Hands down the BEST CDL school in the treasury valley, don’t even waste your time and money with SAGE or These other schools. Idaho cdl training will take good care of you no matter what course you get these guys are amazing Ned, Kelly and jason and of course the examiner marvin are good instructors and very knowledgeable I learned a lot from them in such a short period of time! I enjoyed my time in the yard and if i had to do it all over again I would!
I do not recommend if you plan on being an OTR driver or are not being sent there directly from an employer who has already hired you. No company will hire you unless you have 160 hrs of training!!! If I was writing this review directly after graduating I would have given this school five stars. I have a feeling all the five star reviews are written directly after graduating as they really highlight that they would love for you to do that right away! The trainers were awesome! I had one on one training by skilled professional who treated me with respect and compassion and were focused solely on teaching me the skills I needed to start a new career in the trucking industry. That being said… They knew my goal was to start a new career as an OTR Truck driver and said nothing about the fact that no one would hire me without having completed 160 hrs of training. I am a 44 year old mother of 3 with my youngest attending college at the College of Idaho. After going through a divorce from a marriage of 24 years I decided to start a fresh career for myself as an OTR Truck driver. A local in the Caldwell area hands down suggested Idaho CDL Training School and mentioned that they accept the Idaho Launch Grant through the Idaho Works Program that I had just applied for. I went directly to the main office and talked to them and attended an open house at their training yard. I was approved for the grant the following Monday and accepted into the training school. The grant would cover 3500$ of tuition which left me to pay 950$ for the 5 day 30 hour manual transmission course, plus the 250$ 9 hr ELDT online training course and my Permit fee and test fees at the DMV plus 105$ for my DOT Physical. My DOT drug test was included in the already paid tuition. So at this point I am Invested about 1400$ out of pocket with a stipulation from the Grant that I work for an Idaho based company for 1 year or repay the grant. I started classes and as I said before the training was great. I was behind the wheel getting hands on one on one training the entire time I was there. On the day of my final skills and road test a officer from the department of transportation showed up to do a random audit of my school instructor and was present through my entire pre trip, air brake checks, yard skills and followed behind me for my public road skills test. I graduated feeling very confident in starting a new career….until literally no one will hire me because this school is not on anyones approved schools to hire from as they all require 160 hrs of school. When I called my school, they were clearly aware of this Huge problem as they already had a letter typed out to give to their students that were not getting hired stating how employers should consider us despite not having 160 hrs because our training is all one on one BTW training. They knew I would have no chance being hired as and said nothing about companies requiring 160 hrs of training and still convinced me this was the best school. I had to borrow 1500$ from my family and work very hard for a huge huge let down. I have applied to 26 Trucking companies and Local county jobs and also signed up through placement companies and no one will hire me. I am beyond disappointed. Amber
All of the instructors (Ned, Kelly, Richard and Jason) were very professional and knowledgeable. The amount that they all care and want you to succeed is very motivating! 10/10 would recommend!
Idaho CDL Training is the best CDL training in Idaho, don't waste your time with the others. The ono-on-one training and abundance of seat time and instruction that Idaho CDL Training provides far out weighs standing inline and sharing a truck with an entire group. The ladies in the office, Danielle and Sharise, do a great job of explaining the process, getting you scheduled, and give clear written instructions for required document submittals, training dates and times, and testing appointments. The instructors, Jason, Barny, Ned, Kelly, and Richard, all have unique prospectives and are very knowable and patient while instructing with a cohesive and uniform system. Marvin performed my final skills test was good to talk to in between sessions. Lot's of good people from Idaho CDL Training and great interaction with the other students that have a variety of backgrounds and future ambitions. Seriously, don't waste your time or money with the other places. The horror stories are true...
Took a two day refresher course and instructors were great to work with and very encouraging and helpful. Kelly was extremely supportive and a very good instructor

My son just finished his drivers training this morning. He is autistic, and we weren’t really sure how things would go for him. I let Rob know the situation beforehand and he was an amazing instructor for him! Definitely went the extra mile to make sure he was ready to go—even had me go on his last drive so I could see what he needed to work on. I 100% recommend Idaho Driving School. This is my second child going through this program and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Thanks Rob!
The kids love it! Fun yellow cars and engaging instructors. The kids seem to be more interested and better prepared for the road than some programs. They let guardians know if their kids may need additional help with some potential trouble-spots based on the in-car experience. Good bunch of people! Highly recommended.
Your child will thank you! Mostly videos and lectures, and easy 10-question quizzes. All material is learned in a fun and effective manner, though fast-paced. The class head, Rob, also has a very good sense of humor. Helpful instructors that are not too insistent but still firm and safe. Driving schedules are tailored to every student and changes are VERY flexible. An after-school drive in the yellow Camero is the way to get picked up in style. This driving class is the kind of class where students have a fun time while learning to drive. You get to look back on the fun and friendships made in Idaho Driving School, and the last class is held at Fast-Lane where the students get to race go-karts, are given driver's permits, and pose for a class picture to remember. Just don't get the driving instructor Steve. (He seems quite an a******)
I needed a flexible program for my son to learn drivers ed due to sports and other school activities. My son did the online version that is offered. It took him about 5 weeks to finish the online part and then he started driving. My son always had good things to say about the instructors and loved the cars he got to drive in. Two weeks later, he passed his final drive and is now driving us parents around. We had nothing but good experiences with Rob and his staff.
Rip to Scott he was the best (he’s not dead but he was a really fun instructor) Rob is fun. They have a no fail policy!

