When I first started this school I didn’t know how to drive a manual at all. The owner and teacher Mr. Melvin, with great patience and understanding, taught me how to switch gears and taught me how the truck moves. Now I can back and park an 18-wheeler in any situation. I can even put the truck in an angle and come up out of it at the right time. I’m so happy I chose this school. Mr. Melvin is a great teacher! I’m ready to get on the road with confidence.
When all the other driving schools didn't show interest in me furthering my career CLASS A helped me get to where I needed to be.GREAT school Mr. Lewis and his colleagues are the BEST!
Being at Class A Academy I came with a mindset determined to get my cdls and become a professional truck driver I also want to thank Mr Lewis and the driving academy staff for there help and support through this journey. I came in and left with my cdls in the time frame that was given and I'm very satisfied and happy with my success of passing the test to obtain my class A driver license!!!

I am sharing this in response to a man I talked to through the school. Not the school itself. This man I just hung up with. He wanted to be a robot. He had no feelings, did not want you to talk to him. He didn't wanna answer any questions. He just wanted to read his script and hurry up. I was trying to ask a question about the week refresher course they had. He said, I can't argue with you I am telling you what has to be done." What? I was asking you about the week class not arguing. Seriously you guys when someone calls you may want to act like a human being. Compassion, caring and listen. You just made me want to give up on you all and find another place to go to.
I want to give a special shout-out to all the 160 driving academy staff members Ms .Monique, Sharrod, Doc, Brown, Nick, Jarquin, Ashley, And Tony for their incredible role in helping me accomplish my CDLs I highly recommend this academy to anyone that's try to receive a CDL trade.

Great school with multiple teachers ,with different styles of teaching , that know exactly what they’re doing . All you got to do is listen and be patient and they will make sure you get your Cdl ( the only downside is that it does get dusty on the yard , so come prepared to get dirty )

I had a great experience with my instructor Shalane, she was informative, very attentive, pushes you and was very welcoming. They give you a certificate even at the end, which is yayy.
Smart Drive Academy absolutely hit it out of the park. My instructor was articulate, engaging, and a true fountain of knowledge. As a retired police officer, he brought the class to life with real-world stories, practical experience, and a deep understanding of both the law and safe driving. What really impressed me were the audience questions — they were thoughtful, lively, and added so much to the learning experience. (They were so good I almost thought they were plants!) The course itself is affordable, convenient, and designed to take at your own pace. I learned more than I expected — including several things I probably should have known all along. I can’t recommend Smart Drive Academy enough for anyone who wants a positive, professional, and genuinely informative experience.

Thanks for everyone's help at Maxwell Driving School. I periodically take these classes to keep my driving skills honed. I drive alot with work and my personal travel and the driving school keeps me on my toes. It also helps keep my car insurance rates more affordable. I highly recommend this school for everyone. It could save your life and save you money. Thanks again.
this was THE WORST experience i’ve ever had. $550 plus TAX for them to teach you everything that was the in the DMV manual. I only learned one thing which was the alcohol level. You only drive around in 3 different areas for an hour. No backing up, parallel parking, or anything. They teach you everything your parents can teach you at HOME for FREE. On top of the $550 dollars you spend, they don’t tell you that the TN ROAD TEST ISN’T INCLUDED. They charge you an extra $60 JUST TO DO THAT. And please don’t get me started on the RUDE receptionist. Every time you call, she has an attitude. Also, after you take the road test, you have to wait an EXTRA 10 days to for the test scores to even be put IN THE SYSTEM. They swore up and down they told me that, but didn’t tell me ANYTHING. Now after taking this class for almost 2 MONTHS, & 5 TRIPS TO THE DMV, i still have not received my license. TOTAL waste of money, and would NOT recommend.

As the parent of an athlete, it was important for us to complete Drivers Ed during the summer. This was no where near the case, as we took the class at the end of June 2021 and did not complete the course until October 2021. I found communication to be lacking on the front end, because I had to register for the week long course and then I had to register individually for each driving session (something that I don't feel was clearly communicated during registration). Between the lack of communication on the front end that did not fully disclose that the driving sessions could take months and the lack of after school time slots available, I felt like this process was much longer and drawn out than I expected. Also be prepared that the cost of the driving test is not included in the fee for the course. It is an additional charge. The driving teachers were the highlight. They were very patient and gave my son some great tips.
Did not teach how to drive backwards; example parallel park and even not teach how to back out of a parking spot. Driver lessons where suppose to be a hour each driver teacher came back in 50/55 minutes and even when they were late leaving because of the teacher they still shorted our time. I would have did a better job teaching my child myself vs spending $550 for a half job.

I had the best experience there in 2023. I had the best instructor that a person ever dreamt of having . My instructor name is Billy, he was very hard and strict on me because he wanted what was best for me. Safety is his top priority, no excuses. I went there with a mission to get my CdL and start on my goals as being a successful driver. With the help of swift, I was a first time passer, I’m currently a mentor and I’ll be an examiner real soon. I didn’t want the road to be easy, I wanted it to be worth it. At the end of the day, wherever you go, you have to have your mind made up and know your why. Stay optimistic!!!! Everyone in my class passed and now are successful. That year we had an all time high of passing. …. If I can encourage anyone out there that may read this post, remember, this is your dream and your teacher is there to help you you get there. Push by all means and don’t let anyone or anything stop you!!!! Trust the process !!!
Eat healthy while you are on the road but we at the terminal are only going to stock the cooler and shelves with high amounts of sugar and carbohydrates that turn into sugar 😜. We closed down the Cafe that might possibly offer alternative choices so yeah god eating and don't worry about that blood sugar thing.
I had a bad experience I don't I would recommend Swift transportation trucking academy to anybody you only get two weeks to train and you have to do a class that you done a virtual class too same exact class it's just a waste of time
