My 16 year old son just finished his 8 hour behind the week course with BTW. We had a fantastic experience. I can say that he truly was taught how to drive during this experience. He started with very little experience in a car (just parking lots) and had the confidence to drive on a highway by the end. His driver was patient and calm and taught in a way that gave him the information and that he needed to be a good and confident driver. I feel like they did the "hard" part of this for us and now we are just giving him experience but without the stress of teaching him to drive. I have 2 younger kids and we will definitely go back.
I can't say enough about what a great driver's ed experience this was for my son! Don was amazing - made him feel calm and comfortable throughout the lessons. My son looked forward to driving classes. Thank you, Don!
My son Sean had Daniel as his instructor. Daniel was great getting Sean more comfortable with driving; Sean looked forward to his lessons with Daniel & we both feel Sean got a lot out of these sessions! 5 stars & will definitely use Behind the Wheel Drivers Ed for my other 2 teenagers!

Bick’s Driving School is fantastic! Easy to schedule and set up reminders for you and your kid. Great customer service and I highly recommend.
Bick's was a great experience start to finish. We liked that they still offer in person classes since many have gone to the online option. We had an easy time scheduling our son's in car drive time perfectly in between a family vacation and his drivers test. We plan to continue to use Bick's for our other kids as they come of age.

They were wonderful to work with and my daughter had a great learning experience with all the drivers she was with. There was a scheduling issue due to an injured instructor but they worked with our schedule to still get her driving time completed prior to her scheduled driving test. Highly recommend!
Instructors were knowledgeable and helped my new driver feel more comfortable behind the wheel. I liked that they offered in-person classes for the book part of driver's education. They made scheduling for in-car driving easy. Other driving schools had a 3 to 4 month wait for in-car. My son has everything finished within two months of getting his temps. Now, we can continue to practice everything he learned until his birthday. I highly recommend Bick's East!

Stop advertising adult lessons if you don’t provide them at this location, it’s not very good practice to be knowingly false advertising and then quickly (and rudely) brushing people off to go to a different location on the way other side of town, take it off the website and other online ads and stop the confusion or start providing the service you’re advertising.
Tyler was my instructor and was good at helping me , he was honest on what i needed to work on and helped me get better at Maneuverability, on my last day i was great at it , good conversations and a chill guy , nice instructor too never was rude or disrespectful. Good guy
Staff was nice and friendly and they have amazing service!

The OG driving learning business. I used to walk pass them everyday. My friends all learned from Bicks. That was in the 90s/early 2000s My West Hi years. The prices as vastly different. Woah. My kid is next. Recommend. Careful,there's fake websites using Bicks information. Stay safe.
I cannot express my feelings of gratitude and satisfaction over the quality and professionalism of Bick’s Driving School and their staff. Not only did they accommodate our needs for scheduling, but they were so great with making my son feel comfortable and confident in his driving. I would highly recommend Bick’s to anyone.
I was super impressed with Bick's driving school. I went for their adult classes. They were able to quickly schedule slots based on what times worked for me. They do pickup from your house if its within their pickup area. They were always on time and driving with them was a very good experience. I also used their service to go for the driving test. They picked me up an hour and a half earlier and we did practice runs. Warren was my instructor and he went well out of his way to give me tips and practice. The school also lets you book your classes all online so you don't have to go to the school. The instructors always wore masks and the car well kept and clean. All in all, bicks driving school was super helpful!

Everyone at KMR was amazing. I don't remember my structure name but he was amazing. He took time out his busy day to make a video on how to go though the cones and that helped my daughter out so much. My daughter end up passing her test on the first try. so thank you guys so much I would recommend KMR to all my friends with kids and plan to use them for my other kids when it’s time for them to drive.
If you're looking for a driving school for your kids, this is the place to be. KMR driving school is the best in the city! All 3 of my children attended this driving school. The instructor is very thorough, patient, and knowledgeable about the laws and rules. Your kids will have the experience of a lifetime. And they will become excellent drivers.

