After retiring, I chose 160 Driving Academy (Peoria) to get my CDL. If I were just rating the staff, I would give 5/5. Tiffany, the mgr., Randy and Mike, the driving instructors were all fantastic. They are all knowledgeable, very helpful and genuinely care about your success in the program. The 4/5 is for the yard facility. You are primarily outside when you're not driving. The staff is what makes this program great and I would recommend 160 to anyone looking to get their CDL. Within 2 hrs of getting my license, I was contacted by a recruiter who had 4 companies who would have hired me that week.
160 is the best trucking school in the nation! I had a great experience all the trainers are great at what they do. I recommend anyone who wants to get their CDL license to go to 160 Driving Academy! Be on time, pay attention, and they will help you succeed and open the door to great opportunities. Thank you Tiffany, Jeff, Doug, Latoya, and Randy.
Since I passed the first time will give 5 stars.
Instructors did a good job teaching and they have good patience for new people coming in to learn. I would highly recommend this driving academy to anyone who wants to get their cdl. Thank you and good job Jay, Doug, Andy.

My Son just finished he class tonight at Balda Driving School and he love it! He told me the teacher was a lot of fun and made the class really interesting. He learned a lot from the class and is now prepared to take the road. Thank you for making this experience a great one for my son.
Staff is rude and condescending. Refuses to communicate with Secretary of State making it nearly impossible to get a license. Acted like I was an inconvenience because my autistic son needed extra time before he could obtain a license. Would recommend ANY other school.
Went in for remedial driving class. Very nice people, good class and a great price. I'll go back if I need behind the wheel lessons.
The OWNER is extremely rude! During the class she talks in circles to the point of absolute boredom. Very difficult to work with. Does not communicate well. And treats costumers very poorly in from of other staff members. While the owner was chewing me out I witnessed another staff member upset to the point of crying because of embarrassment. If I could I rate a 0 stars out of 5. Do not come here!!!
I enjoyed this class Mrs.Kristina made it easy to understand everything. On top of a great class atmosphere (even during covid) she also told us all sorts of entertaining stories, and drew us some very interesting and detailed drawings. Over all my time at Balda was great and very informative. I recommend to anyone getting ready to take dr.ed
