I was initially searching for a school or instructor with reasonable pricing, assuming private instructors would be cheaper than schools, but that wasn't the case. My early enquiring experiences with private instructors weren't very welcoming. After thorough research and asking questions, I decided to enroll at my drive academy, and it turned out to be the best decision for a great price. As a new driver with no previous experience, I signed up for the 8-hour behind-the-wheel training program. From booking the course to planning schedules and road test arrangements, my experience with everyone (Sophi, Nicholas) was excellent. A special shout-out to my instructor, Francisco. He's attentive, experienced, and truly one of the best instructors I would say. His instructions are clear, easy to follow, and makes learning stress-free. I would highly recommend him to anyone. I cleared my road test easily. For improvement, I suggest expanding the curriculum to include advanced techniques like parallel parking and highway driving for students ready and enrolled for comprehensive courses.

I took three behind-the-wheel classes with Luis and felt very prepared by the end of them! He was very patient and knowledgeable. I also took one class right before my driving test at the DMV with Dany, and he was equally helpful and kind. I had an amazing experience, and passed my driving test easily! I can’t recommend this driving school enough.

Franciso is a great instructor. He made me confident and well prepped for the road test. I would definitely recommend him for your final lesson before the road test

Kiran Haq was a patient instructor and provided my son with a variety of experiences both during lessons and observation drives. We appreciated her flexibility with scheduling.

Our experience has been great! My son is completely ready to take his test and the teachers - both in the classroom and in the car have so helpful. They have always made sure he is prepared and knows what he is doing. The feedback he’s gotten was always constructive and positive. Kiran was especially helpful and made him feel so comfortable.

Cyndia is an great instructor. She is very helpful and friendly. Her teaching techniques are top class. She handled all my queries very well and helped me achieve confidence in my driving. Highly recommend ed.

Kiran Haq is a passionate driving instructor: she is incredibly patient, calm and knowledgeable in teaching my son all the necessary driving skills from day one. She gives clear instructions and positive feedback to both the student and parents to make sure they improve at each lesson. She is also easy to schedule with and always sends text messages ahead of time to make sure we know when and what to expect. My son really likes her tips each time to improve his driving skills. Overall, we are happy to having her as our driving teacher, thank you Kiran for coaching my son to be a safe driver.

Maheen is a professional and supportive instructor. My daughter Hareem Owais work with full time study but Maheen was always willing to accommodate her job schedule. Honestly I was not sure my daughter will the pass her Road test in first attempt now I'm speechless she passed it today. I'm pretty sure you'd definitely never regret having her as an instructor! I took my driving lessons from A1 Sports Driving School. Both Maheen and Mohammad are great instructors. They are very patient, friendly, and are willing to be flexible on their schedule to accommodate the working hours of the students. Their composure and encouragement had greatly helped my confidence behind the wheels. With their training I was able to clear my driving test in my first attempt. Thanks Maheen and Mohammad. I have recently learned driving from this school, 10HRS behind the Wheel as I never drove before. Trust me you, they are so good while teaching, proper rules clarity I got, polite behavior, each time my mistakes were address with confidence and never letting me down. I personally opted for the owner, i.e., Maheen Khan. If anyone is planning to learn, must select their services and with God's and their blessings, I got my DL at first attempt itself.

I am so greatful to take my driving lesson Maheen. I think she is gifted to do this job. She is not only teaching driving, but she is also make you to feel comfortable during her lesson. She knows her work and understand different characters. I like her personality and her teaching driving because I was able to understand easily. I wish that who ever want to learn driving can have Maheen.

She teaches both highway and city driving and never gets angry if you make a mistake. Instead, she calmly explains and helps you improve. Her support is invaluable, especially for new drivers, with her 12-hour classes offering comprehensive and effective training. Jassi's encouragement keeps you motivated, and her guidance for the road test is excellent. For ladies preferring a female instructor, Jassi provides a supportive learning environment. My daughter had a good experience with Excel driving school. Her driving instructor Jen is experienced and patient with new student drivers. My daughter is more confident driving after a few lessons with Jen.