Doing driving school through KMR was an overall terrible experience. It seems they do not know what they are doing. After finally getting scheduled for the class we met and i expected an experience similar to school seeing how its driving "School". I was very wrong and very disappointed. Everyday I went I sat in their backroom watching videos for 4 hours. She cared so little about what was going on in that classroom that the students were put in charge of what video was to be played next while she sat in her office doing god knows what. When she was actually in the room we were nearly supervised. After a 4 hour class of watching videos we were given homework that would be collected the next day. The next day we returned with our completed worksheet packets and we went over them as a class. She cared so little that she had us go over them as a group while she yet again ran into her office. After waiting a total of 5 months to be scheduled for in-car classes. Yes, 5 months, an absurd amount of time to wait. I finally completed all 8 hours and went in to get the paperwork that I did all the hours, it wasn't even started. I was told by the driving instructor that it would be ready Monday, went in Tuesday and she hadn't even started. Another issue with the paperwork is we think they also lost some. We were asked to sign a document that we were sure we had already signed 6 months ago. Overall, I would have given it 0 stars if possible, NOT RECOMMENDED!!! The only positive was the actual driver instructor, Mr. Gilmore. Great guy and excellent teacher.
If I could give this place no stars, I would. Zero professionalism, please avoid this place like the plague. They will take your money, give you poor service, and then refuse to give you a refund. They have probably had multiple refund requests, it is probably why it has become a non-negotiable. This company should not be in operation. Even though the school is opposite the BMV it has no reputation or customer service. I largely suspect that the positive reviews are fake. The negative reviews are accurate. I regret not taking their heed. This company is the worst I have ever experienced. All they do is scream/yell at you until you get right, that is not how you teach, and it will give anyone anxiety on the road. The instructor I had was called Al, if you do ignore this and go ahead, avoid him like the plague. Most of the time you spend won't even be on driving, you will be going to grocery stores so he can buy alcohol and gamble! He was late every single day or a no show! AVOID, AVOID, AVOID! They are thieves! Buyer beware.

My son did his in-car training with Bob Shropshire & Sons. I found them to be very professional, with excellent instruction, and superb customer service. My son happened to be in their instruction car one day when Channel 9 did a story on Bob Shropshire & Sons. Chris Shropshire called me to make sure it was okay with me that they use my son's image in the news story. I was impressed by that. Also, when it came time for Luke to take his driving test at the BMV, we were missing one piece of critical paperwork. Brenda, from the downtown office, worked with me, and made calls to the state to resolve the issue. It was above and beyond the call of duty. I highly recommend Bob Shropshire and Sons!
It took sometime to get my driving lessons. But Coach Kelly was awesome!! He helped me a lot in learning driving and instilled confidence in me which helped me to pass my exams. Will highly recommend him. He was fun to drive with and very professional.

Shropshire Sons driving school did an outstanding job helping my granddaughter with driving lessons. Within 2 days she was driving with confidence on the highway. The instructor, Mr Ellis, did an excellent job teaching her skills and tips and the basics of driving. They were also very prompt at returning calls and setting up the lessons with a very quick turnaround. I rate the service as outstanding and would recommend them to anyone needing in car driving lessons.
I was looking for a driving school for my sixteen year old son and found this place. They signed me up right away and were very easy to work with. The driving instructor was great! They came to the house and picked up my son in their car (which was good since I didn’t have a car for my him to drive). My son did learn a lot from the instructor for only being with the him for those few days. The instructor worked around our schedule and that was nice. I’m happy I choose Bob Shropshire and Sons for a driving school and would recommend them.

