safely and comfortably thanks to this experience. Today I had a few questions regarding scheduling my son’s drives as well as information about a test. Kylie was promptly responsive, proactive, knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. This is our second experience with Wright Driving School and we love the company and the program!
Marnie Shook was the best all her instructions very clear and she taught me everything absolutely the best.

I had the absolute best experience with wright driving. Marnie was my instructor and she is absolutely amazing. I was so nervous to do my drives and she walked me through and made sure I was calm. She is the best! I love her! All my drives were great! I loved my experience with wright driving and would totally recommend to anyone looking for a driving school.
I would find a different driving school. Their pricing is comparable to other driving schools, except it is IMPOSSIBLE to speak with an actual human. They have intentionally made everything via text and email only. They cancelled my sons 3rd and final driving session just a few days before and it had been scheduled and planned 6 weeks earlier. No apologies, no call ahead, just an automated email. When I contacted them (via stupid chat) to figure out why, no explanation given, and sorry no appointments for 6 weeks. They’ll take your $, but they don’t have enough instructors to accommodate.

I read the reviews and decided to go with them. Glad I did and now I'm writing my own 5 star review. The communication was excellent and Wes was awesome. Anyone that needs to take their final test or just the instruction portion, I highly recommend this company.
I typically don’t leave reviews, but my experience with Utah Elite Driving School merits a review. These folks went above and beyond the call of duty to help me get my son ready for the road. The high schools were booked out for getting my sons drive times in. Jake and Wes were super flexible and workable in getting driving times coordinated. Would definitely recommend them to anyone!

I already felt comfortable with driving due to driving a box truck for years, but needed to study my pre-trip and Air Brakes. Did most my studying online and on YouTube. I used Apex for the testing plus I took their recommendation of purchasing one hour of training. Very glad I added the one hour (two would have been better) of training. Was able to pass on my first test. People were very friendly and professional. I would recommend.
I came to Apex for my 3rd party testing. Alex was amazing, helped me perfect the one backing maneuver I was struggling with. I passed my testing and was able to get my Class A combination CDL license the same day I passed. The teaching from Alex was impressive and thorough. I would have had multiple retests without his help to get me ready for my backing maneuvers. Parallel parking to be specific. Big should out to him and his team. I was pleased to hear how Alex and his staff are all from the industry, not just some pencil pushers like other schools and testing facilities. Knowing the people training you and testing you have real world experience in the field makes every bit of difference.
Become a good trucker even thanks to Apex, after the school I started to drive immediately as a company driver. Was their care and tips I never had an issue. I highly recommend Apex for the quality, the integrity and honesty of the entire group. Try hey teach you only how to drive, the regulations and the practice of how to this and that The real challenge is to deal with companies that want to hire you. Pretty dishonest and bully. Remember always what your instructor said when you have an issue, the truck is supposed to not leak exhaust in the cabin, so buy a carbon monoxide sensor and if it alarms during the job ir the idling, don’t think too much, put the truck out of order, call the company and if they starts to makes stories drive til the next shop, say NO. Call the DOT and let them know that the company pretend you drive in violation. If you don’t do this, the company will retaliate and put in the black spots. Companies are not families, are commercial entities that don’t care about you driver. Don’t be fooled by great words. Money is money , words are words. Protect yourself, you are alone while driving, only you are the one who cares of you.
This school was the craziest yet best driving school I've been to. Learning from all the different instructors was a great experience. Wyatt was calm and patient with me and let me drive. He taught me so many tricks that helped pass my test with flying colors! He gave the testing experience so i knew how to stay calm. Brian wants you to pass it the first time with great instructions. He’s very thorough. Matt helped me come up with words to remember the pre trip with all the parts I had a hard time remembering. Britney helped teach me to speed up with the pre trip after i had all the terminology. Richard was great at helping get me on the schedule and boosting my confidence. This is an outstanding’ school. The staff here are quality people with the know how to work with all kinds of individuals. In my case, I came into this school with what could only be described as a mild case of “big truck – PTSD”. The professionals here at Apex helped me to resolve this early on, and guided me through the program all the rest of the way. The problem I was having was not that I couldn’t drive, the fact is, that I already drive my own car for service platforms such as Uber and Ruck and have a clean driving record. The difficulty I was having with the big trucks, however, was that previously I had attended another CDL trucking school, which I will not name, and at that school the program was confined within a rigid timeframe that did not allow recovery time for things like; illness, or for personal priorities, or study fatigue, or things like that. The class schedule at that place consisted of just a few weeks of long 8hr days of class time, accompanied by a large volume of online homework that had to be completed by certain dates. As a result, by the time we were behind the wheel for our drive training I was so wiped out from study fatigue and lack of sleep that I felt like I was on the verge of committing some, for sure, mental misstep and getting us into a traffic accident. At that point, I told the instructor there that I was pulling myself from behind the wheel. Let me emphasize, “that” was at “that” school!!! Now, fast forward to the day when I walked through the door at Apex Trucking School. One of the first things I learned was that they don’t run their school like that place I had just come from. They want you to take sick days off; they want you to take care of personal priorities; they want you to recover from study fatigue and anything else that would not be conducive to a good learning environment. To get to the point here, when they first started putting me behind the wheel of their trucks, one of the first things they did was help me get over my fear. It was the fear I had had of being in such a large vehicle and being responsible for the safety of other drivers around me. Even though I was no longer fatigued and traumatized like were the conditions at that other school, I still had some of those same anxieties that had to be worked out. Bryan and Hayden were instrumental in helping me achieve that. On the other side, Dallin also helped me immensely by keeping me on my toes when necessary, and not letting me slip into complacency, which in my opinion, could be hazardous or problematic if the truck were not being driven correctly. To make a long story short, these guys really know their business. By the time I was on my last few training drives through the city, Haden said I was handling the truck like a pro. Now I have a CDL and I have these guys and everyone else at Apex to thank for it. Special thanks also to: Arilyn, Makenzie, Shea, and Junji, Who’s roles also played an important part in my success there at Apex.

