I highly recommend First Safety Sunshine Driving school. I took the 30 mins warm up and Skill test with Lenji. He communicates very well and informs about all small rules that we might forget. It was very effective taking the warm up class. Worth the money. He was courteous to address all questions and clarified all rules.

Malika did an amazing job! From the first class up until the final drive for the license Malika was calm patient and professional. We were able to make all the classes without it interfering with school and finished most all classes except the final drive before turning 16. We were so glad we chose Malika and recommend her to everyone learning to drive.
If I could give Malaika 10 stars I would. Hands down, she IS an excellent instructor and has incredible passion for what she does. She was quick to respond to questions I had as a parent, wonderful with my daughter giving her the confidence she needed. My daughter enjoyed Malaika so much that she was sad when driver's Ed was over. I loved that Malaika runs the whole thing and is a local business. She teaches the curriculum and takes students on drives....no hassle of trying to schedule rides (I've heard it has been difficult with other companies.) I would 1000% recommend! I will most definitely be taking my younger child to Malaika when the time comes!

My daughter attended Time to Drive 6 years ago and we had such a positive experience that there wasn’t a doubt where my son would attend when his time came last fall. Dino is an excellent instructor. I feel much more comfortable with driving after taking lessons with him.
Really good, and people friendly. Did my written test $40, and driving skill test for $80 with schools car. The examiners were friendly and gave out clear instructions. Would recommend it.
I got my driver license today! If you're looking for super patient instructors, you have to book a lesson with Eddy or John. I'm in my 30s, and I'm a very nervous person, so it wasn't an easy task to build up my confidence, but they did it. Some extra points: Eddy speaks Spanish, and John has a contagious chill and kind attitude.

I have a great experience with roadsafe driving school, I believe is the best driving school in Seattle. I bought super package which taught me so many driving traffic safety measures. Now, I passed my skills test and able to drive in every where is town or freeway with confidence. I would Highly recommend
I had a great experience learning to drive at this academy! One of the things I appreciated most was the focus on parking skills — parallel parking, reverse, and tight spots were all covered thoroughly, which really boosted my confidence. The location is very accessible; I used to travel from downtown, and it was always easy to get to. The pricing is also very affordable compared to other schools I looked into. Most importantly, the instructors were super friendly and patient. They created a relaxed learning environment, which made the whole process much less stressful.
I can’t thank enough to Roadsafe Driving Academy team, I have learned so many techniques of driving safety as I bought adult advanced Package which gave 9 hours. I’m happy that I’m able to drive confidently in everywhere including downtown and freeway. What really caught my attention how quickly mastered parking maneuvers, which have been struggling for years. I have finally passed my skills test, I would definitely recommend to everyone here. Getting a driver's license after taking driving lessons at Roadsafe Academy was a very thrilling experience. I had always heard that getting driver's license is very tough in Seattle, but that is not the case if you took lessons here. Two teachers, Omar and Angel who gave me driving lessons at the school were patient, competent, through professionals at their jobs. They taught me all the good driving techniques as well as gave me lessons for going on highways, parking, driving at night, during rain, on different terrains etc. They covered all aspects of training without complaining. They also gave me complimentary lessons before I took the test so as to get the confidence. I would recommend this school to all people who want to get their driving licence after through practice. Thank you Roadsafe Academy for making me a confident driver.

They were very professional! I am telling this after they did not allow me to write my first knowledge test because I was late. The instructor was very detailed and observed every move I was making and guided me very well! I would recommend this driving school to everyone and anyone who wants to drive safe and be safe on the road!
Marty had been a great instructor, he helped me build my confidence in driving in city traffic and in highways. Marty shared lots and lots of tips on safe driving practices, pointed out edge case scenarios and gave lots of feedback. He also prioritized the scenarios I wanted to practice, definitely recommend.
YOON MY GOAT!!!! The only thing that made class bearable lmao. I took a zoom class and even when it was slow at times it was still pretty good. The videos were funny so that’s a plus. It was an end of the day (6:30-8:30) class on busy school weekdays so I might be biased, but I was always very bored and tired. The driving instructor in training Yoon was amazing and fun with good personal stories, and the scheduling were pretty good :)
I failed the driving test the first time around due to my own testing anxiety; however, I practiced with Nathan and Marty. They truly built up my confidence when driving and I was able to pass the second time around. So grateful for the instructing team here at this branch! I feel so prepared and confident to drive safely on the road now -- all thanks to Marty and Nathan!