We were lucky enough to have Steve Fako as our both of our daughters' behind the wheel instructor. Steve is knowledgeable, calm, and a wonderful teacher. He was helpful through the entire process including after the required behind the wheel hours and navigating the State test. Steve is just the person to help your son or daughter navigate the road. His kind and calm demeanor is what makes him an excellent instructor. Highly recommend Steve!!!

This was my family’s first time using Excel Driving School. I must say I’m very pleased with the in class teacher, the office staff and Leo the brave driving instructor. Leo gets 10 stars because he worked hard with my daughter’s crazy schedule and took her out driving in rain, snow and ice. I’m thankful my daughter had someone that understood that she’ll be driving in all weather conditions for the rest of her life and he used his knowledge and expertise to educate my daughter. Excel driving school and Instructor Gus were excellent from the beginning. Excel promptly scheduled our son’s first driving lesson, always very responsive, immediately available on the phone and in-person. In all of our interactions with Excel, they were always kind and very professional. Gus was the perfect instructor for our apprehensive son. Gus’ relaxed demeanor and calming teaching style put our son immediately at ease. Gus was also very accommodating with lesson rescheduling due to weather and unforeseen family circumstances Gus, in our opinion, is the best instructor any teen could be blessed to have, and Excel driving school was a pleasure to work with. We wholeheartedly recommend Gus and Excel driving school for every teen.

The worst school I signed up my kid. I bought 10 trainers class for my kid and at the beginning was great, so the pandemic arrived and they cancel everything (ok, I understand that) so after a couple months they returned the class and never send me an email to tell me the class had start again. I only found out after I saw the car from the school at the street and I called and askEd if the school was open, the lady told me yeah more than a month ago, so I tried to schedule class for my kid because the permit was near to expire and they made it complicated. After so much work my kid finally has a schedule, in the mean time my kid had an accident Saturday with her foot, so I called Monday morning the school and they charge me for cancel class because was it less than 48 hours, so how was that an accident! Still if I don’t agree I paid for it, and when my kid’s foot was better I called to schedule class and they didn’t have anything available. The worst customer service I‘ve experienced. Don’t recommend for anyone!

It is a well organized and structured program. Mr Byrd is very patient and understanding. He is an excellent driving instructor.

Scheduling drives has been incredibly difficult. The portal opens and in less than 5 minutes and all slots are filled ( not many slots to begin with I presume ). I understand there is shortage of drivers. I once logged on 3 minutes after the portal opened to find out all slots are gone and I have to wait till the next month. Slots only open one month at a time. Wish I could schedule a couple of months out. I never thought getting just 6 drives in would be this difficult. There have been 2 or 3 months where I did not receive any communication when slots would be open. You have to constantly check the system or call the 800 number to find out no one picks up. There is $150 charge if you don’t complete the drives in time to get an extension. Terrible customer service ! I know talking to other parents I am not the only one with these grievances.Hope someone sees this and addresses the scheduling issue. I don’t see this company in business long otherwise. ————- @Naperville Top Driver - in response to your post, unfortunately I did not receive any calls in January nor was able to get through to an agent the times I tried to call. I was extended for a fee yesterday but was told all of April is not available. However, I also emailed Mr.Woods there are some drives available and I should call the number again to schedule. Please help with the issue with scheduling and I am happy to edit my review. On a positive note, the drives and classes my son was able to attend were great ! No complaints. It’s the scheduling and the customer service over the phone that is the major issue

I enrolled my child in 2021. After the class portion was over it was difficult to schedule 8 drives. My child never completed the drives during the 9 contracted months with Top Driver. You will have to pay $150 for an extended month. I was not aware of this. I tried calling, but you have to call on the 15th to see if any drives are available. The offices are always closed and it is impossible to reach someone by phone. I paid $550 and my child have to wait until he is 18 to get his drivers license. Don’t waste your money. I am disappointed with the company. Make sure your child get their permit asap (15yrs) because they have to hold it for 9 months before they can do the road test after completion of drivers education class. The Driver’s Ed class have to be completed before you can do the road test. If not your child will have to wait until they are 18!!! This is unprofessional!!! I would give zero stars because I was ignored to the very end of the 9 month contract that I wasn’t aware of.
