I have never driven in my life. For me, driving was a lot of anxiety, accelerating fear, and images of pedestrians popping out in my head, and even the tragic sight of a car accident came to my mind every time I sat in the car. However, this school taught me the knowledge I needed and the dangers of driving for a whole day. Three weeks later, six hours of driving practice began. I was in charge of a gentle gentleman and easygoing man named Jake. I was worried because I was a beginner in driving and I was not good at English, but that worry soon disappeared. I asked him immediately if he had any questions, and he immediately gave me the best answer. After 6 hours of driving practice, many of my anxieties and fears of driving were largely gone. I was lucky to learn to drive from him. I strongly recommend this school to everyone.

I had Dave as my instructor and he was so patient with me and so kind. He helped me with my anxiety the whole time and made sure that everything would be okay ! His instructions were very clear to understand and overall it was a great experience I definitely recommend going !

Misty was my driving instructor and she was fab. She is very calm & patient, which helped me a lot. My whole experience with this school and misty was great. It was a fun driving experience. Thank you.

Our daughter sat for their eight hour class and did really well! The instructor, Robert was, by her account, outstanding; funny and easy to listen to. The entire staff were so patient and polite. Thank you all!

Jake was a very nice & amazing instructor. He is someone you can ask if you have any questions whether your driving or getting your license and don’t know who to call. I definitely recommend going to Kennedy driving school.

Veterans this is an awesome school, the owner is a veteran himself & he really understands our world. The school is great, the training is clear & to the point. In as little as 30 days they supply you with the basic knowledge of getting in the trucking industry.

I saw one of their cars breaking multiple traffic laws north of the river. I'd cut it some slack if a kid was driving, but instead it was a middle aged man, presumably an instructor. If he can't drive properly on his own, he for sure isn't teaching kids to do it properly.

I had a great experience learning to drive with Tim at Johnny Rowlands Driving School! Tim is an incredibly chill and relaxed instructor, allowing you to learn at your own pace and build confidence behind the wheel. He keeps the mood light with his sense of humor, so there’s no pressure or anxiety when driving with him. What really stood out to me was how accommodating he is. Even though his days off are Monday and Tuesday, he still made time to practice with me because my work schedule didn’t align with the available slots in the online system. This school is also the only certified international driving school in Kansas, making it a great option for international students who speak different languages. If you’re new to the U.S., I highly recommend learning with Tim as he has experience working with students from diverse cultural backgrounds, which makes the learning process even smoother. Overall, an excellent experience, and I highly recommend this school for anyone looking to learn to drive in a stress-free and supportive environment!

In response to Angela’s review: There are 2 differences between Kennedy driving school and Johnny Rowland’s: 1. Rowlands is $35 cheaper 2. You have 12 months to complete the course at Rowland’s (6 months at Kennedy). While Kennedy picks up the driver from their home (within the Topeka city limits), Rowland’s is transparent that you must bring your driver to their location for driving instruction. Both school’s offer the same curriculum and hours of 1-on-1 driving time. There is no way your student/child will be able to fully drive, responsibly, after 6 hours of driving instruction. So, in between lessons, there will be items that YOU will need to work on with your young driver. Johnny Rowland’s does an excellent job of providing feedback of what your driver did well, and needs additional practice on. I really appreciate the patience of the driving instructor and candid feedback. I have put in additional driving time, with my son, and it really showed at his second driving instruction. I am a single, working father and I would highly recommend Johnny Rowland’s (and have recommended to several of my friends). My son will complete his last set of driving instruction this weekend and then he will be able to obtain his restricted drivers license. I’m thoroughly impressed with the experience we have had with Johnny Rowland’s.