I recently had a very disappointing experience at this testing center. The service provided was subpar, and the environment was not conducive to a successful testing experience. Additionally, I discovered that this center is not listed among the approved Washington DOL training schools and testing locations. I strongly advise future candidates to consider alternative options for their testing needs.
First Pass Driving School was a great learning experience and overall, is the school to be at to get your license! The instructor was very thorough when teaching the various guidelines of the road and everyone in the class makes you feel welcomed. I would recommend this school to anyone wishing to receive their drivers license.
First Pass instructors Moha and Moalim are great. Their ability to provide instruction and patience as the students learn is awesome. As a result my daughter learned to be confident with the rules of the road and her driving skills. From a parent’s perspective I appreciate their patience and accommodations with scheduling. Awesome! Through out this great class you learn a lot while having a good time. Moha (The teacher) is really funny and good at teaching the rules of the road. Everything is very organized and well handled at this school. The 6 hours of driving with a teacher are very helpful because you learn a ton of stuff that is necessary on the roads. Additionally there are some fun activities, like getting to wear some "Drunk Goggles" and then trying to navigate through the class room. Every one was laughing and had a really good time. Overall the class is great and well worth it!

I just passed my driver’s skills test today and had such a great experience! My examiner, Scott, was incredibly kind, patient, and professional. He made me feel calm and comfortable the whole time, which really helped with my nerves. The process was smooth, and he explained everything clearly. I also want to give a big shoutout to Bella at the front desk—she was so friendly, welcoming, and helpful from start to finish. The positive energy from both Scott and Bella really made the experience less intimidating and more enjoyable. Highly recommend this place if you’re planning to take your test!

We have loved the driving school at swerve! They helped our daughter learn new skills at times when it was extra nerve wracking to teach her as her parents. Robby was especially patient and encouraging to her as she went through the process. Would highly recommend!

My experience at Defensive Driving School was very positive. I have previous driving experience, so I did not take any instructional lessons. But scheduling the written and driving test was efficient and easy. During the driving test itself, Jimmy G. - who was an amazing tester/instructor - gave me such useful advice during the 30-minute warm-up segment (highly recommended). When it came to the driving test itself, it went very smoothly. Highly recommend Defensive Driving School at UW, and Jimmy for the driving test!
Great driving school with wonderful instructors. My examiner, Jimmy Green was just a delight and really helped me stay calm and focussed. I had a great experience with Defensive Driving School in the U-District. I did both my knowledge and skill tests with them — they were punctual, professional, and offered a good price. I had 10 classes with Julian, and I had no prior driving experience. Julian is a fantastic teacher and helped me build the right mindset for driving. Classes are scheduled through the website, and there are usually available slots within the next week. Seattle roads are not as difficult as some people say. This is a good school for new drivers
I had a great experience taking my driving test with 911 Driving School. The process was smooth, well organized, and the staff were friendly and professional. My examiner, Joshua Chan, was calm, patient, and made me feel comfortable throughout the test. He gave very good feedback after the driving test. Hardworking and passionate instructors Niko, Andrey, and Ahmed made this school worth it. They deserve raises and a proper yard.
All the instructors at 160 are very knowledgeable about the trade and will teach you everything you need to know about truck driving. Whether you plan to drive Automatic or Manual, they thoroughly prepare you for the test and the real world as well, and it was such a pleasure to attend 160 and learn from Nico, Andrey, Robert and Ahmed.
Big thanks to Niko, Andre & Ahmed. Couldn’t have done it without them. Although they don’t have all their trucks running, but they make it work to where everyone gets their time and training in. The Instructors, GREAT and SUPER COOL!! Management though, as in the 160 Academy itself, I’ll tell you what! They cheap. They don’t wanna fix the yard trucks but they wanna post fancy pictures on their website. Million dollar company and yet they don’t want to help the little guys out with just a few trucks. It was not easy to find free places in the summer, but I was lucky and I got to a driving school. I had no driving experience in the US, only in my own country, so I tried my hand to get a driver's license. Considering that my level of English is not high, but instructor was ready to communicate with an interpreter 😀 But we did without him, because clear instructions were provided, comments were made immediately on the spot. I felt comfortable and today I already have my ID and a little more confident.
I'm so happy I chose this location to learn how to drive. I not only got my permit, but also my driver's license in a few months. I have gained so much confidence as a new driver thanks to professional instructor.