My driving instructor Jackie is a great instructor! He is very friendly and very patient helping me out with all the things I need to become a better driver. As we were driving I quickly became less nervous because of his attitude.

A-1 is an amazing driving school that I would highly recommend. My instructor, Jackie, is stern but calm. He keeps you calm in stressful situations and offers clear instructions. Also he lets you make mistakes and then teaches you from every situation.

THIS INFO FOR THE ROAD TEST. I made a appointment to get my road test done at the Provo location. I was never explicitly told that I need my permit, though it's just common sense to bring it. Because I did forget it I showed up and was told to schedule to a later date. Which I thought was fine, of course forgetting my permit was my fault. However once I called to reschedule I was told that by forgetting my permit my 50 dollar fee needed to be repaid. Which it says nowhere in the road test portion of their website and the representative who scheduled me in the first place never told me. And then that I couldn't test there because there were no more slots open for me to schedule into. So they just took 50$, then told me I'd have to repay that, then couldn't reschedule me for another time if I were to pay the another 50. Though I will give the person on the phone credit for giving me other places I could test at, thank you for that. Coming back to this a second later, they asked me for my phone number, but never a email and I was never sent anything to confirm my purchase or any sort of confirmation email/text. So there's no sort of formal documentation. Edit: This is why i'm complaining, I know I needed to bring my permit. Like I said that's my fault. Though no one told me I needed to bring it from your end and never in anyway was i told, by person or website, that I would my slot would be for forfitted and my money taken if I failed to bring it. That was until after I called again to schedule and my money was already taken. Which is borderline against UCSPA.

Great school, The instructors give you all the tools and knowledge to learn quickly , while giving you the space to make mistakes, its a non judgmental environment . I have attended different schools which lacked in different areas and premier is a well rounded school that i recommend to anyone who is thinking about joining the industry but is nervous , they will not fail you .
This school has to be the best program in the country! Not only do the instructors have a great deal of experience but they truly care about each student as an individual. This was a career change for me so I knew nothing about trucks - not a problem. The staff simply broke things down, explained things, brought me along in my training…and I got my CDL! The school admin (including security officers) and the instructors do everything they can to move a student forward to ensure their success. The physical facility amazing! The student dorms are staffed with caring people, who help the students in any way they can, and the environment is clean, accommodating, organized, and safe. I could not have found a better school to do my driver training. 👍👍

Highly recommend against going here!! The guy just rushes you through the whole process (with a heavy accent so you can’t understand him) and makes you go 25mph in a neighborhood with kids playing!!! I genuinely feel like he just rushed and failed me to get more money.. Definitely will never go back or recommend to anyone🙌

Ecxelente atención. Agarras una cita, te dan unos vídeos para que practiques y llegues preparad@ y el día de la cita te dan una charla respecto al examen de manejo y si tienes preguntas te las aclaran antes de salir a conducir. En mi caso la realicé con el señor Victor persona muy servicial. Cuando requiera otra vez de sus servicios iría sin pensarlo nuevamente. Los recomiendo.
My daughter took her driving test here! The staff went above and beyond sending her driving videos and clear instructions to help her prepare for her test. When we arrived the instructor went over what she would be tested on, showed her videos that demonstrated what was expected for each maneuver. He was very kind to my daughter and asked if she had any questions. I recommend Alta to anyone in need of driving instruction or a road test!

The course work is easy, and understandable. Everyone complaining either sucks at driver or had no experience at all before driving with an instructor, instructor is very understanding and patient, but yes they do take the wheel when it is necessary. (Edit: got my license first try on the state road test)
Both of my boys have completed drivers education through A-1, both have enjoyed their experiences. Zeb was absolutely amazing, my son thoroughly enjoyed his drives, he made this experience fun!!
If I could give this place 0 I would. We have been trying to get my son his license for months. He cant even get in to schedule driving. They keep taking peoples money and making the waiting list larger and larger. We still have not been able to get any driving time scheduled. DO NOT GO TO THIS COMPANY. They are just essentially stealing your money.

