I love my driving instructor Sandra. She's very professional, cordially knowledgeable and stern but very kind and patience with me, someone who had never had a DL or driven a car before and have an extreme anxiety about driving. She's so detail oriented but still took her time to explain every little thing to you about your concerns or questions you had. I'm a 100% more confidence behind the wheel now with the helps and guidance from Sandra. So, I am more than happy, and I highly recommend Excel Driving School to anyone.
Sandra was a great instructor to our teenage son , we could not have chosen a better instructor . He had his first lesson at 15 and a half , and last lesson at 16 .She was very kind and patient , and really instilled confidence in our son as a driver . He took his behind the wheel test and passed on his first time, only after 3 lessons over 6months time. He wasn’t nervous or worried about failing , because of how he was taught . She really takes the time to explain everything to her students and makes them feel comfortable and safe in asking her any questions ,she would write down notes for him during lessons, and go over any questions at the end . I can truly say I would send or refer anyone looking for a driving instructor , her way. Thank you Sandra for all your help in preparing our son . Who is now a happy licensed 16 year old .
Sandra is very patient to her students through all lessons! I appreciate how she takes the time to ask us if we have any questions about anything that was talked about. She also was very patient teaching me about parking, driving in residential areas, and on busy streets.
Our daughter had an amazing experience with Excel Driving. She was fully prepared and always felt comfortable and safe during her lessons. She felt fully prepared for her test because of all the information Sandra provided. We drove about an hour to meet Sandra and it was completely worth it.
Danny is the best instructor! I felt incredibly confident for my test, and am now a licensed driver. Listen to Danny’s instruction and you’ll do great. Remember to practice.

My son passed driving test with first try. The technique must be good. The only thing I don't like was for the second or third session, the instructor arrived half hour earlier than the appointment time. He said no hurry. But he came back 20 minutes earlier. It means only 1hour and 40 minutes session.

I’ve had Paul Ma as my driving instructor all 3 lessons, he’s a very patient & nice instructor. Gives very good tips on how to be a good and safe driver.
I would definitely recommend I drive school, I took their 6 hour driving lessons with Julio, if you are looking for an instructor to really help and answer your questions I would definitely recommend Julio. He is a great instructor!

just got my cdl licens, probably one of the best schools out there, the instructors know what they are doing they don’t play around, shout out carlos and fransisco
I would 💯% recommend this school to anyone trying to get there CDL. The instructor Carlos is the best teacher his way of teaching and being patient with the students. Everything you’re being taught at the yard is all the same as when you go to the dmv. Big Thank You to 160DrivingAcademy for helping me get my CLASS A 🥳!!!
Hello, I'm Majed. I passed my Class A commercial driving license test 10 days ago and am waiting to receive it in the mail from the DMV. I also trained at the 160 Driving Academy, and I would like to tell you about my experience at this academy: My success in passing the tests the first time was thanks to the efforts of three very special people: Mr. Fred, Mr. Carlos, and Mr. Francisco. I apologize for saying this, but the 160 Driving Academy had no role in this, and I'll tell you why: Mr. Farid welcomed me very well and provided me with all the necessary information to prepare the required documents and tests. He was always ready to answer any questions I had, even on weekends. Furthermore, everything I covered in the tests was taught to me by Mr. Carlos and Mr. Francisco, and was fully covered through their personal efforts and extensive experience driving trucks on the road. This gave me confidence as I took the tests, and I could clearly feel this on the face of the DMV examiner. Frankly, Mr. Carlos is well-known within the DMV as a good trainer, and any student coming from the 160 Driving Academy the DMV Examiners is eager to test him because of their confidence in the quality of the training. However, on the other hand, and I hope I'm not being rude because of my frankness, the 160 Driving Academy, Ventura branch, wasn't even up to the minimum standard expected. Before I decided to train there, I searched YouTube and search engines, and the academy's ratings were excellent. This encouraged me to choose them over other driving schools in the same location, even though their training fees were almost double those of other schools. The other schools I visited had fully paved training yards and at least three trucks, and the required mechanical parts to practes on were also available in the classroom. When I started training at the Academy's Yard , the training yard was potholed and dusty, and the training lanes could not be seen due to the dust rising from the Truck fan during maneuvering. They also only had one manual transmission truck, and there were always at least seven to ten students present for training on this truck and all need train on manual transmission. This meant you would have to wait a long time for your turn to learn the skills, as was the case with the on-road driving experience. Mr. Carlos often adjusted the training dates to please everyone. And Whenever there was a driving test on this vehicle at the DMV, the rest of the students would have to wait at the school without training, or they would have to train on the automatic transmission, which created confusion for them due to the discrepancy and the lack of sufficient training on the dual-clutch. Furthermore, the vehicle at the Academy's Venturi branch was not in good condition, especially since the driving seat was not properly secured, and there was no handle to adjust it to fit the person driving the vehicle. Instead, we had to raise the seat cushion and move it manually, being careful not to hurt our fingers on the seat rail. I wish that The Academy's management extends full support to the wonderful training team at the Venturi branch, including the complete restoration and asphalting of the training yaqrd and the creation of an exact replica of the DMV field at Venturi. At the very least, provide them with atleast three manual transmission trucks, as this will undoubtedly increase the number of students at this vital location. Finally, thanks to the 160 Driving Academy, as it is certainly yours for appointing competent individuals like the Venturi team to train students with the required skills and knowledge.
Got my CDL through 160 Driving Academy in Oxnard CA. I highly recommend the school of you're looking into getting your CDL. The instructors Carlos and Francisco were very knowledgeable and helpful in helping me graduate. I appreciate how they made it a fun experience and helped explain anything/everything I needed to know. They take time to explain any questions so you completely understand what you're asking about.
Want to give thanx to Fred for helping me out with the classes and still checking up on me to see how things are going. I also want to give thanx to Carlos for being there helping me out with driving even when I panicked. I recommend going to 160 driving academy and having them as your instructor. They work good together.