IDA driving school is strongly recommended. Its location on Westlake Avenue N in Seattle provides an easy transportation for the downtown regions. I enjoyed watching the lake view and the marine activities whenever I was visiting. In addition to teen drivers and new drivers driving sessions, anyone who hope to be familiarized with Seattle/state of Washington's traffic and road conditions can experience the learning in high qualities too. Defensive driving is irrevocably required when driving in Washington and IDA is the best school for it.
I took driving lessons at IDA's Bellevue location before, and I am so glad that now they have a new location closer to me! I took the 30-minute warm-up and driving test at the new Westlake location, and it was a game-changer! Joyce helped me calm my nerves, reviewed key points, and gave me the confidence I needed right before the test. Highly recommend!
I did not pass the skills exam, and I fully acknowledge my mistakes. However, what left a truly negative impression was the behavior afterward. When I was clearly upset, Joyce laughed and said, “See you next time,” in a way that felt dismissive and insensitive. It came across as mocking rather than supportive. The instructors show a lack of empathy, and the scoring feels subjective and inconsistent. This experience was disappointing, and I won’t be returning to this location for my next test. Edit: A few days later, I took the test again and passed with an almost perfect score in a different test center. I shared my experience at IDA with the proctor, who remarked that IDA was particularly subjective to me and mentioned that I likely would have passed at any other testing center. Issue here is that they don’t have incentives to pass students who didn’t take classes with them.

This place is closed and there no driving schools or anything this building and they move somewhere else and really disappointed about the service and no idea why still they cannot update their website
I, an inexperienced driver, completed both my driving lessons and road test at this location, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. The instructor was friendly, patient, and made the learning process enjoyable. Special kudos to Isaiah for his exceptional guidance; he not only helped me gain confidence behind the wheel but also provided valuable insights that proved crucial during the road test. The customer service was also super helpful.
As an adult looking to get their Permit, I was excited to be able to take the Driver Knowledge Test with Swerve. However, upon taking the test on 7/11/2021 and passing it I was informed it would be available for download that evening by 5:00pm. After two emails and two calls I finally got a call back a week later explaining "they'd already submitted it and I needed to contact the DOL." After reaching out to the DOL, I learned this morning that I have to go and physically pick it up at an office. The soonest appointment is August 19th....
As an adult who had very little driving experience and a lot of anxiety Swerve had my back from the get go. From Matt at the front desk cheering me on to my instructor. Phil was patient and supportive,. He had high expectations but always gave me the tools to meet them. Giving me lots of practical tips and tricks that helped me get passed my nervousness and trust myself. SMOG for life! Thanks Swerve!
Officer is nice. School car is super super dirty(you can notice dirt everywhere). I got allergy after using school car, even I put the mask on🥲. Hopefully, after I reviewed this they will clean cars. For the driving test I am not quite impressed. There is details that I could not tell every single ones in one review.

I did my test in 15 min, the gentleman that tested me was very kind and patient. I passed on my first try. In the end he went over couple mistakes that I made and gave me some advice on how to drive .
i highly recommended. just take the written test once and then I passed. a comfortable and quite place so I can stay focus. thanks!

He is super rude. He yelled at me all the way and always try to find a small ridiculous fault that you make. Strongly not recommend this place or you just gonna waste your money to get yell by an old man.
He picks and choses who he passes. He passed a friend of mine who techically failed and he knew he did along with another person who was there taking the test, but when i went he said i didnt pass when i studied for DAYS and read the book. Hes untrustworthy and shouldnt be running a bussiness. Hes a scammer and will b reported to the BBB

Worst place. Do not come here. Police officers please investigate this corrupted place. They just try to rip off people money and they only accept cash. I do not understand why this place got the license in the first place. I can not believe corruption can has a place in the USA.
Don't take test here. They use the $60 test as a bait, then they exploit the rules and make you pay another $250 to pass.
Advise not to visit this school, the instructor/examiner is money minded and charges exorbitant fees again and again.