Good option
Can't seem to get anyone to answer our calls when trying to start in-cars. It says specifically to call the number listed on the website to schedule the in-cars, but for the past two weeks we can't catch anyone capable of picking up the phone. (We've been calling during the open hours listed on the website and we've yet to receive a returned call from all of the messages we left)
I failed my driver's test on the first try and had to take an abbreviated course. All the other schools offering this service for adult drivers were either closed or completely booked, so that's where Driver's Ed Academy came in. Sadly, the instructor was beyond unprofessional. He was loud, abrasive, disruptive, and overall a horrible individual to learn from, let alone drive with. The two lessons of two hours each day totaling four hours all together felt like weeks. The days consisted of this person screaming at me, constantly telling me to start, slow down, stop when I'm already coming to a slow, go when I've barely had any time to check my surroundings ( He would often check for me which I feel defeats the point of DRIVER'S EDUCATION) and hurry me across every single road, intersection, and crossway. There was also a time when a small pickup truck was quickly pulling out of a driveway in a residential area and almost collided with us. I spotted this and corrected my path so that we would be out of the way of being hit. ( Keep in mind it was pulling out fast and there was not time to simply stop unfortunately) I did this and immediately, he snatches the wheel from me and starts loudly shouting at the top of his lungs about us slightly touching the grass. He even admitted that we would have collided had it not be for me noticing, but he still felt the need to almost actually make us crash by forcefully grabbing the wheel from me. In summary, I am unsure if this older guy that I believe goes by the name of David handles all driving related matters at this school or not, because from what I have seen from other reviews, there does seem to be other teachers here of value. But as far as abbreviated training goes, I highly, HIGHLY recommend you go elsewhere. Yes, getting your license is exciting and a huge milestone, but it doesn't have to suck. If you're in the area, please bide your time and wait it out. I personally received all my actual driver training from the AAAA International Driving School and the guy who taught me there was the complete inverse of everything David was. I'd recommend them any day over Driver's Ed Academy.
Rude instructors especially if you are from foreign country treat you with no respect. Don’t pay full if u really have to use them

I’ve regretted few things in my life more than signing my daughter up for virtual driver’s ed through Stanley’s. After we signed her up to start the two-week course in June, we discovered that her varsity basketball team camp would be on the 5th & 6th sessions during her course. She couldn’t miss camp, and Stanley’s was gracious enough to reschedule those days. We had to wait an entire month to make up those sessions and take the test, but we were okay with that because this was our conflict, not theirs. On the first makeup session, we had tech issues. But guess what!? No one is available to help, despite there being a message saying to call this number with tech issues, until well after 10 am. The virtual class starts at 9. My husband and daughter went to the office to try and avoid missing this session, and we were told it looked to them like she was logged in and everything should prob be okay, but either way, we’d hear back from them before test day. Well we never did hear back and assumed that meant all was well, until it was time to take the test and the option to do so was not available for my daughter. I called multiple times that same day, the next day (Friday) and FINALLY got in touch with someone on Monday. Now she has to wait another three weeks to take ONE course and can’t take the test until six days after that. Well past her 16th birthday. Now we are months behind on scheduling in-car training, let alone even scheduling her drivers test. I have been never been more frustrated in my life. Considering the amount of money they take from each student, you would think they could afford to pay enough people to support the classes they have, but that clearly is not the case. Getting ahold of someone is like an Olympic event. I will never recommend Stanley’s to anyone, but if you do decide to use them, do NOT do virtual. You’ll be on an island entirely alone with no support whatsoever.
After the amount of money your pay these people and your kid complete the classroom instruction just to be unable to sign up for in car driving lessons because they have to many people needing to take the in car training. They continue to schedule new classes despite the previous class still needing to take in car lessons. I have no idea how they have stayed in business for this long. My son said they only have four in car trainers which in my opinion is a joke. I feel like we was completely ripped off and the first come first serve crap should be illegal.
AMAZING! Was the cheapest option i found. Really great instruction and Mrs. Stanley is so fun!

Been waiting over a year to get in for adult lessons. Everytime I call they tell me they don't know when they are taking adult students. How can you run a driving school and not be able to tell students when you will have openings. I will be calling Bicks in Western hills.
My son finished his in car with AAAA INTERNATIONAL DRIVING and the experience from start to finish was great. My son was happy with his in car instructor Daniel and I was happy with the ease of scheduling and the quality of customer care. They really made this a pleasant experience. Thank you AAAA INTERNATIONAL DRIVING!
We had a great experience using this company for my son's driver's ed. The instructor (Vernon) was excellent and my son is well prepared to drive on his own. Easy to book - although all done via phone, not online. Highly recommend.
They don't give you pricing unless you share your information and sign up on their website. Then they send you a coupon telling you it's 459 but that is their regular price. They advertise that you can learn in a manual transmission car but they charge $200 extra for that
