i got the 10 hour lesson package back in july-august, it helped me build the foundations of good driving and successfully passed my drive test first try!
What a great experience we had with Ace driving school. Monte is top notch, accommodating, very professional and informative! Helped my daughter clean up something’s she needed help with,even let us use his company car for the test! If you are looking for an A rated drivers Ed defiantly call Monte!!!
Got Monte as my instructor great guy really down to earth, helped me learn to ride real quick and on top of it learn how to navigate Reno without gps and use my other senses. Went above and behind as an instructor, highly recommended if anxious about freeways, highways, and city limits.
I took the 6 hr package and I swear the money I spent is so worth it. Monte gave me confidence that I never knew I’ll have. I started my 6 hrs package on Aug 11, 24 and passed my actual drive test on Sept 7, 2024. Imagine, 1 take! Thanks Monte! Super grateful I met an instructor like you.
Monte was an absolutely amazing instructor. He was able to clear up any questions I had perfectly and made driver’s ed fun and interactive. I’m glad that I took this class in person, I learned so much more than I would have if I had taken the course online.

The company I work for sent me here to get my class A. Having experience with almost all equipment other than tractors, I got here with a mild confidence. The instructors were ALL absolutely incredible. This is a prime example of "teach the instructor". They instill the knowledge you need so heavily, that you can point out if an instructor makes an error. MOST of the equipment is new, there is a personality with each instructor for EVERYONE, and they make it fun. I didn't have to take a single retake, and passed all dmv tests with flying colors. I highly recommend this school but only have one piece of advice. Remember, this is truck school. AKA an accelerated blue collar technical certification. You HAVE to have thick skin. This doesn't go just for the school - but also the industry. If your feelings get hurt easily, find some common sense and LISTEN. If you can do this, you will have an absolute blast leaning something new.
I will forever be grateful to 160 driving academy. Damon, Lynn, and Matt are incredible instructors. Stacey is unbelievably helpful. They all helped me change my and my family's lives.
160 Driving Academy has to be the best, period. I couldn't possibly fathom another school in this area with the skills, experience, dedication and execution as this school. The instructors, Damon, Pete and Ray go above and beyond to ensure you have the skills and knowledge to safely prepare for and drive a combination vehicle, not just pass the CDL Test. In addition, Damon mixes things up in the skills yard and on the road on a daily basis creating teamwork and engagement, which in turn alleviates complacency. In other words, it's damn fun! If you put in the desire to learn, you will definitely love this school. If you want to sit on your butt and drag around, find another school. Thank you Damon, Pete, and Ray for your wisdom, patience, and dedication. It reflects great upon 160. I hope I made 3 new friends as I journey onward in my new career. Go Navy!
My experience at the Reno 160 Drive Academy was a 10 out of 10 from beginning to end. By far some of the best mentors I've ever had. They'll do whatever they can to help you learn, but you definitely need to go into this willing to learn and to listen to constructive criticism without getting upset or feeling discouraged. Everyone on this team is amazing. Stacey was really helpful when I signing up for the course, Damon, Matt and Lynn are the instructors at the yard. They're all very experienced drivers and they'll each teach different tips and tricks to better understand things throughout the course. I'm thankful for my time here! I would definitely recommend the 160 Drive Academy in Reno.
I just got my class A CDL with the help of the excellent instructors, Ray, Damon and Pete, I think they deserve a raise due to their teachings and attention to detail. This is the school to choose if you want a CDL license, I couldn't be happier with this experience.