My instructor was the absolute best! I have been working so hard on overcoming my fear and anxiety behind the wheel and I was finally able to do it with my instructors help. She was very patient and was great at calming my nerves. She pushed me just enough outside my comfort zone. She also gave me great everyday tips about driving that helped me feel more confident and in control of the car. And when I did make a mistake that left me in a panic, she was able to calm my nerves and helped me to keep driving. When the time came to take the skills test, I passed first try. I feel so much better about driving now.
The instructors are incredibly patient and make new drivers feel comfortable and confident behind the wheel. My son always enjoyed his lessons. As a parent, scheduling lessons is quick and hassle-free!
What else is there to say that everyone else hasn't already mentioned? This school and these instructors are an absolute joy to work with. I am involved with newly-arrived Americans who often have limited English and no experience with a car at all and Shelly works with them with such grace, patience, and compassion that I am beyond inspired. I love seeing the faces of the folks who have just had a lesson with Shelly because they are always beaming with happiness and they exude a newfound confidence that extends into all areas of their lives. This school offers much more than driving lessons for the folks I work with, they offer a new freedom and a new confidence that stays with them for the rest of their lives. I cannot recommend this place enough.
The other driving ed I asked doesn’t accept adult lessons. Grateful I found All About safe Driving. This driving class does a one on one lesson unlike other driving ed. Getting your sessions get scheduled were so easy and very considerate if you want to reschedule it. Shelly was so kind and I just want to say thank you so much! With your guidance and patience you taught me the skills to become a safe driver. Thank you for giving me the confidence to drive and for helping me to overcome my nervousness. Yesterday I just passed my driving test on my 1st try. Definitely recommend All About Safe Driving.
All about safe driving has not been only a great learning and safe experience, but very fun as well. Everyone who taught me during class or on a drive made me laugh and have a great time giving me confidence and a peaceful environment that I felt comfortable in. They are a very amazing group of people to be around and I'm sure that anyone else who joins this program would think the same.

I went to this drivers ed place a few years ago and had a horrible experience with the instructor Rohan. I remember he yelled at me very aggressively, pointed his finger in my face and made me cry. We were in horseshoe bend, so I drove back that windy road as a new driver, feeling shocked. Next, we were practicing parking and he wanted me to look on out my drivers side window so I kid you not instead of telling me, he pushed my shoulder hard to look at it. It was a terrible experience. It was an unkind experience. Do not enroll your kids here. This was not a safe environment to learn.
Rohan is one of the nicest guys ive ever met and a great teacher i was able to pass my test and now learn alot in only 2 weeks definitely reccomend this school its awesome really deserves my 5 stars i had a blast learning from Rohan and hearing all his awesome stories while in his class.
Rohan is an excellent teacher and an amazing person. Not only did he make my class enjoyable by cracking jokes from time to time, but he also taught me everything I need to know in a fast and simple way. I learned a lot from Rohan, all the rules of driving and also life lessons. I wouldn't chose anyone else to teach me how to drive. I 100% recommend Elite Driving School to anyone and everyone who's thinking about learning to drive. But if you struggle taking fast notes, be prepared because this class goes FAST. 5 stars
Rohan is a tough instructor, a rule stickler, and has a high expectation for his students. This is a great thing because young drivers need tough instruction. He instilled solid lessons for my daughter which I know will help her become a strong driver. During the lessons they traveled far with a variety of obstacles and challenges. Well worth it.
Rohan was a great driving instructor for me! He was very helpful and nice while I was driving. I was very nervous to drive, but made it a lot more comfortable for me. He made it clear about what the most important things were, and told me everything I needed to know to pass my test. Elite Driving School is recommended!

We had a really wonderful experience with Hawkins Driver Education! The instructor, Tomi, was so patient and very thorough. Their communication throughout the entire process was top-notch!
We have known Tomi for 10 years and appreciate her professionalism, thoroughness and the care she shows to her students. We would highly recommend her as an instructor for any teen who needs to learn how to drive!
I know Tomi personally and professionally and I’ve watched her provide exceptional driver’s education to our community’s teenagers for 16 years. She provides high-quality, safe, and reliable services and I would recommend her to any parent that is preparing for such a huge milestone for their kids!
Tomi was amazing with both of our boys. She never made them feel nervous and was great at letting us know what to work on with them. We would highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone to teach their teen drivers.
Tomi was calm, professional, and very nice throughout my entire driving experience. She adapts to every student, and for me, she helped me with my first time behind the wheel, a rarity for her students. I liked that it was a one-on-one experience. Throughout my 3 lessons, she was calm, professional, and never faltered. Amazing job!
