The experience with Behind The Wheel (BTW) was great for our new driver. The class time increased his knowledge of the road, and the driving lessons increased his confidence in driving. Mr. John is funny, knowledgeable, and patient. We will definitely return to BTW for our youngest son. Thanks BTW and Mr. John!
I booked private driving lessons for my wife to get some extra practice before her driving test, and the experience was outstanding. Her instructor, James, went above and beyond — he was professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly effective at communicating what needed improvement. He provided clear, constructive feedback that helped us understand exactly what to focus on. We couldn’t have asked for a better instructor. Highly recommend!
Genuinely an amazing class it has five stars for a reason. The lessons are well-structured and packed with knowledge. The class itself is a bit long, but you get a break every hour and a lunch break at 11:30. There's a vending machine for those who don't bring lunch. The six hours of driving included with the course are not part of the classroom time; you have to schedule those separately.
My son attended the driving class and we both had a great experience. The owner and all of the instructors were helpful and great to work with, especially Mr. John. I highly recommend their class for new drivers.
The school is amazing. True dedication for drivers to know what to do. Spend quality time in classrooms and driving making sure each driver is prepared. Highly recommend for anyone with an upcoming driver.

Great class, very entertaining. Zoom-based class made it easy to complete. Mr. Delgado helped the long 8 hours go by quicker.
I thoroughly enjoyed the pace and layout of this course. It was great to be able to do a live zoom and still interact and engage with the instructor and the other participants. I learned a lot, some things I knew already and some I didn't. Overall Samuel was a great instructor.

Samuel was an amazing proctor/teacher. Kept the class in check, and was quite informative.
I enjoyed the course. Samuel presented it very well. I'm 70 yrs old and much has changed so I learned a great deal. I still remember my drivers ed as if it were yesterday. I took much of the advice to heart and have already applied it to my driving. Thank you

They did a great job showing my son the safety of driving and teaching him how to be safe on the road my son has autism and they did a excellent job explaining step by step to keep him safe I would recommend them and I will go back with my next son
Finding available time slots for road lessons was overly difficult. Our teen completed classroom work at the end of September, and it took until the end of December, weeks past their 16th birthday, to complete the 4 driving lessons we had pre-paid for. We had to cut holiday travel short for both Thanksgiving weekend and Christmas weekend to accommodate what little appointment availability there was. We were initially excited that Haman's could administer the road test in place of making an appointment at the Driver Services Center, however, our teen completed the required testing on December 26 and still has not received the required documentation to obtain their license. (It is now January 16th). We were told to expect about 5 business days for processing, and we expected a couple of extra processing days due to the state offices being closed on December 26 and January 2. Now school is back in session, and we are stuck scrambling to find transportation for our child. Today I was informed the standard turnaround time is 10 business days (not 5 business days), and probably longer due to the holidays. We would have gladly gone to the local driver services offices to obtain a license during the school break if we had been informed about the extra lag time. If we go that route now, it will involve missing school, which is frustrating since we planned all the timing around winter break.
Absolutely awful. Paid for classes and driving instruction for my teen. Class was overfilled and it was impossible to book the actual driving instruction because the slots were all filled every time I looked online. If I called they'd just tell me to check back the next month because nothing was available. Took several months and hours of calling and constantly checking the website just to get one driving session booked. Gave up trying for a while, called back to schedule more and was told that I'd "waited too long" and would "have to pay for the entire thing again". If they'd had slots available and enough instructors to accommodate the students they booked in the class that might be understandable - but it wasn't our fault we couldn't schedule for months and months and months on end. Very, very disappointed to the point of actually feeling like we were scammed.
I would highly recommend them. I know most of the instructors personally and they are really good people.

The staff was amazing. Never being in this industry before so I was nervous when I began school. Michelle, Rocky, and all the instructors were dedicated to their students success. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. All the instructors were amazing but I have to give a big shout-out to John B. who's "good morning sunshine" always brightened up my entire day!
160 driving academy is very good school for obtaining your CDL license. The branch manager at the Chattanooga location (Michelle) will help you in any way possible to make sure that you are getting the best experience in the classroom and makes sure you will succeed. The yard where you actually get to experience driving and learning how to maneuver a truck and trailer. Is pretty fun, even for people that have never been in a truck before. I had a amazing experience and got to meet some wonderful people. The instructors at the yard will teach you everything you will need to know, on how to drive a truck and will help you succeed. I would definitely would recommend this academy to anyone that is looking to get there CDL license.
Toni was amazing in class and Bill and Emory were great instructors but I must say that there needed to be another instructor at the yard. There were many days we would stand around with no instruction because Bill was busy and there were to many students for 1 instructor.
160 academy is a great school! Personally all instructors from top to bottom are hands on and patient and were willing to help me and push me everyday to get my license! From Bill, Brandon, Emory, Robert, and John you will receive all the knowledge and information to obtain your license and become a successful driver….
Great experience here. Staff was very helpful. Always available for questions. Taught all of the material as expected. Entered the class clueless how to drive a big rig. Left the class totally confident in my newly acquired skills. I would highly recommend this school to anyone interested in acquiring their CDL license.
