Chas was an amazing instructor. Had a very direct approach and was able to break down any and everything step by step to make sure that you understood it. He had patience when needed, and was able to make you feel comfortable enough to build up your confidence. He made sure the I knew what I was doing and knew that I could do it! Couldn’t have done it without him! Big shout out to Chad!!
I came into the school having ZERO experience at all… I have never drove anything bigger than a pickup truck, and have never drove anything manual in my life… From zero experience to a licensed manual class A CDL driver! ... IT CAN BE DONE! (Shoutout to Alex & Rocky) Alex, Rocky, Steve, and Kathy are very knowledgeable and will help you with whatever problems you are having. I would recommend this school to any one wanting to acquire a CDL. I guarantee that anyone that attends 160, and follows the instructions given by the instructors, will become a graduate!!!
160 driving academy successfully trained me for CDL class A. Rocky, Chad, and Marylyn are professional cdl holders and instructors. I credit my success to these outstanding instructors whom made learning simple, provided feedback and never failed to make sure I had the knowledge and skills necessary to obtain a Class A CDL. Thank you all so much! Also the office manager Katherine helped jump start this whole process. From our first meeting she gave me a road map not only to obtaining my cdl, but also gave me a path to employment and necessary information to secure a job. I listened to her and took her advice and as of today I am happy to report not only a CDL class A, but I am employed by a local company doing local work. A true blessing from 160 driving academy to my family and I. I highly recommend anyone looking to become a professional driver to get started with 160 Driving academy they won’t let you down!
Clyde is awesome instructor I had I heard his voice the entire time and pass one and done. Overall school was a good experience learned so much in a little time. I was stressed and thought I never could do it when I first started coming to this school but if I can do it literally anyone can.
I went and took my cdl test and the instructor was very rude and unprofessional. I was given the wrong address by the company that I called to schedule my appointment so we ended up being two minutes late to the appointment. The instructor came outside all cocky acting was very rude from the first interaction. He never even told me what his name was. After I went inside to fill out the paper work I walked into his office to hand him the items that he needed and then got ready to set down in his office to fill out the paper work and he raised his voice and said “sit out there not in my office”. I was then failed on my pre-trip because there was some items that I did forget to mention but there was also stuff that I was deducted points on that were not even in the manual that you are given by the state to study. I highly DO NOT recommend this company for they are very unprofessional and rude.

Stop teaching people how to "Not" drive left lane law is a thing in the state of Indiana: Indiana Code Title 9. Motor Vehicles § 9-21-5-9 Sec. 9. (a) A vehicle that travels at a speed less than the established maximum shall travel in the right lanes to provide for better flow of traffic on the interstate highways. (b) This subsection applies to the operation of a vehicle: (1) on a roadway that has two (2) or more lanes of traffic in each direction; and (2) in the left most lane, other than a lane designated for high occupancy vehicles. Except as provided in subsection (c), a person who knows, or should reasonably know, that another vehicle is overtaking from the rear the vehicle that the person is operating may not continue to operate the vehicle in the left most lane. I've seen way to many driving instructors telling the students to maintain the left lane and also drive under the speed limit. this is a violation please update the instructor to the most recent Indiana laws and regulations for roadway motor vehicle use. And avoid teaching students improperly thank you
So convenient for working parents! Staff is very nice and very knowledgeable! Answered all my questions before I even had to ask. Highly recommend Behind the Wheel to anyone looking for a driving school for their child! So easy to work with!
Both of my daughters drove through BTW, and they were great to work with both times. I would highly recommend them.

Great school
Very disorganized, unprofessional and rude owner.
Great teachers, great staff. Its a driving school. Not much to say.
We have 4 kids enrolled. We can not get a drive scheduled or a return call or email. Do not waist your time or money. We are having to wait the amount of days and just go to the dmv to get there license. They should not keep enrolling students if they don’t have the drivers. After $1600 from my family alone this year and then to just have there drives closed and not responding to people is not how u run a business.