Was nervous reading some of the reviews but astonished at how well Vince instructs and holds himself. He’s a brilliant young man and should be proud of himself. Booked last minute and he took care of everything. Don’t listen to the one stars - people clearly didn’t pass their tests and weren’t too happy.
Was given this place to do my driving test at after completing course with A+ driving school . Just did my road test today with Vincent or Vinson (correct me if I’m wrong about his name) . Awesome instructor ! I’d definitely give the guy a 10/10 ! He was very clear about what he was grading me on for my road test & even answered some questions that I was not sure about ! Jackie was great with me. He’s direct and blunt, but also very kind and respectful, which is exactly what every kind of driving student needs. Even after taking my lessons in April, the core principles he taught me were still apparent during my test. I would definitely recommend this driving school, more specifically him. Even the driving school i took my driving test with said he was great. Awesome dude.

Working with Independent Driving School was great! They responded to texts in a timely manner and were able to get our rode test done quickly. They informed us that if we had chosen them for our school experience and drive time, that they pick up and drop off!! Wow what a service! That would have been amazing! Save yourself some time and gas and use Independent Driving School for yourself or your teenager!
Our experience for the drive tester was that she was worse than just going to the DMV for free. Don’t waste your money here.

Definitivamente es aquí donde uno debe dar su examen de manejo. Son pacientes amables e imparciales. Son justos con la calificación y a la vez honestos. Prestan atención a cada movimiento que uno da pero te brindan mucha confianza y seguridad. 100% recomendado. Ben al final me indicó los errores que cometí y fue transparente con la puntuación.
Horrible instructor had to wait almost 30 minutes for her to show up and when she did she had a very rushed feel to it. Very dishonest as well I know my road test wasn’t perfect but i know what she marked me down for wasnt valid at all and didnt even make sense. Took my 60 dollars and ran with it. Waste of time money and experience. I suspect all good reviews on this place are family and or friends trying to make it seem legit.

A-1 Driving School is a train wreck. If you love reloading a website for 10 minutes hoping to get a drive time that won't work with your schedule but grabbing it anyway because their system for teaching people to drive is to not have enough driving teachers and literally zero open drive instruction spots for when kids are out of school, then this is the place for you. Otherwise, find somewhere that has a more sensible way of scheduling teaching. If they don't have enough teachers, they should either take fewer students or close their school. Given what I've seen to date. . . maybe the latter makes the most sense. Seriously, save yourself the aggravation and go elsewhere.
The instructors are great and all 3 of my kids have taken from A-1. We recommend them all the time.
So Two weeks in advance I schedule and pay in full for my driving lesson. I show up for my scheduled time they told me over the phone. I was told to have a seat and they someone will come get me. After 30 minutes of waiting I ask how much longer only to find out the instructor has left for the day. I was charged 200$ for them to forget to schedule me amd then I am told I have to wait another two to three weeks when they have another opening. No thanks I will be asking for a refund and find a company who can handle penciling me in without forget to do the simple task.
Extremely difficult to schedule driving times, especially for a high school student who is in school when the drive times go online. Wasn't able to complete all the drives in the necessary timeframe
The teachers are hit or miss. There are some good ones. The schedule do fill up quickly so it is not easy to find instructors. The worse thing is their online course work. The lessons are broken down into too many small segments so it takes unnecessary long to go through them and too many clicks by hand. The lessons keep repeating the same content. I’d rather see shorter content and replay the same lesson than meandering through endless number of lessons, some useful and some are not. Some are literally two sentences. Worse, between segments, an obnoxious tone is played repeatedly. It is constantly ringing in my head. It is terrible. I try to give positive vibe I review but this tune that is played repeatedly is really too much. It is not professional and the lesson needs to be edited down to reduce duplication and blank air times with no content, and to reduce the need for me to click on my computer

Seeing a lot of bad reviews from people who clearly haven't taken lessons from Utah a state-certified instructor recently. Kim was awesome! She was very polite and courteous throughout my test, and we got along super well. I was referred here by Kevin from Allied Driving School for my road test, and I couldn't be happier that I didn't go through another school. I had a great time all-around, and I passed on my first try. Kim grades on everything I was taught recently by another well-known / well-respected instructor, and she even gave me a heads up of what I would be tested on. 5 stars from me.
Same story as everyone else. My son read the reviews and made sure to do head checks every time. Trust the reviews. Don't use this place. Waste of time and money. Pretty sure they do it to make you come back and pay another $60. We will go elsewhere. It's shameful to fail someone for something they did correctly. She only takes cash too. I wonder why???
I am confused by the reviews because I passed on my first try. The lady to test me was calm and nice, gave me directions and I could understand her fine.
Before my test started Loan gave me all the instructions I need in order to pass my test and answered nicely all the questions that I have also after I finished it and passed it the test, she gave me good and useful advice about my driving. She’s really nice and even that we had a silly misunderstanding about the appointment she could fit me in later in the same day ! I really appreciate that and all her help !
